  • you wanna know of a great source of protein? Veal.

  • there is no protein in white rice?

  • can you complete a incomplete protein with a complete protein or do you have to use incomplete protein ...?

  • can i still eat pussy?

  • im friken 13 and i know that what she's saying is bull shit (me vegi person)

  • I'm sorry but I wonder if this woman is borderline crazy. I watched her other videos and she sounds very irate!

  • you can never have enough protien... just ask Arnold

  • Next video: How to remove your incisors since you are now a Vegan.

  • You cant od on protien....

  • quorn products ane neither soy or glutten, they are made from a fungus. texture is like real meat and taste great also.

  • Veg.Iron.......

  • Unsalted nuts and seeds are the best

  • she dosent know shit!

  • Hmm that would make you a cannibal. A very selfish incosideret ....maybe even retarded cannibal

  • lmao.........hahah, protein isn't that important???u can overdose on protein LMAO...i've been a vegetarian for over a year........trial and error people....not the best info.....

  • She doesn't know anything. Brown rice+bush's baked beans is the best?? ANd then she also recomends a bunch of meat subs?? SHe is suggesting that its hard to get enough protein in a vegetarian diet, and that you have to work at it.

Most plants have protein in them. Grains, nuts and beans, obviously, but also carrots and potatoes and broccoli and spinach and most everything else. Honestly, its pretty hard to become deficient in protein unless you are eating just poptarts and oreos.

  • agreed

  • Lol thats true. But poptarts are so nummy

But so high in calories ...... XD

  • @photosynthesiz3 a lot of plants have proteins in them but by themselves are incomplete proteins because they are missing the essential amino acids, you have to combines various things to get a complete protein. protein in meat is already complete and much easier for the body to use.

  • wow i can look forward to a life of canned poo, this hasn't made me feel good about going veggie

  • You should check out some indian dishes. Many of them are vegetarian and they're delicious.

  • She's talking mainly rubbish, she obviously doesn't know her nutrition that well. AND if you notice, ALL of her recomendations are of highly processed crap.

  • @MixingLaboratory

I noticed that too.. So you are vegetarian but then fill up on chemicals. But to each their own.. I am a newbie vegetarian and its confusing.

  • Oh I love Morningstar vegeterian chicken patties, asian veg patties and burgers. For those who keep kosher they are kosher too.

  • This helps a lot...I 'm Vegetarian.

  • IM alerigc to soybeans

  • No offense, but this woman seems unable to concentrate, and many vegetarians appear to have trouble holding focus or maintaining detailed train of thought. Lowering your intake of protein can affect brain function. Is vegetarianism mentally healthy?

  • Yes. I know many Vegetarians who are smarter, more focused, and metally advanced than meat-eaters. I am a Vegetarian myself. I am a lot more able than a lot of people in my School.

  • Unfortunately the science shows that strict vegetarians are depriving their brain chemistry in critical ways. Too much red meat is bad. No meat at all is bad. Moderation in all things.

  • "depriving their brain chemistry in critical ways" I was just about to ask for your source, but then I realized that you didn't even tell us what nutrient vital to the brain you think we are deprived of. So tell me, what am I deficient in that is harming mine and 1% of America's brains?

"Moderation in all things" If too much red meat can harm you, then any red meat can harm you. If too much smoking can harm, then any smoking harms and you should stop smoking.

  • Also... your comments on moderation are silly. If something in excess kills you, then ANY amount kills you? I suppose you feel that way about Asprin and red wine, too? How about bananas? If you eat 30 of them in 24 hours it'll stop your heart from potassium overdose. Does that mean we should become anti-banana?

There is value in meat. Red or poultry, or fish. If you think you can substitute all the beneficial stuff in meat with other foods, good for you. That doesn't make meat the enemy.

  • MorningStar is pretty good, but my favorite meat substitute is Veggiepatch's garlic portabella burgers...yum!

  • bacon? sausage?

    i thought this is vegetarian

  • Morning Star is organic and doesn't contain meat, but tastes just like it :)

  • its TVP basically soy protein made into a fake meat form. personally i am vegan and the fake meat i see to be pointless. if you are going to be Veg, why would you want fake meat? its dumb i think.

  • I totally agree.

I used "Quorn" when I started going vegetarian. Now I think it's kind of disgusting to eat stuff that looks like meat. It only makes you remember how meat tasted and felt like.

I am thinking about going vegan. There's really some delicious meals in vegan cooking. "Veganomicon" is a lovely vegan cookbook by isa c. moskowitz.

  • I think that quorn tastes more like seitan than meat, but maybe that depends on what type of quorn products you used to eat? o_O

  • Lentils have been my lifesaver. I make lots of Indian lentil recipes with rice or whole wheat flat bread, which help make it a complete protein. I don't care much for the fake meats just cuz they make me want to eat real meat.

  • can you recommend some choice recipes, im burned out on beans in general and i eat copious amounts rice. thanks and take care

  • I recommend the book Six Spices: A Simple Concept of Indian Cooking by Neeta Saluja. You can find it on Amazon if you cannot find it in your local bookstore. This book has wonderful recipes!!! I wrote one of the reviews for it on Amazon. You can guess which ones is mine. lol :)

  • splendid, i really appreciate the response, thanks again, cheers

  • you forgot the best form of protein and omegas: Hemp Seed! and eat organic

  • Is Veggie protein really the sama as meet protein?

And you need Creatin also and thats in meet.

    // Peder from sweden

  • They are very similar and is just as good for you. You are fine with veggitarian, but you have to be sure to eat right or you'll have problems

  • Creatine is made by all vertebrates (yes, even humans) and helps supply energy to muscles. If we make it ourselves, we don't need to eat it.

There are 1000s of proteins, but they are made of only 22 amino acids, and of those 10 are "essential" --> your body cannot make them and must get them from food. Any variety of food, meat or plant, gives you all you need. A famous "protein combo" is rice and beans, since grains have high #s of amino acids except lysine, and beans provide lots of lysine.

  • vegetarian bacon...? the hell?
