even ice blue/ hawk turquoise can be very effective with a snow themed base

i like to do boltgun metal then put watered-down vomit brown into the recesses to make it look rusted (then wash with devlan mud)

All the difference in the world. Demons are unbreakable, cause fear, and overall considered the most uber army in all of warhammer. Beasts are considered one of the worst armies, but that might change when the new book comes out.

the beasts are men who where transformed by chaos and now worship it. the demons are like manifestations of there gods. But the probably fight on some occasions because the chaos gods will fight each other as much as they would fight anyone else kinda like orcs.

Im sure you probably know this by now but characters cannot join units of zombies in case you dont. Check the zombies entry in the armybook for referance. Awesome battle reports though. Cheers.

No, blood knights are designed to (and are almost always successful in) killing ANYTHING they charge into. The point is to charge them into your opponent's strongest unit and have them wipe it out in the first turn, then attacking the rest of his army from the rear.

about 19-24 and take mark of Tzeentch i know you only get a +6 Ward save but sometimes it can help keep some alive

and if you play it smart you charge the Rune Lord with Wulfrik and something else with your unit of Marauders, Wulfrik should be be able to tear that Rune Lord apart quiet easily because of Gift of Tongues plus you just nominate his Lord so you get +2 Strenght against him and may reroll to wound and to hit

All Hgh Elves always strike first, but they're squishy If any enemies survive. Make full use of your mages archers and specials (High Elves can have more special and rare choices than other armies) and go for the kill before your opponent can react.

dragons are great for high elevs but dont field them against heavy shooting armys

also i think white lion chariots are good looking and great 4 winning aganst your opponent also phenix guard

but besides that just try to learnm the rules as quickly as possible and the gamwesworkshop has great articles about there strenghts and weaknesses

Whichever army speaks to you most. Go with an army that you like the look and feel of. Which models do you like? Which models do you want to paint? Do you want to have a lot of magic/shooting.close combat, or a mixture? Answer those questions and you will have an idea which army is best for you.

I have found that the Greater Daemons are better point value then the Daemon Prince. Then again my army is much different then this one..such as i won't leave home without my Pink Horrors with Herald.

The Screamers were just okay. If he would have had any shooting, I don't think they would have lasted. You would think that with a 20" flight move, they would be able to slash multiple units a turn, but it just didn't work out that way.

That being said, I did order another unit of them today :)

Nice report between the two strongest armies in the game. Zombies are not that good in this edition.  Their S & T were lowered. The VC lords should be in with the crypt ghouls or skeletons.
