  • bought all my ingredients..making this tonight :)

  • thanks for your time & the recipe =) might try it!

  • Love this clip! Please what is the total time? I was confused .Thank you!

  • @silkorganza The recipe and times are in the description box, if you still have a question after reading it please ask!

  • awesome recipe! they dont sell buttermilk biscuits in a can here so i'm gonna try bread crumbs instead. i think it would be easier to line the biscuits up and go at them with a pizza cutter though :)

  • @fudgette A pizza cutter would have been a much faster method!

  • Hello!

I subscribed please subscribe back :)

    wonderful recipes

  • Did you say leave it in the oven for 15 or 50 mins? i heard 50 mins but on your description it says 15. Which is it?

  • @Phaythful There is actually two fifteen minute bake times, the second time says "until golden brown" so it could be more

  • I'm making this as I type this comment. Thanks so much for the great recipe! Hugs!

  • Hope you enjoyed it! Quick, easy and goooood!

  • Ooooooh that looked great and so easy! I've made something similar (rolling my own dough), never dawned on me to use the biscuits..lol

  • Hey Martha, missed this comment!

Using biscuits is a really good time saver for sure.

  • Kids will love this, Max loves the buiscuit topping.

  • LOL@the BRP! This looked really good. : )

  • Thanks Alesha.

  • Definitely comfort food. I'll be making this one. lol@BRP

  • Yep! Comfort food for sure, you'll love it.

  • I'm making this today. I'm using raw cubed chicken, I'll just bake it a little longer. I also bought 2 cans of biscuits.

  • I hope it turned out ok!

  • wow...that looks damn tasty! lol

    well, it does!

    mike

  • Thanks Mike

  • I noticed the french label on the Cream of Potato Soup can. :D

  • Creme de pomme the terre! lol

  • Literally, "Apples of the Earth" xD aka Potatoes!

    Silly french!

  • Oh that's looks so good for tonight, a nice hot comfort food dinner!

  • Perfect for winter, thanks Barb

  • Looks Great!!

  • Thanks Corey

  • That looks so yummy. I have a meal for next week.

  • Thanks, it is comfort food for sure.

  • Looks so yummy! I'm making something similar tonight for supper. Blessings, Ang

  • ((hugs)) to grams and papi!

  • That looks really good! :)

  • Thanks, it turned out well.

  • However, they also say that this is four servings. Are they kidding? That's way more than four servings. So really we wouldn't be eating that much of it, so only half of the sodium. HMMMMMM ;)

  • Here is your nutritional info:

    Using Cream of Broccoli Soup : Calories 480, Total Fat 18g, Saturated Fat 5g, Cholesterol 72mg, Sodium 1564mg, Total Carbohydrate 49g, Dietary Fiber 5g, Protein 30g, Vitamin A 72%DV, Vitamin C 13%DV, Calcium 11%DV, Iron 17%DV

Yep, LOTS of sodium. I want to try this, but I don't know that my heart will allow me. Maybe if I double my BP pills ;)

  • If you use the healthy request soups, it cuts back on the sodium some..Thanks, Ang

  • I went to look--it cuts it back just barely. But that is what I would definitely do because even if it is just a little--at least it's something, right?

  • LOL @ the BRP!!! HAHAHAHA Tip, my padawan: Make it quicker. Real fast. Like a flash ;)

Good job with the subtitles re: salt. I get that ALL the time. I cut and paste the recipes (you can do that too, since this was a Campbell's recipe, it is more than likely available online) and it includes the calories, sodium, etc. So if they were paying attention, they'd see it had more than enough salt in it. It looks fantastic. Gorgeous money shot

  • I never thought of cutting and pasting off of a website, that would save a LOT of typing!

    Yep LOTS of sodium.

  • Looks good Tammy!

  • Hi Jim!

  • Very good recipe......thanks..and happy you were happy with the book....hope Max feels better and you take care of yourself..

    hugs from rhode island..

  • Louise!

Very happy to receive the book, thanks again.

  • Looks waaaaay good! haha. I'm going to try this. Hugs Tammy! I miss you!

  • Hello Melissa! Miss you

  • That looked so yummy! We are in Ocala tonight. Will be in Labelle tomorrow.

    Love you!

  • Love you more.

  • looks yummy Tammy!

  • Thanks!

  • I saw this video earlier when I got home from work and was trying to decide on dinner. So I went to the store and got the stuff for this. It is really really yummy. I took your advice and added 2 packs of the biscuits and it was good. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • Hey! So happy you tried it, it just tickles me pink when people try a recipe I show. :)

  • Ooooh Yummy !! This is so quick and easy Tammy, that I think even I can do it! Puttin' this into my faves. hugs, Chris

  • Thanks Chris! Good meal for a cold day.

