If you listen to what he said ...its not that you can buy pot from your neighbor...but from International cartels. That are into unimaginable violence, and intimidation and social catastrophy all across the world. The Government make Canadian's buy from them on purpose. To keep it from getting dirty. Even illegal cigarettes to avoid paying tax the evil networks your supporting are bad. Unlike your dirty networks to steal 95% tax. Wow Harper your a Saint. Do you think, are you tired, HIGH?
You know what, Mr. Harper makes some very valid and sincere points about the topic. His main flaw was that he grouped cannabis with other drugs that do far more damage to people physically socially and financially. He is a parent and hes trying to protect his kids, and i respect that.
how stupid you have to be to believe in legalizing weed, taxes on weed WTF are you insane the price of weed will triple let me tell you that when it's going to be legal
@MomSaysImCool He is a question dodger. Al he spoke of was kids, not adults. He is a professional question dodger, and the people of Canada are professional SHEEP!!!!
@HeyIamCraig It doesn't matter who you vote for, they are all working to continue with the same ridiculous failed and flawed system that we are coerced into following today. GET RID OF THEM ALL!> It's not a democracy!
btw what hes saying doesnt make sense, when people buy from "cartels" and dangerous gangs, its cause its not available to them any where else. And they are violent in the first place because pot is illegal and they must fight over it. If weed was available at a gas station they would no longer be violent. Dont believe me? then tell me why these gangs and organizations aren't fighting over cigarretes or alcohol.
I look forward to the day we throw most 'politicians' in jail for treason against the people. Harpey, I speak for me when I say you and your ashkeNazi and other corrupt friends can hang.
The question was not about 'drugs' in general. It was specific to the chronic. There would be no stickybuds drug trade in Canada if marijuana was legal because you can grow it yourself in your garden and home. Canadians do buy from there neighbours who grow it themselves, not drug cartels. We all know you keep it criminally illegal to put people in prison because that's where the profit is to be made. He didn't address the question at all!
@brokenbones199 you speak for the voting majority of our country, 66% of which did not vote conservative. how sad and scary is it that our voting system gave him 54% of the house, which is basically 100% of the power and with nothing more than 34% of the vote. i second you comment :D
"Drugs are bad"2:49 What about alcohol? It has the same nature of dependency and does far more damage. Yet he believes it's respectable business run by respectable people?Contradictions are bad mkay
im really pissed at how that question was worded. it opened up the opertunity for stephen harper to focus on the drug trade as a hole insted of just specifically the marijuana trade first off the marijuana trade in Canada does not cause devastation in third world countries. pot grown in a basement in bc does not have the same effect on society that heroin grown in Afghanistan does and to lump them together is misleading.
The North American drug crisis is directly correlated to hard headed conservative hardliner thinking that managed the prohibition in the 1920's in the U.S. The facts are historical and cannot be evaded with slick rehearsed polished political rhetoric. Alcohol was an illicit drug. So when referencing crime lets reflect on history yet again. Al Capone and the "Mafia" were created by government regulatory mandates that did not reflect the true wants and needs of the population. Why waste money?
I don't think Harper has seen any statistics at all, the man who killed the Canadian census.
This video really makes it clear to me that he just doesn't get it. He's basically claimed here that our laws are infallible, that the public cannot be trusted to act in respectable manner, and that drugs themselves are responsible for ravaging certain countries.
Countries with high drug export are in chaos because countries like ours give them a market to perform in. Get your head on straight Harper.
@777saroja These illegal drugs have been made so for good reason...deniers of the harm of illicit and illegal drug user are losers in at least one aspect of their lives and that is in being mentally reduced stoners. Obviously, there are prescription medication prescribed by doctors for serious medical conditions; where, in some cases, the patient would die otherwise from their illness. To try to confuse the two is amoral, disengenuine, and wrong.
@ementormike " losers in at least one aspect of their lives and that is in being mentally reduced stoners." Yes, anybody who smokes pot must be a stoner. You sound like a ignorant, bigoted fool. Also, your 'prescription medication' example is also B.S. Many medications are NOT given to patients to prevent death. Many prescription drugs, like Valium, are prescribed to combat stress. What's the difference between a joint and Valium? And don't play the 'it legal, therefore it OK' card either.
