  • This was OUTSTANDING. Nice compilation and good drill down the the character of several men.

    Thank you Mr rugbybrute

  • Whoever said that hoot is a real character, you're wrong...he was based off of several characters in the movie if you read the book, there was a guy named hoot who served as a delta operator, but was not the person Bana played in the movie. And delta force does exist to the guy who said that they don't there just classified.

  • @jrhody17 hes based off john mace guanas (or something like that)

  • @jrhody17 The men known as Delta Force are officially classified as the 1st Special Operations Detachment, and they do not officially exist according to the US Government.

  • @MrAmazinAsian Like the Navy SEALs They are fake and dont there

  • 2:04

  • Barra barra something just google Blackhawks down movie soundtrack imdb n it will show all songs by name :D!

  • What's the name of the song where he gets picked up at the beginning. Respond ASAP please :)

  • @ploper93 Rachid Taha's Barra Barra.

  • @macky111222 wow you have a big mouth

  • i didnt realise or know that there were delta force operators in this movie. i thought it was just rangers. but this is real cool knowing that now

  • i accidently dislike vid

  • anyone know what kind of accent eric bana was going for with this character?? it's not really southern...maybe texan? he's australian so maybe he just couldn't pull off a typical southern accent...?

  • 5:26 is my most favorite part b/c it's really touching to me.

  • Thanks mate, it took me 2 times if watching it & few hours to cut & paste on a basic editing suite I got free with some cheap web cam I appreciate all the great feedback

  • @rugbybrute Great stuff, but I wish you had run the scene with garrotte and recoiless a little longer, I love it when Hoot links with the Rangers and says: "THIS IS HOOT..."

  • Very well put, loved the video.

  • you left out all of the best bits.

  • thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you for not ruining the video with shitty music

  • 2:00 to 2:17 one of the best lines, I have over 30 friends serving over seas, and every time they come back we hang, go out to eat, and some idiot asked them what they think about it, and they don't say a word or use this line. They say this military movie is the most accurate on life as a combat soldier

  • @DarkFenix34512duh it is dumb ass its based on a real movie

  • @DarkFenix34512 it is dumb ass its based on a true story its history

  • @TheShellshock1992 I know what I meant was the show not all soldiers are for or against whatever combat there in, it shows that some just fight for each other

  • why does nobody mention JTF2

  • @caddop22

what i meant to say was during the making of tyhe movie they had to learn the stuff they did such as fast roping off of the Blackhawk

  • If Hoot's still out there playing the game, I wish him well.

  • what does that ranger say on 4:55???

  • Truest line in the movie at 5:50. "You can't control who gets hit, who doesn't. It aint up to you, it's just war."

Don't beat yourself up for things you can't help. Most difficult part of life.

  • stupendo questo passaggio

  • they missed th part where he mans the 50 cal.

  • very good clip, thanks for sharing.

  • All of you guys who are like "Oh, I'm gonna be in Delta Force when I join the Army"

First of all, playing first-person shooters is not "joining the Army". Secondly, Delta Force does not exist according to the United States government. We have reasonable proof that it does. But don't go off saying you're gonna become an operative for a unit that doesn't exist. Lastly, you get hand-picked to join Delta. You don't just try out for Delta School. So come on guys... Think before you speak.

  • @apachepilot2251 Since the 1990s, the Army has posted recruitment notices for the 1st SFOD-D[8] which many believe refers to Delta Force.

    -wikipedia

  • @csokolin "many believe" ... key words there, brotha.

  • @apachepilot2251 Actually he is right, it is Delta's MOS number

  • @dougpowers2 it's not the MOS number, it's the unit designation. Jesus, people scare me.

  • @apachepilot2251

    "Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta"

    Yeah I think its Delta.

  • @csokolin I'm not saying it doesn't exist. In fact, I believe it does. And I already knew the 1st SFOD-D thing. I'm just trying to wake people up. Don't overanalyze.

  • @apachepilot2251 Dude stop generalizing, I wanted to make it into delta before I knew call of duty existed and i'm sure some others did too. I am too embarrassed to talk about it in real life because of people like you.

  • Mcknight ( Sizemore) and Hoot ( Bana) Are my 2 favorites.

  • @macky111222

there was 4 bootnecks on 2 apaches, the poilts were army, they got glad rags 4 it the bootnecks got nothing, u no why? becuse they are expected to do that, find me another man that would....

  • heres a idea stop talking like you all know whats its like, you all think cause you watch movies or play games you know what its like until you go through training camp to be a marine or ranger or hell get to be chose as a delta operative shut the fuck up just enjoy the video and remember the soldiers for what they did not what position in the army they are

  • Hoot is one of the craziest mother fuckers in the world man, hes still operating with delta.....My hero!

