however her technique is nothing to be admired...her pot is evidently off center due to her lack of structure while throwing...learn some textbook techniques and then learn ur own style
I have watched this video quite a few times- am self taught- and through this have managed to make my tagines a lot bigger than I used to- but still- not like this one! its fantastic
look up pottery wheels on google. i found a studio set really good with everything u need for $1100. n btw im puerto rican too. :P soo yea google it look around.
l liked the technique at first... but at the end the whole dish gets off center... I wonder if the technique that undercuts the centered slab of clay to make the lip, instead of building the lip as you would a cylinder, would produce a more consistently centered finished product...
Well, I never had a cat, but my sister did, and she used to put him on a wheel, spin the hell out of him, groom him with a rubber rib... why, is that unusual?
No, I meant that she sometimes seems to rest her hands on the clay and just feel it, instead of having every movement aimed to do sumthing on the clay. But anyway, watched video again and didn't have that impression.

Nice, she's cuddling the clay like a cat. I am still so technical and lifeless when I throw.