Interesting to see all the dislikes for this video. Apparently, this video has been frequented by supporters of marijuana and perhaps other drug use. I have heard of and witnessed the harms and the ugly and destructive and threatening atmosphere that is created by people with addictions that; in some cases, are prepare to threaten the lives even of those who don't want the second hand smoke. Harper is right to stand up against the harmful effects of all kinds of drug use on users and bystanders.
@ementormike What a very high horse you sit upon my friend. If you knew anything about marijuana, you would know that it has absolutely no harmful effects whatsoever, and its beneficial effects have long been known. Harper is aware this, just as I am sure he knows of the polls by Canadians for its legalization. He is not stupid or uninformed, merely deceitful, and manipulative. The pharma companies are who he supports, and their drugs are more harmful. Does he stand up to them?
@ementormike Give me a break. Pot is the least harmful drug out there. Alcohol is much, much worse. Pot is only psychologically addicting; not physically addicting. Anyone who argues that pot should remain illegal, while at the same time drinks alcohol, if only moderately, is a hypocrite. There is nothing wrong with the moderate use of weed, nor with alcohol. Also, if the Harper government truly cared about our heath, they would rip cigarettes off the shelves tomorrow.
if weed was legal it would be produced and sold by the government, making the product have a lower value because its being mass produced. people would become less interested in weed and teens wouldnt find it as "cool" (if you will) because it would be more common and easier to get ahold of, causing people to move on to more harmful and dangerous drugs such as meth or cocaine.
@SirLagAlot109622 Your argument was/is ridiculous. One of the reasons why teens try harder drugs is because they are, more often than not, being sold by the same people selling pot. If kids are educated on the negative effects of 'hard drugs', and not lied to in the process, they will be less likely to try them. Not to mention, you'll find more people using cocaine on wall street, then in the High Schools.
Why is he lumping pot in with all drugs? I agree things like heroin & meth should be illegal but not pot. I don't know why we can't get a national vote on this issue. Elected leaders are supposed to serve the people, he isn't. Alcohol causes more problems and cigarettes are clearly unhealthy but they are allowed.
"when people buy drugs they're not buying from their neighbor, they're buying from international drug cartels"
This shows just how ignorant he is, especially when he goes on to equate it to people buying cigarettes from untaxed sources(read: first nations reserves)
stephen harper is the first canadian dictator. all interviews are staged. he knows the questions before-hand(common practice), and has re-hearsed the answers(common practice).
there are no scrums with HIM on parliament hill. he demands this. he's a good(sic) actor.
guess what you fucking dumbass- your argument over purchasing drugs through "illegal" methods is completely invalid when discussing the topic of legalizing and taxing marijuana . therefore people wouldn't have to buy it in risky situations and help contribute to gang power and wealth . GRRRRRRRRR . /facepalm
Your kids Harper are going to try it im sure everyone has whats the big deal how about prescibed drugs more ee are hooked and die from escrbed drugs then every other drug
War on marijuana must end! Don't let these fools call it war on drugs, that only allows them to ad hard drugs into the debate. Marijuana is not crack, you would think the PM would now this, also all marijuana is local grown. If only someone could put him in a figure four and force answers out of him.
its on a wayyy different level man. the alcohol black market involves glass bottle management, specialized equipment and stuff like that, all it takes for anybody to grow weed is a seed
@19Gui86 Glass bottle management?? Hahah.... believe me there is no "specialized equipment", making moon shine is incredibly easy. You cant legally buy seeds either, but you can legally buy "glass bottles" and every other ingredient involved in making liquor. And you cant grow weed just anywhere outside like any old plant, you need to live in the right climate.. and if you don't, growing indoors is pretty difficult and still requires skill.
The vast majority of people wont go through the risk and hassle of growing illegally, if its available to buy legally. Just like people stopped making there own liquor in the past. And no ones going to take the risk of breaking the law and buying from anyone who grows there own illegally, so what your talking about is very few people, growing there own... just for personal use. (just like liquor).
And yes, I agree that they are "on a way different level". Liqour is waaaaay worse the Weed!!!
