...and the soundtrack fits perfect !

  • what microphone equipment was used?

  • anyone now what is the soundtrack ??

  • the only thing i hate about nikon is that from what I know they cant shoot 60fps in video mode.

  • 3:53 is THE shot.

  • @LeDrummerDu88 3:44 is more like it.

  • so when taking video with a full frame sensor, do you get a wider frame compared to an aps-c sensor like in the d90 or d7000?

  • Ese voto negativo debe ser de un canonista.

  • Absolument magnifique.

  • I would like to know what lenses were used in the making of this video.

  • @mtmcloone

See video description for further details.

  • Beautiful work here... inspiring!!

  • wonderful work done.....hats off to vincent......

  • Wow this is amazing I had to subscribe. I hope one day I own that camera. I loved the seagull closeups. Amazing footage.

  • absolutely fantastic

  • Simplemente perfecto

  • why were the birds attacking you?

  • @mrmeadowsiscool

Maneuvers like that are quite common among gulls. They often circle above something that has found their interest. Now that specific scene has been taking at a cliff in Lafoten/Norway where a lot of birds are nesting. Gulls, of course, take any chance to steal an egg etc. Shot through the tele lens it looks as if they were a lot closer than they have actually been. To recreate it just point your lens at some circling gulls, lock focus and wait.

  • Wonderful video of the wildness!

  • Hey, im kinda new to dslr photography, i've been borrowing my brothers canon kiss 4x (550d) but I'm looking at getting a Nikon, i just love em, at the moment im looking at either d7000, d700 or d300s, not sure, it may be a lil while b4 i get one, and apparently i heard the d700 and d300 successors are upcoming early this year, just wondering what are your thoughts, and whether i should wait?

  • absolutely fantastic !

  • SSSHHHOOOWWWW!!!!! PARABENS!!!!

  • for wildlife photography such as bird's etc, wich camera would be better the nikon D3x or D3s because when using the d3x you can crop in the image really close and not loose quality though you dont have the high iso and 9 fps of the d3s??

    not considering price.

i have been asking myself that and really don't know which camera would be best for this...

  • @BRjp007 I would recommend D3s AND a DX format camera.

D3s has virtually no penalty in using higher ISO. Which you would appreciate because you can stop down a bit your lenses and still take pictures with a very high shutter speed.

DX format cameras are a bit less good at high ISO, but they are like a "free" 1,5x teleconverter which doesn't rob light and doesn't degrade picture quality.

  • @BRjp007

The D3s, without a question. You need high shutterspeeds for birdshooting, which means you will need high-ISO capabilities, which the D3X has not.

If you´re in the studio, shooting stationary objects, then you can consider the D3x.

In that aspect, there is no better dslr than the D3s.

  • @BRjp007 D3s At maximum quality the D3X is very slow... and ISO performance is ok to 800 but after that the D3s leaves it in the dust..D3x is studio and Landscape camera.. and the increase in resolution is non linear.. so its really only 40% higher.. also you wont get to use those extra pixels effectively in the field, buy a D3s and put the price difference towards a 600mm glass.. ;-)

  • @BRjp007 also keep in mind that the D3X has no video or sensor cleaner!!

  • Wow wow wow and...WOW! Fantastic video!Speechless.

  • What song is in the first part of the movie?

  • Fantastic Job. I was shocked at what can be done.

  • Looks like Paradise!

  • It's all about the lenses... but the price ...

  • What is the lens you are using? beautiful video.

  • @jetstobassard

  • Nikon

  • Beatiful artwork! Takes a lot of talent to do things like that. I love the pictures of puffins...

  • you're having an eye for good framing my friend! Awesome!!!

  • I'll save my money for a better movie function. But in terms of picture quality the D3s is fantastic!

Graet photography in this video :)

  • breath \taking !! ill be getting the d3s when i have the money
