Remarkable... this woman's voice is reminiscent of a warm cup of french vanilla cafe au lait! I fell in love with her voice after stumbling upon two of her albums on sale. I've been an avid collector ever since.

You just CANNOT do this song unless your heart has been broken...real bad. Bitter sweet. Cassndra's voice is so haunting and the acoustic players make this touching. True artists at work. Thank you.

A wonderful singer like Cassandra Wilson....yet it feels like the musicians are on separate trajectories with this beautiful song, tempo-wise. But in spite of this she carries the song.

Taste really is a strange thing. I'm not closed minded at all, I love a lot of different types of music. But I think this is fucking awful, I just love the violin solo, its strange as hell...

@findemfuckemnflee Listen to Billie Holliday doing it. It's here on youtube from "Lady In Satin". She's almost dead, but give it a couple of listens and you'll fall in love with this song. It can be interpreted in so many ways...

I think that what she makes of this song is exactly what was intended... Great performer!!! I mean I love her voice, but that that feeling... Damn, can't even find words for it..
