@Tonewheeldude. yes i have tryed the xk1 & 3, i would like to buy one but, there is just a raw grit or dirty edge to the old b3 sound envelope that i've not heard with hammond digital. engineers have tweeked the old b3 & can get harmonicks that make the hair at the back of my neck stand up. the diffrence of whisky & beer. just my oppinion i don't expect anyone else will agree.
@Tonewheeldude. yes the hammond xk3 is a good compromise for giging. i have a elka X50 analog tonewheel 30 years old & a leslie 822, realy good big sound but, not portable. a mechanical tonewheel & a 3D leslie is just too good a sound & hard to follow digitally but, CD recordings of old B3's are very good, now theres a thought!
@Tonewheeldude yo take a look at the Nord C2... i play a hammond at shows all the time, but when the place don't got one, i play my nord C2, best mother fuckin thing every made by man, besides the b3... its also good if you just can't get a B3, the C1's ok too if the c2s makin your wallet a lill to light, its got some pretty cool stufff man, the ive played all the XK's and personaly, the onlything i thought that was even close to the a b3 about it was the dam drawbars, but who needs that shit...
@Tonewheeldude yea i know, but you get used to it, its like if someone learn to kick bass and whale on a C2, they would find the drawbar system a little hard to get used to, but with a lill practice man, ya get it quick... the only thing you can't do (sadly) is patch yourself through to the tone wheels, like Jon Lord does... but you can't do that with any of the digital stuff but yea man C2 all the fuckin way!! and yea i wish it had them too ;)

@nickster2000 probably the Leslie 3300, its got adjustable tube stuff on it man.. u can even change the tube out if you don't like the one inside it...
wen hammond came out with their new digital organ i wasn't impressed as much as i was with the roland however the new hammonds are amazing.i like the nord too
just wanted to add i liked the roland but after i wrote the original post i went and tried the xk3c in person and right then i knew i had to have that organ i was amazed.
well i owned the vk8 and i went and tried the Xk3c then afterward i sold the vk8 cheap and bought the xk3 the xk3 can be tweaked to sound the way you want it to sound thats what i love the only thing the roland has got going for it is a nice keybed but even then the xk3c is more like the real thing
the roland does sound good it has a warm sound but its not the sound i was looking for but for me this xk3c is light years ahead of the roland. and midi is awesome on the xk3c im sold on hammond.
Hi There!Thats either a 122XB,or a 3300W(The one in Red Wood)Perhaps a 3300 if you plan to travel.These Leslies are the Ones that are Best Suited for the XK33C.Thats Here in Europe.
i will have to apply to hammond for a job & get that tonewheel sound right, digital organs sound good but, could be better

@rikshaw223 Well the B3(all Tonewheel Organs)are mechanical
living Instruments,and they are all different.You must also have a good Leslie
to get a Good sound.The XK3C is a wery good compromise if you want to have
a B3 sounding Drawbar Keybord,that is light and easy to take to gigs.