@ruthless0213 It's easier to control alcohol, since the process of making it is much more complex (and expensive) than growing weed. Nobody is going to buy 'moon shine' (that tastes like shit) when they can purchase high quality Scotch, Rum, Sherri, Vodka, etc, legally. Pot on the other hand is easy to grow and requires very little equipment, thus it's cheap to produce. The government would have to sell good quality weed, and at a good price, if they ever wished to completely control it.
@pillsareyummy yea exactly, I know..... thats why we go to liquor stores loll There never going to "completely control" it... just like they don't completely control alcohol. But they will have control, no ones gonna sell it illegally outta there backyard, there going to grow there own for personal use. And the government would have good quality weed loll waaay better then poo weed that u got seeds for outta ur baggy. Weed from legal dispensaries in California are amaaaazzzinnnggg
dont start arguing with me that weed is more difficult to grow than it is to make alcohol. You can practicly ask any weed dealer for some seeds and sometimes you might even get them randomly in your weed. and i know people who just randomly grow it outside in their backyardi dont know where you live and maybe its different there, but i have never heard about black market alcohol in my city (population over 1 million, Montreal).
@19Gui86 why the hell would a weed dealer sell you seeds loll cuz thats good for business right.. and if you get seeds in ur bags, ur smokin garbage weed. And im not saying its easier to make alcohol then growing weed, but it is still very easy. But yea anyways, you mentioned that there "would always be a black market anyways". There was a black market for alcohol, it got legalized, and now there's not. Theres a black market for pot now, if it gets legalized, there would be no more black market
@19Gui86 2).... there would still be people growing there own (like there is now), but it would only be for personal use.. because selling (home made pot) would be illegal...so isnt that better then how it is now?? Pot should be legalized and your completely blind if you think otherwise
people would not stop selling it at all, you just told me people wouldnt sell it because it would b illegal...it is illegal now and as far as i know alot of people sell marijuana..
@19Gui86 its sold and bought illegally now because ITS NOT LEGAL ahahah if its legal... no ones going to sell it or buy it illegally. Why would someone risk buying illegally if its sold legally??? Ive never heard of a drug dealer that sells legal shit loll. Anyways, im done... just remember this conversation when weed is legalised
@ruthless0213 why would some one sell marijuana even if its legal? why are people selling drugs even thogh they are illegal? theres ONE REASO NFOR BOTH THESE QUESTIONS: MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! money ma, even if it becomes legal, you can bet alot of people still wanna make money off it.
@19Gui86 loll omg man... never mind. just go away. WHO THE FUKS GONNA BUY IT THO. You can try selling outta ur backyard, but if its legalized everyone will be buyin at dispensaries n shit
everytime you ask me something you always seem to forget something...depending on the price the ''legal'' drugs is gunna be at, som dealers could try to sell it for cheaper..
@19Gui86 Im not forgetting anything. I don't think you understand what where talking about. Think whatever you want dude, you don't make sense. Just remember this convo when weeds legalised, and there's NOT weed being sold irresponsibly on every corner. Weed being legalised IS a good thing. And it WILL be legalised eventually
I cannot wait till we get rid of this old world thinking from the seat power here in Canada....... From the way that he is talking he should just pull his pants over his stomach and sit in a nursing home he would sit right in with their thinking we really need to mobilize he youth of this country man look at what happened in the middle east we could do it here as well but here we need to do it with the power of words and pressure on ALL GOVERNMENTS from municipal to provincial to federal everyw
@selkirk4life For starters Canada is voted by the whole world as being the most respected country on the planet. Second, if you are talking about pension cuts, let me educate you. The current pension system was created when A. Life expectancy was less. B. Baby boomers weren't all about to collect a pension. So the money is going to run out if we don't delay collecting by 2 years. Do you care about anyone but yourself? Because you might get a pension but those behind you are fucked
@juzu4me I was not talking about pensions. What I am talking about the significant difference between Mr. Harper and the majority of Canada's everyday opinions. I am also pointing out that Harper appeals to the type of people that have the same opinions that the majority of Canada held back in the mid-20th century. We are not in the 20th century any more, we are in the 21st century. Where the logic of science is better understood, and access to information is easier.
