What I love about Hausa music is its cultural standpoint. The artists are usually cheerful, dress well and present their songs in the way that that is highly entertaining to thier audience. Dude, Nobody is forcing you to watch it. And regarding the Hausa being illiterate(Unable to read and write), you have it wrong mate. The Hausa have been literate even pre-colonialism. The Ajami (Look it up)enabled them to write poetry , and keep records.Moreover, the modern day Hausa as we know it (i.e Hausa with Latin Alphabets) came post-colonialism.
