for 4 years we had them nesting but not this year .seen them visiting the box but i think its cus we have seen a kestrel flying around. Its' amazing any of them survive .The grey Squirrels are notorious for killing chicks as well as Magpies....have often thought it be nice to get a camera and film them .don't need to now : )...thank you for Posting a really .lovely vid

Yoo! I had a blue tit in my roof. You could hear all the chicks twerping when the mother came back to feed em. Does all but one have to die? Cruel cruel nature.

I've got a nest box full of chirping blue tits at the moment. I imagine that they will be gone within a week. It was good to see your film as it lets me have an idea of what is happening in my own box at the moment.

we have great tits in our back garden. but in our neighbourhood, practically everyone has a cat (including us). i hope at least one of the birds can grow up :(... hopping around with all those cats..:S

The last bird got away but they did not stay around the nest area so we don't know how many survived. I gather that is quite usual.