Also with that is the ability to communicate to anyone anywhere in the world instantaneously. Now the babyboomers are accustomed to the way things were in the 20th century and are very hard (but not impossible) to convince of different ways of thinking. This is why the NDP picked up so many seats this past May the oppressed of the past is now the world of today. Mr Harper is counting on that fact that many of the older generation doesn't question what they are told.
But we the youth of today question everything we are told. As science has taught us to do. I cannot stand for people that think they are so well informed when really they don't have a clue, If you really want to know what the truth is spend a little bit of time on the Internet and read the reports that are posted everywhere, look at what the majority of people say. As for an example how many people have supported Mr. Harper for his comments on this video, Not very many eh?
So take your time to evaluate what is being said then comment with an open mind and heart. BE CANADIAN not a incorrect political party thats feeding the Canadian public false information..........
I am appalled that this man runs my country!!!!! Pot is bad ? We need easier access to guns. use your head Harper no man or woman has died at the hands of a smoking joint .... a smoking gun however....
@wagonlove I cannot agree more but we are fighting an uphill battle doesn't mean we won't win it we will just have to keep strong and don't be swayed by th weak minded at this juzu4me is.... Canada is voted to be ONE of the most respected countries due to our liberty of our freedoms and our tolerance of every opinion and our contuinued support of of everyone that does right....
BUT! If Mr. Harper and the conservatives continues on his disdain for the rights of our citizens and for the UN.. Canada WILL lose our international standing... It already has the Tories finger pointing during the Environmental Summit held this past summer was not well received by the international community.. I see it as us saying that were not going to do anything until the major polluters clean up as seriously wrong...
We have one of the largest northern biospheres that remains almost untouched with our Boreal Forest that we get every chance to boast about. With this we see it as our responsibility to take the first step forward on this.
"drugs are illegal because they are bad" but yet cigarette companies cannot advertise at all because they are harmful to your health but yet they are legal. what a joke!!!
Marijuana is illegal, yet alcohol kills thousands every year, and they sell ciggarettes that give people cancer, which our government pays to treat? hes a fucking idiot
Did Harper just blame the state of third world countries on marijuana? If only people did their research before placing their votes this past election. Maybe then we would be free from The Harper Government of Canada, as Harper likes to refer to it as.
HARPER GET OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT!@!@@!@!@!@@@@!@!!@@!@!@@! I mean what do we have to do to get you to ATLEAST DECRIMINALIZE this PLANT - I mean does anyone know that cannabis can CURE CANCER, replace petroleum, cure/treat almost ANY DISEASE, helps ALL 210 CELL TYPES in your body function MORE EFFECTIVELY, FEED PPL, REPLACE BIG PHARMA!!!!!!!!!! please don't ignore this msg. It is our time Canada, we must set this PLANT FREE!!! It will change this world! P.S THC is not psycho-active till HEAT!
Legalize it, like Ron Paul says, people are dying for the same reason they did with prohibition. Prohibiting doesn't work because it creates gang lords; however, know this, peace loving pot smokers, when you buy dope realize how many murders are on YOUR HEADS!
I wonder how he feels about the oil industry and our social addiction to petrolium. While the poison air and water caused by this industry, especially in the canadian tar sands, doesn't kill everyone who breathes or drinks it, it causes a lot of harm to people and all but destroys the environement.
@xxiv5xx on the contrary, he knows what it can do, that's why the world is keeping it illegal, because the people who govern the world, want it to stay illegal, HINT**** (who can patent a plant?)
Giving bailouts to large companies while taxing normal citizens? CHECK
Censoring the internet via C-11 and other bills while purposely avoiding debate? CHECK
Prioritizing Israel over his own country? CHECK
Increased size of the federal government? CHECK
WHO THE HECK VOTED THIS MAN!?!? His "logic"/lies on drugs doesn't even make sense. Marijuana is made in BRITISH COLUMBIA! That's CANADIAN! What does he mean we get it from "foreigners"!?
Harper :You are so full of it, you know that you are just talking a lot of smoke, because you know and any drug enforcement agent knows that if drugs were legalized that the drug trade would die; as what happened when booze- which by the way is a much worse drug that pot, was legalized the bootlegging business was crippled. So get you head out of the pockets of the drug lords and do what is right.