  • Oh this recipe looks so yummy!!! Thanks have never heard of santa fe mix of veggies will look out for that. I hate the pop biscuits too they have been on the market for what since the fifties you would think they would have developed a better way than giving you an instant heart attack thanks for that lovely tube

  • I had never seen that mixture of vegetables before, it is a nice mix though.

Damn those pressurized tubes! Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so :)

  • It looks really good too. I love the BRP. Hope everyone is feeling better today.

    Pam

  • I knew my fellow Beth fans would love it!

  • I don't want to sound creepy or anything, but I REALLY like that knife! :)

Yum! (Not the knife, the food!)

  • It is a carving knife (I have the matching sharpener and meat fork) It was the only knife that was clean at the time I was making the recipe, lol.

I think it is supposed to have an elk horn like handle, I think it may be plastic though.

  • nom nom nom

  • :) :)

  • This is a great recipe! And if you are out of biscuits you can use leftover mashed potatoes for the topping and it is yummy too.

  • Hi Shannon!

This video scares me... BISCUITS??? What the flappin' flep is an American biscuit?

I wouldn't like to dunk THAT in my coffee!

  • No coffee dunking with these! lol.

  • Mashed potatoes is a great idea for a topping, thanks!

  • Did you use 2 cups of chicken or 4? I thought I heard 2 verbally but see 4 written or am I just tired from work. Either way looks simple and easy. Do you think if you used the bisquicts whole maybe you could just cook a little longer. I could see the hubs liking them whole. Sorry just thinking out loud really.

  • You heard right Kim. It is 2 cups (I have fixed the written recipe).

You can use the biscuits whole. Just bake until they are done!

  • I love making things with canned soup, but I try to use the lower sodium varieties when I can:-)

Looks yummy, I will have to do a video when I make chicken and dumplings for Thanksgiving. It calls for canned biscuits too.

  • I love chicken and dumplings!

I'll be looking out for the video

  • BRP! LOL! I love that pan, it's so clean!

  • Thanks Justin! I knew people that watch Beth's cooking vids would get it.

  • Biscuit containers scare me....ever since I was a kid. We had biscuits this morning and dad has to open them and one popped like a gun and made me jump. I so think I shall make this with the turkey leftovers after Turkey day here next month.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates those pressurized containers!

  • I like these casseroles too but it's just me and my husband, we have so much left-overs. I bet you guys had a lot of left-overs too huh?

  • There are three of us in our family and we had enough for a late night snack and I took some to work as a lunch. Wasn't too bad.

  • ohh I hate the way those cans pop.

    YUMMY!

  • Glad I'm not the only one who hates the can pop! lol

  • that looked good. I laughed when the biscuit pops cause I always get so nervous when it does it. lol

  • It's like opening a jack in the box toy, you never know when it's going to pop! Makes me jump every time!

  • Hearty cold weather food! Isn't it funny how differently you cook in winter? I find myself craving root vegetables roasted til caramelized. You just don't have urges for the same foods when it's cold. I laughed at the Beth peek at the beginning. Hopefully you're ahead of the germs today.

  • My tastes also change in the winter too Liz. I find it really hard to eat salad every day in the winter, but in the summer I can't get enough.

  • it wow that dish looked good

  • Thanks! It was a family hit.

  • Looks great, Ive made something like this many times before but we put the biscuits on the bottom first then the other stuff on top. Thanks for showing us how you make it Tammy and say hello to Max and your husband for us please. HUGS xoxo

  • Hi Peggy! Nice of you to drop by!

Hugs to you and yours as well~!

  • Oh and if you have clean kitchen scissors those work really well for cutting up the biscuits then you can just do it right over the pan and drop them in while cutting them! :)

  • Lori! Scissors are a great idea, thanks!

  • I make this all the time. I vary the veggies and sometimes I've put pork chops in it instead of chicken. It is yummy and such good "stick to your ribs" winter food. It is also good with cream of chicken soup.

It ALWAYS makes me jump when those darn biscuits do that!

    Loved the trademarked SSG peek!

    Hugs!

  • Yummity yum yum yum!!!!

    Thx sugar!

  • Glad you liked it Jo Jo

  • looks very good!

  • Thanks Dee!

  • Looks yummy. I bookmarked this :)

  • Thanks Meg! Great way to get rid of leftover chicken.

  • wow that looked so good.

  • Thanks!

  • lol, i hate those cardboard biscuit containers too.. they're like loose cannons sometimes and then other times they take like 5 minutes to open.

Mmmm@the biscuits on top-- looks very good!

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like those explosive containers!

  • orion calls this buried chicken :)

    xoexo

  • Eden! Nice to see you here. :)

  • I think I would a cheese on top befor the biscuits what do you think?

    this looked good thou

  • Cheese would make it PERFECT!

    Thanks for the idea.

    (cheese makes everything better,lol)

  • Just woke up and I am starvin !!! I could eat this for breakfast Tammy..

  • Dolores! This actually wouldn't be bad for breakfast. :)