  • @macky111222 amen brother.

  • u left out the best part , when Hoot hops on the 50 cal after a ranger gets killed and starts droppin skinnys ....fuckin badass

  • "Hey man, theres a line"

    "I know"

"Well, this isn't the back of it.."

    "Yea, I know.."

  • I notice this every time I watch the movie but in the beginning when he gets on the Black Hawk, he racks the bolt to his CAR-15 and afterward when he says "Hey, who's hungry?" he racks the bolt again.

  • @USMCbulletproof probably cleared it and checked it first, changed the clip, and racked it again; but hey who knows.

  • @USMCbulletproof It's probably all one shot, so he's only doing it once, but because it snaps to the boar and it seems more badass to rack it, it seems like he did it twice.

  • 0.00 sec if a Black Hawk chopper comes to pick me up like that I would be like DAMN!! (wait a sec let me get the camera)lol.

  • at 5.10 minute. Knock knock who's there?? Booom haha nice!!

  • Does anyone out there know the title of the first song that starts playing at the start?

  • Man I want to see the damn Director's Cut... every people have like deleted scenes from the Director's Cut and I'm fucking dying to see it.

  • @macky111222 Agreed

  • every character from black hawk down had military training

  • All he had to do to know that was watch the extras on the DVD lol

  • @nioki05

I disagree with you statement. If you have any military training you will see that they are just acting.......period. I do love the movie thought. Hooah Soldier

  • You gotta love Eric Bana. He actually had US military training just for this role in the movie. He had weapons training as well as house sweeping techniques. He took all that and combined it with a quick wit, words of wisdom and great acting skill to create the character known as Hoot Gibson. One of the best actors out there today.

  • DELTA FORCE isnt even recognized by the U.S army they are so classified and top secret that the army cant confirm or denie that the DELTA Force even exsist where they are now

  • @nioki05 SFOD-d and DEVGRU are our TIER 1 Special operations units. They are both Recognized by USSOCOM.

  • "Should have or could have, it don't matter. You'll get plenty of time to think about all that later. Believe me."

  • I hope to become Delta one day. That is my goal i leave in august for basic. HOOAH

  • hooah is ranger speak, rangers and delta hate each other

  • yeah but most delta come from rangers

  • @ThaAsianSensation28 Nah you joint Delta and train till your ready!

  • no they don't...the rangers are jealous and don't 'hate' them...delta is probably the most elite SF the USA has

  • @19DELTAHOOAH1 u shouldnt get in the army hoping to become delta b4 u even finish BCT. Trust me, I used to be ambitious, but its better this way.

  • you know sas were there that day and it was more lke five choppers got shot down

  • only 2 were downed in the hostile zone tho

  • my fav character from the movie - delta force, bloody rough but smart ass bastards...

  • same

  • Hoot--hooah!

  • This is my safety Sir

  • Hoot is the best!!

  • I read Mark Bowdens book Black Hawk Down. According to Bowden, Capt Steele did confront Hoot in the mess hall about his weapon being hot & Hoot actually did say that to the captain. Nice to diss the captain & get away with it.

  • goddammit, its silly arguing who´s the best

alright whats the song beginning in 0:22 and ending a bit later, hoot shooting those wild boars?

  • @MRagnos its from the soundtrack... its called barra barra

  • rachid taha-barra barra

  • Australian SASR the most elite special forces in the world(arguably). Requested by the US goverment to go in side by side with the US special forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were in there long before any bombs were dropped or news reels fed.

  • 8 months before is not a LONG time. Sorry but SASR isn't the most elite. I'd have to say it's a tie with SAS and Green Beret, and Israeli Commandos. Unless you wanna count CIA's SAD then they are the most elite.

  • You seem to forget Delta Force

  • Yessir, some locked on mother fuckers. I served with them..They showedmehowto make a dart out of a piece of fucking paper.. sure nuff it stuck in my arm

  • SEAL has trained with SF, Marines, SBS, SAS.

Marines have trained with SF, Rangers, BRM.

Rangers have trained with SF, BRM, Marines.

SF trained with SBS, SAS, Rangers (he actually was a Ranger too), and Marines.

BRM trained with Rangers, Marines, SEALs.

REMEMBER: this is how much training they got, NOT how one is better than the other because there is no such thing as "better" since they all do their part. THAT is why this question is pretty pointless.

  • You are a wise man.

  • The reason that the Americans would usually end up being better is because of the technology. Technology means they can train better in more focused areas, creating less time on unnecessary parts and more time on necessary. So they can train smarter, and still harder.

The Brits have a lot of history on their belt, so there's no complaining about that part. They are still highly elite.