"When people are buying from the drug trade they are not buying from their neighbours. They are buying from international cartels that are involved in unimaginable violence and intimidation and social disaster and catastrophe all across the world."
How is this different from buying gasoline from Big Oil, or food from Nestlé or Monsanto, or intellectual "property" from Big Pharma? Really, dear CONservatives, where is the difference?
As for your 'young' children who might be faced with being exposed to these sorts of things, who is that relevant to the question at all? They will be subjected to them whether or not it is legalized!
Harper...seriously...You're completely missing the point. If you legalize marijuana it can be regulated, taxed, and would stop us from WASTING tax money on pathetic personal drug possession arrests. I personally do not do drugs, but seriously, legalizing this WOULD BE DEALING WITH IT.
This whole interview was just dodging the real question.
The neighbors to the south? Marijuana does NOT! destroy their society..It is simply strawmen politicians like yourself that do it....Support an idea in defiance of another when both are linked to greed and wealth....
AND he speaks to the nation through how he feels HIS children should be raised..i think he needs to have his daughter get drunk and fuck up..and his son to smoke a pound of grass in a weekend ..THEN address the nation...MY KIDS...pfffttt...Thanks LEADER...ahahaha
Marijuana use supports international drug cartels? Harper you sir are a tool...It's home grown by hillbillies here on welfare cause they say fuck your ideas and system..Yet alcohol is everywhere and does far worst in my eyes and from personal experience to families than homegrown marijuana ever did....CORRUPTION AT IT'S PEAK!
Wow, Harper really likes to hear himself speak, doesn't he? Holy he just goes on and on repeating the same thing in different ways. AND what's with the grin? Does hhe really think that people believe his b.s.? uggh, he He thinks marijuana is the drug that creates chaos and destruction, like how thick-headed can someone be? He really doesn't get out much to learn anything about the people he governs.
and why cant we at least try for one year, to legalize marijuana? they know its gonna stop alot of drug trade, and If it were legal, and prohibited his kids wouldn't be able to get their hands on it until the age of 18. kiss my ass harper I can't believe I voted for you, you make up ullshit excuses it just shows you have no fuckin honesty.
@diRTyNeEcH i feel sorry that you voted for him. That's gotta be a weight on your shoulders especially now since \he wants to start spyimg on peopleon their phones and internet.
they make more money from having it illegal. all of the private prisons aww wtf am I talkin bout all y'all know that already, Netflix - The Union, watch that shit man awwwww yeah!
Everything is connected, to declare a war on drugs is to declare war on your own culture and the very ideas that you so ignorantly claim to believe in. Free country? bitch please, politics and money rule this world and having a hand up your ass isn't worth any amount of money to someone who actually stands for something but our culture has become so diluted it will be years before anyone legit leads our people to what North America was built on...yet I'm still willing to die for it, fuckin' life
I want to slap him upside the head so badly right now! If marijuana growth and distrobution is legalized and regulated, it will remove a major source of income for the cartels, remove dependance on the cartels to provide the bud, and increase income. If regulated correctly it can also decrease the number of health issues associated with marijuana since the cartels have made it around 500% stronger than it was, which is what is causing most issues in the first place!
alcohol is a drug nicotine is a drug and there both legal if a joint does less damage to your system than a beer or a cigarette I don't see why marijuana can't be legalized im not saying that crack ur meth should be legalized mini bush but I don't see why pot couldnt b grown and farmed in canada and then used in canada
Haha ya the people who run the drug trade are violent people, just like how Al Capone was violent running the illegal alcohol trade. The violence caused by alcohol disappeared pretty fast after its legalization. When was the last time someone got shot cuz a six-pack deal went bad?
