  • Love ricky's posture :D

  • sinefeld, fraser, shite

faulty towers, only fools and horses legend!!!

  • I love the way Ricky keeps looking up her skirt in this scene. And she's all shy and spooked. LOL Top notch comedy

  • You've charmed me!

  • Love how the only difference is Gareth occasionally drinks cider.

  • ''Exploring yourself''. Brent makes my skin crawl here!

  • Haha "different drinks for different needs"

  • Leave the comments about UK and US, this line just cracks me up every time I hear it.

  • I THINK THERES BEEN A RAPE UP THERE! Get their attention, always get their attention.

  • Can't we just appreciate both versions? There both great in their own way, i'm British and i love them both...

  • @jimboclick this is sad. Why do Brits always feel the need to vocalize their superiority. Americans clearly don't give a toss what you say because you never see a post about American versions of anything being better.

I prefer the english version but the American one is good too.

  • I'm British and I don't feel the need to vocalize my superiority. The irony is that YOU are the one stereotyping and being a snob.

  • @timmy317317 I've seen loads of posts by Americans slagging off the UK version. Either way, it's a bit pathetic.

  • oh for fuck sake can you lot just shut up arguing, they are both amazing, the office us is better because its gone on for longer and had more character development. both are top class and if any is better its actually the US version and im fucking english!!! so fucking fuck off all of you

  • @postmasterw00t what a brilliant bit of peacemaking...

also just cause a show goes on longer doesn't mean its better, ie Simpsons used to be brilliant but nowadays its lacking

  • @DiamondDanny

yes but your missing the point, simpsons got shit, whereas the office us has maintained a high level of quality throughout the entire run. fuck it they are both equal then, im just sick of people alting the us version because they are biggots and ignorant, sure americans are dumb and stupid and its not english, but it doesnt mean everything they do is shit.

  • @postmasterw00t Theres no way in hell that because the american one has made more episodes it makes it equal to the british one, the british one actually makes me laugh and is done cleverly and originally.

  • @JimmyTheKiller

the british one is awesome, but the american one makes me laugh aswell, both are great both have laugh out loud moments, i think people need to learn to enjoy both and stop complaining

  • The British version will always be my favourite, partly because I'm English and feel proud to see how such a small budget pilot full of nobodies from the U.K could so well, partly because it was the original and partly because I prefer the subtle humour. However, I don't like seeing everyone slag off the U.S version, just because they prefer the U.K one, I guarantee many haven't even seen one full episode of the U.S Office, try an episode from season five maybe, it's actually a decent show :)

  • so, different drinks for different... needs....

  • The British office is miles better than the US one, I can't even wath the US one its that bad.......The ORIGINAL Office is a modern classic

  • haha the way he says "needs" with his legs spread haha so awkward.

  • I love how Brent ends everything he says with "so...", as if trying to give an air of legitimacy to whatever awful, nonsensical crap escapes his mouth. Little touches like that make this one of the funniest shows ever created.

  • @MyNutsAreCold I love when he sings his song about the spaceman coming down and telling people that they are "color blind." Then he feels the need to point out the obvious, "racial... so...."

  • so.... different drinks for..different...needs..so

  • UK Office<<US Office<<Two and a Half Men (because they have canned laughter to let me know when their fart jokes are funny)

  • @wheresbrody Two and a Half Men is not even close to either Office. What a stupid comment, you must be a 70 year old women if you think that show is funny.

  • @xWookiee i guess sarcasm is dead lol

  • @wheresbrody :)

  • IMO the original U.S version is so much better.

  • @ljohns84

Yeah, and "Sherlock" was inspired by "House", you know. HAHAHAHAHA stupid ignorant!

If you don't know how to use the net to search facts, you just have to see Gervais' snap at Carrell at the Globes. You can prefer the US version but just don't call ir "the original", it's not.

  • @Fenster922 Gervais writes most of the material on the US version anyway, both the American and UK versions are essentially his.

  • @xWookiee No he doesn't. Merchant and Gervais have very little involvement. Although I agree with him when he says that the show is brilliant. Can't stand the Brits or Americans that write the other ones off. So stupid saying one or the other is crap, both superb British 100% American 99.99999%!!

  • @iloveneytiri Yea I was wrong about the writing, but Gervias is 100% a producer for the show. But yes, both versions are great, but I do feel that the UK is better and I am American.

  • @xWookiee I think that the British version is of a higher standard but the US version is consistently brilliant which is impressive for 100+ episodes. Yeah Merchant and Gervais produce and Merchant has directed a few episodes, apparently they get around £150,000 every episode!! Both amazing but yeah the British version is on a different level to almost everything.

  • @ljohns84 The US version of the office is not the original, the UK version is.

  • I don't know if you can use The Office as an argument that British comedy is generally great, though. The Office is unique and not really influenced by anything else. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant created something totally original. Praise them.

  • @jimboclick what are you defining as "British Comedy" because Ricky Gervais' "The Office" was unlike any show before it... so it kinda pisses me off when British people try to claim it like they've got some sort of influence on it. What about "My Family" "Coming of Age" "School of Comedy" "Catherine Tate show" "Little Britain" Those are all absolute shite and they're all British, but they're awful so I suppose those automatically belong to America?

  • @YourPalHDee I can't be bothered to argue on youtube I just thought I'd let you know what a silly post that was.

  • @jimboclick american humor crap? gervais and merchant would have something to say about that considering 99% of their influences are by AMERICANS!

  • different drinks.. for different........ needs.

    lmao! xD

  • Me... lager, Finchy... lager, Gareth... lager sometime cider.

  • great stuff but the best part of this scene was omitted - when Brent says goodbye and leans in to kiss her (after having just met her) and she doesn't reciprocate. He then says (to the camera) that she deliberately avoided kissing him to be professional (as if it was against her natural urge to kiss him). great scene!

  • "what time you gonna cruise down there?"

lol...trying too hard to sound young and on her level.

  • No, its just not made for them. The language and frames of reference aren't all for an american audience, so while they might enjoy it they don't "get" all of it.

  • lol thats because your a yank and your sense of humour is shit

  • @skewboylucas

    Amen!!!

  • Ricky Gervais=Comic Genius

  • 0.21 errghh

  • Me lager. Finchy... lager. Gareth.. lager, sometimes cider. Different drinks.. for different, needs

  • Different drinks for different... needs.

  • BBC version came well before, and actually, if you go back and watch the original six american episodes that made up the first season, you will see similar scenarios, camera angles, lighting, and even whole lines of dialog that were taken directly from the BBC version. Both versions are funny. I think Ricky Gervais is much better than Steve Carrell when it comes to play a total schmuck too.

  • i like michael scott... but david brent has this inherent wit than scott doesn't have, that, plus his amazing timing

  • that's not dawn, it's the women he interviews and hires. brent gives her a black eye after some textbook football skills

  • dawn? and u call urself an office fan? brent is a legend!

  • i stand corrected... so funny.

  • whoa sorryu i made a mistake

  • lmaaooo

  • haha.... yeah, the 'original' american series...nice one.

  • The original was British it ran from 2001-2003 the American series started in 2005. Again your tring to provoke an arguement which is just pointless. Grow up.

  • what a freakin idiot..

  • what a freakin idiot..

  • The punchlines were never the content. The sexual innuendos and smut, as you refer to, are only ever used to bring out Brent's pathetic attempts to be a comedy man. The humour itself was always in the character, not in what they said.

  • American Idiot

  • Me, lager, Finchy lager, Gareth lager somtimes cider so...different drinks for different...needs.

What the HELL is Brent talking about lol XD