    Many of these train together:

  • First of all, it is not "vs" it is "with" since these are all allies as they fight for countries that are very close allies.

After talking with SEALs, Marines, Rangers, "Green Berets" (Army SF), British Royal Marines, and a British fighter pilot whom I all am honored to know. . they basically boil it down to (from highest to lowest in training):

    -Delta/SAS

    -DEVGRU

    -SEALs/SBS

    -"Green Berets" (Army SF)

    -BRM

    -Rangers

  • lmao wow really? Green berets have far better training then Delta. And you forgot MARSOC(US Marine Recon.) which gets the same training as SEALs. please don't post things you know nothing about.

  • @vegasche1023 hey buddie... delta guys are picked out off green berets or rangers, you need 4 years experience to be selected for delta and most of the guys get there experience in the green berets, US special forces ARE the green berets

  • @vegasche1023 thats funny because delta is tier 1 over green berets. they train and operate with devgru. who are you to even bash any special operation forces.

  • you're an idiot

  • then anything the usa have got

  • uk's royal marines and the S.A.S r better way better a different class

  • dont forget the SBS there just as great!

  • The Royal Marines are better than anything the USA has? LOL. Are you serious? Dear Lord. Sorry, the US has many simple schools that are longer duration than the entire RM commando course.

  • A correction, vampirekiller9283, the Royal Marines have the longest and hardest training of any conventional force in the entire world. RM aren't special forces, so you can't compare them with special forces.

You also have to consider that despite this, training duration is irrelevant in terms of who's better. There IS NO better force. There are only men who train to keep their countrymen and women safe. Some push themselves to the limit more than others.

  • 1:12 - 1:27

that would never happen, delta has sop's on their kits too. Actually delta seemed like a bunch of undisciplined shits anyway, even if they were good

  • they still are good!

  • in reality, i thinl hoot's name is john mace.

  • No, its Norm Hooten, Your thinking of john macejunas, the guy who went back in as a undercover journalist.

  • yeah i think he's based on a lot of characters tho. just like most fo the characters in this movie. they were condensed for time.

  • does anyone know hoots real name?

  • Blond Norm Hooten. That is what it says in the Book.

  • it's sfc norman hooten i believe based on the book

  • i wonder what ever happened to Hoot after this

  • Probably laying waste in the 'Stan or teaching young Delta-boys how to lay waste!

  • he stayed in delta and took part in in afghanistan....i think he retired not long after though

  • Nice video! But you didnt take the part when he owned in the machine gun, on the top of the hummer :>

  • that was what made me love hoot that scene was just like wow how badass

  • yeah!

  • fuck right

  • hoot was my fav too

  • He was my favorite character in that movie.

  • Man, these Delta guys are kick-ass!

  • Thank God for US Special Forces and the Soldiers of the big army!!

  • You sound Chinese calling it "The big army", I can just hear you saying that in a Chinese accent. But yes, thank god for the U.S. soldiers.

  • If you are familiar with Army Special Forces in the United States, you would understand the terminolgy behind the term "big army" compared to a Special Forces Detachment

  • Thanks for making and posting this!

  • my fuckin hero! lol

  • please check out the comments on the jamglue page SpecOpsAfficionado (for Marshall Brown)

  • i did further checking on film's dialogue/screenplay - wikipedia:

"Despite KEN NOLAN being credited as screenwriter, others contributed uncredited... MGEN GARRISON wrote most of his dialogue; ERIC ROTH wrote Josh Hartnett and Eric Bana's concluding speeches; STEVEN ZAILLIAN re-wrote much dialogue; STEPHEN GAGHAN contributed to screenplay... [MARK BOWDEN] wrote early screenplay drafts ... conversation between pilot Mike Durant and militiaman Firimbi from Bowden script draft."

"dude. i'm interested in leadership & training aspects of special ops. you're just youtube pest who had to be dealt with. "what claims"? most recent, you claimed you were written up in new york times - sept 22, 1993. nothing comes up in archive search. that's your pattern, but you count on people not checking. i do, and you won't stand for it.

  • whatever

  • Yep i am responding to your post, it was the only reason i actually got brought over here as i made it plainly stated in a previous post YOU brought me here like u tried it today on BLACK HAWK DOWN ENDING thats just plain weird, me im only responding to an old lunatic's posts i never said whether it was or wasnt hollywood, I know he wasnt much of a talker if you mean Norm.

  • yet here you are. not for vid. for me. don't you think that's weird? but it's not about vids for you. you sit on same ones to perform bhd vet schtick - or thug those who call you on it ;)

but me, i've thought dialogue on this vid was hollywood from get go. yesterday i found & posted the 5 screenwriters on film, incl whose dialogue some of them wrote. mark bowden (wrote book film is based on) was fired early as screenwriter. so dialogue went hollywood, like i said.