I hate this man. He's no better than Bush, he's just as stupid and greedy. Whenever I buy weed, it's from super chill people, and usually they're the ones that grow it as well. The only time I ever see people getting violent is when alcohol is involved. I feel better now that I use marijuana on a regular basis, I haven't had any anxiety attacks and my insomnia isn't much of a problem. Weed is illegal because the government makes more money that way. Fuck Harper.
coke, e, meth, heroine, damn keep those illegal. Those are drugs that have destroyed people and lives. They are saying "legalizing weed is ending the war on drugs". That's not true. Legalizing weed will be a great victory in the war on drugs.
marijuana is not a drug, it is a plant. the conservative party just wants to sterilize and censor every little thing to make there friends in the 10% happy. Harpers kids, exposed to drugs? Who exposed them to those drugs? That is almost a joke. So he will not tax and legalize marijuana, because he does not want his kids to do it, yet keeping it illegal makes it easier for minors to obtain. Everything Harper says is a lie.
Plenty of people died in the alcohol trade during prohibition. Alcohol trade was violent. Liquor stores today aren't. Seriously, you can't lump weed and hard drugs together. Weed in isn't bought from international cartels. Canada grows enough that we have a surplus, and we sell it to the US. Set it up like the liquor stores.
I find it funny that the same half dozen or so pot heads have over 2000 comments on this video. Get off welfare, quit smoking so much pot. I smoked heavy for 15 years then I failed a drug test and lost my job. In a moment of clarity I thought to myself "is pot worth limiting my future". Quit for a week, You won't belive the difference in your mental capacity. Or keep smoking and sacrifice your future. More good jobs for me then.
@STUPIDDRAGONS Just because your a failure at life and choose to blame drugs for your idiot lifestyle, this means nothing for the vast majority of responisble users.
Nobody is flooding Asia with non-asians and telling everybody to 'mix'
Nobody is flooding Black countries with non-blacks and telling everybody to 'mix'
Every White country, and ONLY White countries are expected to flood themselves with 3rd Worlders and 'assimilate' (inter-marry) to create a mixed up 'blended humanity'.
This is nothing but an attempt to Genocide White people.
@WhiteHussar83 lol ur words...they're just so meaningless. Please post some videos or links or SOMETHING that shows me where these anti whites are saying this. you live in a bubble. grow the fuck up
"These would never be respectable businesses run by respectable people." Really? I've never met a single drug dealer with less integrity than you've shown as Prime Minister Mr. Harper. As well, if someone goes to a local marijuana dealer, they're supporting international drug cartels? Really? We're Canadian, why import when we have the best product available IN THE WORLD? When I used to smoke, I knew exactly where mine was grown, and that it wasn`t grown by a cartel. Get a leg to stand on
International Drug cartels? WTF is he talking about, why the F>>> would someone buy from down there when Canadians GROW THE BEST MEDICAL CANNABIS IN THE WORLD
Harper, do guns not fuel crime and cartels? You want to create more lax gun laws so people can easily get hold of a gun to kill somebody but you don't want people to be able to use a plant that is responsible for 0 deaths per year, guns are responsible for over 500 million deaths per year!
Illegal, or legal. Still doesn't stop me from buying my weed at the store, and getting a receipt. Why don't they focus on serious issues? World hunger, world peace...
Besides us pot smokers want to keep it illegal or the govt will charge us triple and add tobacco and other legal garbage to keep us from getting a good buzz, so Harper is doing a good thing here. And you know that if Layton that pervert was prime minister he would have probably made Asian bawdy houses legal, and that wouldn't be a good thing because then our prime minister Layton would be busy getting free 'back rubs' all the time. So give Harper some credit here
The drug laws were not put in place because "drugs are bad", drug laws were put in place to control of minorities. Look at the prison system in the States. The numbers show that while drug use is consistent along the lines of race, Blacks and Latinos are far more likely to be charged with a drug crime and far more likely to be incarcerated.

im really pissed at how that question was worded. it opened up the opertunity for stephen harper to focus on the drug trade as a hole insted of just specifically the marijuana trade first off the marijuana trade in Canada does not cause devastation in third world countries. pot grown in a basement in bc does not have the same effect on society that heroin grown in Afghanistan does and to lump them together is misleading.
jeremyjdhstrother 3 days ago

To try to confuse the two is amoral, disengenuine, and wrong.
ementormike 4 days ago
@ementormike " losers in at least one aspect of their lives and that is in being mentally reduced stoners." Yes, anybody who smokes pot must be a stoner. You sound like a ignorant, bigoted fool. Also, your 'prescription medication' example is also B.S. Many medications are NOT given to patients to prevent death. Many prescription drugs, like Valium, are prescribed to combat stress. What's the difference between a joint and Valium? And don't play the 'it legal, therefore it OK' card either.
