OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO !! I cant tell you how many times I played this album for people and they freaked out! This is my best kept music secret besides UK. THANK YOU !!!!
holly !*@#!!! this is one of the first videos I ever directed when I was 21, after my partner and I had won that USA Madonna True Blue make my video contest on MTV in 86, which started my career!! I was the Latin dude behind the camera chasing you guys on that endless circular track then editing it trying to keep up with your energy on set! thank you for sharing Simon! ANGEL GRACIA
Very interesting, very good. Had the album since day one, more recently the cd.
I'd like to know is what bass and guitar are they playing? I had the Mouradian #3 bass (bass in the brochure), Chris' green one is #2. One of those looks like it could be from Jim Mouradian.
I had the cassette of this back in the eighties when I lived in San Fran. I loved this song! I thought I would never hear it again. Thank you so much. This and Sunshine are outstanding. Hope all is well with them.
I only had Esquire on vinyl. I recorded it on cassette and used to blast "To the Rescue" when I was on my way to the Jersey shore. I wound up drawing other friends into getting hooked on Esquire. Fantastic video and thanks for the memories- warmly an old rocker, Cleo
I only have this on vinyl. I listened to it a couple times over the last ten years. The first time didn't do much for me. Five years later, I listened again. Wow, impressive. Five years later again...now it's a masterpiece, and I can't get enough of it. It's on my iPod right now.
These songs could've been recorded for Yes and been a bigger hit than Big Generator ever was. LOL.
Nice to see Pat Thrall in this. I liked his short stint in Asia.
I had no idea these were around! This is Gary, the art director / sound tech for the videos "Sunshine" and "To the Rescue".I had a blast working with this band, they were absolutely top notch players and being a wicked rock guitarist on the Miami scene at the time, I got a lot of tips from Pat Thrall on this shoot. How many jobs can you get where you get a pro guitar clinic thrown in? I've had active pre-amps in my Strats ever since. Nikki, hope you're doing well and still at it
Can someone please let me here the email address if it has this album in digital format? Please....I am looking for it for 10 years....:(( Please help an old fashioned heart....thank you!
Yes, contrary to some opinions, we actually had to know how to play and sing like rock stars to actually BE rock stars in the '80s. No pitch correction or sync tracks. You had to really REALLY BRING it.
Can I take the opportunity to thank you for Blossomtime (and the rest of that album), Nikki. Blossomtime to me is up there with some of my favourite tracks - it's so magical and gives me shivers. Chris's Fish Out of Water is my favourite album of all time - Blossomtime is way up there with the tracks on that. It's a priviledge to 'meet' you :-)
Mine too - thank you for the 'big time' compliments on 'Blossomtime' - I had always hoped that song would bring some magic along the way of those who listened, it does for me when I sing it, I love singing it. I hope the new tracks, that are yet to be posted on MySpace, soon, will make you feel the same way, that would be great! Nikki x
My daughter Chloe is hooked on your music. We honestly listen to your (2) CD's daily while driving in our minivan. Chloe can sing every verse (without making any up) that I can only hum to after myself listening to your music since 1987.
Chloe, honestly, is hands down your biggest fan. In fact, I chose her Baptism name Camille directly after your daughter. Now, here is the clincher...Chloe is only 5 years old!
Please come to Cleveland. The House of Blues waits for you!

I don't know if that is Phil Collins doing background vocals, but it sure sounds like him.

Great song! So much better than what passes for disposable "music" today.
I wish talent and musicianship would make a comeback. Sometime this century. Please!

I bought this album back in the 1980s. It's great, but not heard for years. I had an old vinyl, which I lost along the way to digital.
Not sure how it did commercially though... but I guess it's not all about making money

I love Esquire - Nikki has such a powerful voice.
'Tron Thomi' has to be their greatest track - it's so original.