    YOU only talk about ME

  • LOL a compliment from the master :) but my advice is sound. consider it, eh?

  • That is your problem and why u meet resistance from people, if i wanted advice or a shrink i would pay to see a headbob LOL

  • And still he prattles on,

  • steve, you keep saying you're 'done with me' (3-4 times today lol) but keep coming back. when you're not bothering, i watch videos, comment or add to playlists. you haven't mentioned this vid for days, so why not go away and STAY away. sheesh. you've just met your match for stubborn, that's all. i have your number; you claim to have mine ;) don't worry so much about what others think. this is youtube. people can pretend to be anything they want. even you :)

  • Look at your own posts you hypocrite, its like your living in some fantasy world, you dont know my whole story why would anyone believe you? and as for this profile image violation i havent the foggiest what your refering to go find something better to do you have no proof that it doesnt check out nor have u proven it to this imaginary crowd move on

  • bottom of this: you & your story don't check out, steve. you know i know that, so thug me with blather & disinformation. (100th time: let it go. nobody cares!)

but you have no scruples: reporting "profile image violation" on my channel. twice. and you're petty: putting all those ' thumbs down' on my comments..

    you're one messed up dude.

  • According to who you? and everybody should trust either of our words because???? it aint your channel these are videos posted by different people and you put them on your list so their ''yours'' im not going any further with you. go find others to annoy will you, theres no way in hell a 57 year old man would stalk the same person like this, you do provide some good entertainment during my coffee breaks though i thank you for that im out for good............ end of

  • cuz this (same) shit is starting to stink again... some more deodorizer:

LOL. just noticed steve doesn't have "Report profile image abuse" button on his channel (that i can see). that's curious, especially since he has abused mine ;) he is poser & blatherer and obsessively thugs anyone who calls him on it. nothing he says about his service in somalia (or much else) checks out. as he demonstrated here for days.

  • dude, where do you think you are? WHO do you think you are? if you can't take people talking to you - or ABOUT you - youtube isn't for you. or behave better and people will say nicer things about you.

  • So keep rambling you duracell bunny are u doing the world a service here? lmao noone gives a shit what u think, and from here on out talk to yourself

  • yeah, you've said that before.

  • You cant help but put my name in your posts even when im not around and damn right i talk about my service just to decent people, i get messages everyday, from ex servicemen friends on here etc and u can say what u want is bogus, 57 really? grow up maybe stop living in daddies shadow, did u not make the army or summit? is that why ur so obsessed even though u havent served a day in your life? im not even talking to you anymore, youve posted on another vid for a show now u freak

  • ya know, "shell", i've never seen that before: someone demand others remove comments from 3rd party video - and claim to speak for everybody who watches 3rd party video (not you apparently; you're reading comments ;) and how kind of you to suggest steve remove evidence

  • LOL. just noticed steve doesn't have "Report profile image abuse" button on his channel (that i can see). that's curious, especially since he has abused mine ;) he is poser & blatherer and obsessively thugs anyone who calls him on it. nothing he says about his service in somalia (or much else) checks out. as he demonstrated here for days.

  • to repeat: egad. no wonder dialogue is such a mess. wikipedia:

"Despite KEN NOLAN being credited as screenwriter, others contributed to it uncredited... hollywood

  • lol. i "just started" vid comments? stev, a few days ago, you claimed my vid comments were "aimed at you" ... and when guy responded to my comment that some scenes weren't "realistic", you chimed in i was old armchair or something... and when michelle responded to another of my vid comments, you chimed in to defend hoot.

do your 'many yt friends" know your nyt article is bogus? so don't let it go, stev. put up a tent. i make playlists; you thug folks who don't buy your bs. knock yourself out.

  • Noone talks to you, wonder why? its simple you old fool keep your mouth shut about me, and u wont get a response, even a monkey could figure that and claims i cant backup? iv no need to back them up its that simple iv plenty of friends on here who know the truth etc and those who matter, you are about as relevant as something i wiped from my shoe, you've had it in for me ever since i told you to do one when you wouldnt stop spamming my inbox

  • egad. no wonder dialogue is such a mess. wikipedia:

  • does anyone know who wrote screenplay for this film? they guy who wrote book film is based on did great doc, 'true story of blackhawk down', on history channel with lots of interviews of real guys. nothing like (hollywood) dialogue in this film. the true story is compelling enough. didn't need to be embellished with fictional characters and 'letters'.

  • ok, stev

  • if it's mutual, no problem.