pillsareyummy 2 days ago
Interesting to see all the dislikes for this video. Apparently, this video has been frequented by supporters of marijuana and perhaps other drug use. I have heard of and witnessed the harms and the ugly and destructive and threatening atmosphere that is created by people with addictions that; in some cases, are prepare to threaten the lives even of those who don't want the second hand smoke. Harper is right to stand up against the harmful effects of all kinds of drug use on users and bystanders.
ementormike 5 days ago in playlist 1
@ementormike What a very high horse you sit upon my friend. If you knew anything about marijuana, you would know that it has absolutely no harmful effects whatsoever, and its beneficial effects have long been known. Harper is aware this, just as I am sure he knows of the polls by Canadians for its legalization. He is not stupid or uninformed, merely deceitful, and manipulative. The pharma companies are who he supports, and their drugs are more harmful. Does he stand up to them?
777saroja 4 days ago

SirLagAlot109622 5 days ago
@SirLagAlot109622 Your argument was/is ridiculous. One of the reasons why teens try harder drugs is because they are, more often than not, being sold by the same people selling pot. If kids are educated on the negative effects of 'hard drugs', and not lied to in the process, they will be less likely to try them. Not to mention, you'll find more people using cocaine on wall street, then in the High Schools.
pillsareyummy 2 days ago
Why is he lumping pot in with all drugs? I agree things like heroin & meth should be illegal but not pot. I don't know why we can't get a national vote on this issue. Elected leaders are supposed to serve the people, he isn't. Alcohol causes more problems and cigarettes are clearly unhealthy but they are allowed.

Then legalize it so that we're buying it and pay taxes on it towards the Government.

this is one of the only things i agree with concerning mr harper. legalizing it wouldnt be good. there would always be a black market anyway.
19Gui86 1 week ago
@19Gui86 yea just like there's still a black market for alcohol?? loll Come on there buddy open your eyes
ruthless0213 1 week ago
@ruthless0213
its on a wayyy different level man. the alcohol black market involves glass bottle management, specialized equipment and stuff like that, all it takes for anybody to grow weed is a seed
19Gui86 6 days ago
@19Gui86 Glass bottle management?? Hahah.... believe me there is no "specialized equipment", making moon shine is incredibly easy. You cant legally buy seeds either, but you can legally buy "glass bottles" and every other ingredient involved in making liquor. And you cant grow weed just anywhere outside like any old plant, you need to live in the right climate.. and if you don't, growing indoors is pretty difficult and still requires skill.
ruthless0213 6 days ago
The vast majority of people wont go through the risk and hassle of growing illegally, if its available to buy legally. Just like people stopped making there own liquor in the past. And no ones going to take the risk of breaking the law and buying from anyone who grows there own illegally, so what your talking about is very few people, growing there own... just for personal use. (just like liquor).
And yes, I agree that they are "on a way different level". Liqour is waaaaay worse the Weed!!!
ruthless0213 6 days ago
@ruthless0213 It's easier to control alcohol, since the process of making it is much more complex (and expensive) than growing weed. Nobody is going to buy 'moon shine' (that tastes like shit) when they can purchase high quality Scotch, Rum, Sherri, Vodka, etc, legally. Pot on the other hand is easy to grow and requires very little equipment, thus it's cheap to produce. The government would have to sell good quality weed, and at a good price, if they ever wished to completely control it.
pillsareyummy 5 days ago
@pillsareyummy yea exactly, I know..... thats why we go to liquor stores loll There never going to "completely control" it... just like they don't completely control alcohol. But they will have control, no ones gonna sell it illegally outta there backyard, there going to grow there own for personal use. And the government would have good quality weed loll waaay better then poo weed that u got seeds for outta ur baggy. Weed from legal dispensaries in California are amaaaazzzinnnggg
ruthless0213 5 days ago
@ruthless0213
dont start arguing with me that weed is more difficult to grow than it is to make alcohol. You can practicly ask any weed dealer for some seeds and sometimes you might even get them randomly in your weed. and i know people who just randomly grow it outside in their backyardi dont know where you live and maybe its different there, but i have never heard about black market alcohol in my city (population over 1 million, Montreal).
19Gui86 6 days ago
@19Gui86 why the hell would a weed dealer sell you seeds loll cuz thats good for business right.. and if you get seeds in ur bags, ur smokin garbage weed. And im not saying its easier to make alcohol then growing weed, but it is still very easy. But yea anyways, you mentioned that there "would always be a black market anyways". There was a black market for alcohol, it got legalized, and now there's not. Theres a black market for pot now, if it gets legalized, there would be no more black market
ruthless0213 5 days ago
@19Gui86 2).... there would still be people growing there own (like there is now), but it would only be for personal use.. because selling (home made pot) would be illegal...so isnt that better then how it is now?? Pot should be legalized and your completely blind if you think otherwise
ruthless0213 5 days ago
@ruthless0213
people would not stop selling it at all, you just told me people wouldnt sell it because it would b illegal...it is illegal now and as far as i know alot of people sell marijuana..
19Gui86 4 days ago
@19Gui86 its sold and bought illegally now because ITS NOT LEGAL ahahah if its legal... no ones going to sell it or buy it illegally. Why would someone risk buying illegally if its sold legally??? Ive never heard of a drug dealer that sells legal shit loll. Anyways, im done... just remember this conversation when weed is legalised
ruthless0213 3 days ago
@ruthless0213 why would some one sell marijuana even if its legal? why are people selling drugs even thogh they are illegal? theres ONE REASO NFOR BOTH THESE QUESTIONS: MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! money ma, even if it becomes legal, you can bet alot of people still wanna make money off it.
19Gui86 3 days ago
@19Gui86 loll omg man... never mind. just go away. WHO THE FUKS GONNA BUY IT THO. You can try selling outta ur backyard, but if its legalized everyone will be buyin at dispensaries n shit

selkirk4life 1 week ago
@selkirk4life For starters Canada is voted by the whole world as being the most respected country on the planet. Second, if you are talking about pension cuts, let me educate you. The current pension system was created when A. Life expectancy was less. B. Baby boomers weren't all about to collect a pension. So the money is going to run out if we don't delay collecting by 2 years. Do you care about anyone but yourself? Because you might get a pension but those behind you are fucked
juzu4me 1 week ago
@juzu4me I was not talking about pensions. What I am talking about the significant difference between Mr. Harper and the majority of Canada's everyday opinions. I am also pointing out that Harper appeals to the type of people that have the same opinions that the majority of Canada held back in the mid-20th century. We are not in the 20th century any more, we are in the 21st century. Where the logic of science is better understood, and access to information is easier.
selkirk4life 1 week ago
Also with that is the ability to communicate to anyone anywhere in the world instantaneously. Now the babyboomers are accustomed to the way things were in the 20th century and are very hard (but not impossible) to convince of different ways of thinking. This is why the NDP picked up so many seats this past May the oppressed of the past is now the world of today. Mr Harper is counting on that fact that many of the older generation doesn't question what they are told.
selkirk4life 1 week ago
But we the youth of today question everything we are told. As science has taught us to do. I cannot stand for people that think they are so well informed when really they don't have a clue, If you really want to know what the truth is spend a little bit of time on the Internet and read the reports that are posted everywhere, look at what the majority of people say. As for an example how many people have supported Mr. Harper for his comments on this video, Not very many eh?

If marijuana growth and distrobution is legalized and regulated, it will remove a major source of income for the cartels, remove dependance on the cartels to provide the bud, and increase income. If regulated correctly it can also decrease the number of health issues associated with marijuana since the cartels have made it around 500% stronger than it was, which is what is causing most issues in the first place!

Canada…America….Britain….Sweden…Latvia will only be 100% diverse
When there are NO WHITE CHILDREN LEFT!
Diversity is a code-word for genocide!

You want to create more lax gun laws so people can easily get hold of a gun to kill somebody but you don't want people to be able to use a plant that is responsible for 0 deaths per year, guns are responsible for over 500 million deaths per year!

i think you should criminalize all Class A drugs two or three or four times as much but allow cultivation of three plants
