  • i thought he was on a boat

  • you guys need to bass fish throughout my career ive cought some monsters and its alot of fun and catch and release is the way to go

  • have you ever caught a catfish in that pond? if so how do you prefer to un hook a catfish?

  • awesome I got the same lure as you.... I found mine at a lake:)

  • hmmm i went to new york for striped bass i got a big one i won 1st place

  • ur grandfather must have been ossom

  • i caught a what we call big here 3 pound small mouth it was big (to me)

  • Im using a abu garcia baitcating reel and 20lb text line what kind od lure should i use and what kind do you use?

  • How come Bill Dance or Roland Martin can't nail a bass that fast ? Just kidding. Was actually pleased to see you do a fishing vid and not a knife. BUT, I love all your vids Nunt. A faithful subscriber. Take care. P.S. Ur knife vids rule, Dude

  • sorry what was the name of the pond? is it a public pond? were is it located?

  • @MrNava121 Its his grand fathers

  • i've had that exact lure balls deep in my thumb once..

  • Bustin Bass Baits has great lure making supplies and tip.

  • also that wire leader is not needed a snap swivle is more than enough to fish anu lure for bass you should use the least ammount of hardwere possable

  • crapy spawn in late spring they just started in ohio ultra light gear a 1/2 lb crappy feels like a 2 lb bass

  • everything's nice there

  • fishing is awesome. in winter, all i wish is that it was spring or summer so i can fish.

  • You might have mention it, but do you ever keep the fish and eat it? I guess I would. I prepared the carp and black carp this christmas. It was not neat and clean, but I was able to do it:). I do not like killing of anything though.

  • I could but dont, I prefer beef or chicken alot more than fish, but every now and then I crave some seafood...

  • oh i hate to catch sunnys

  • is that a steel leader...???

  • Woah, what's that white thing that zooms by at 00:16 at the top of the hill.

  • that an alien...lol, nah just a car there is a road there

  • is that a ugly stik medium light

  • a car

  • nice

  • that was a good size bass

  • nice video. thanks

  • Man lucky. Ill spend hours trying to catch a meansily panfish and barely get a nibble.

  • what type of fish do you stalk in your pound?

  • o thats nice. that is a gorgeous piece of land man thats like a dream house for someone. gotta love fishin. by the way you should learn to make your own tackle and make a video

  • was that pond stocked or just legit

  • thsi was stocked about 10 years ago and never re-done, we get alot of smaller bass, some sunfish, and very rarely Ill see catfish...

  • if you hold the fish like you did against its own weightt, you can unhinge its jaw...

  • its better than having a hook in it for the rest of its life

  • thats why you hold it by its side or just dont hold the fish against its own wait to get the hook out...theres more then one way too take out a hook

  • true...but with one hand working the tripod...that would be a bit more difficult

  • ya but i rather not harm the fish

  • gives em character.

  • the hooks disolve in less than a week while underwater.

they are made that way for the tricky situations where the hooks in the throat

  • oooh, i didnt know that before :D

  • i wanna go fishing but i ideally i need to go with someone who has all the gear

  • We like our yamamoto baits up here in Mass. last year i caught 44 Bass few 4lbs. My partener pulled out a 7 lb largemouth biggest bass i ever seen what a thrill. cant wait till that ice thaws and thanks for your bass video.

  • awesome place. i'd love to go fishing there

  • beautiful place

  • I was at my Grandpas pond and caught a 7lb Large mouth Bass, REALLY gets your heart pumping, I hope you catch your monster

  • i love fishing! here in england most places insist on catch and release. i usually fish for carp, which is really popular here, my biggest so far is 27lb!

  • i dont know what fish this is because i dont know the translation, but is bass edible?

  • downright peaceful, i can see why you're up there so often. the birds serenading you on a warm august day, with a little breeze. absolutely perfect.

  • take the swivel off. you will catch a lot more

  • keep fishing bro

  • umm are you always on your grandfathers prop?

  • he passed away a little over a year ago, and ever since we go there almost every weekend and have spend weekdays there as well, we enjoy it a great deal and are takign care of it, its ours now, we just cant move there yet...

  • i'm very sorry

  • What state is this?

  • PA...

  • that rapala always rips up their neck, i try not to use it anymore

  • I agree with you i love the rapala but it does tend to rip up the fish quit a bit. I have gone to the plastic sankos. Sankos work great for the largies last year i got a 5 pounder with it not a bad fish conclusion: Dont use the rapala too much lol

  • Great job on releasing it. To me, largemouth are a sportfish and I never keep them unless its a new personal record and I want to mount it. Love your knife videos too!

  • that was a largemouth..smallmouth are more brown and they dont have the black stripe on them like that one did.

  • I love youtube.

  • that was a smallmouth dude

  • yes your right, I made the mistake in the video, my appologies...

  • yes largemouth are alot bigger

  • well even largmotuh start off as babies, lol so there are largmotuh that are even saller than this fish but yes when they get older they tend to be larger, I think I read somewhere that all fish leep growing until they die, one of the few if not the only kind of animal that does that, just keeps on growing until death!

  • well i no gold fish will grow or shrink to the size of the bowl

put it in a big bowl it will grow put it in a small bowl i think it will shrink

  • thats really interesting! I never heard that before...I rmember years ago where I use to fish we use to catch carp! which is basically like 15 lb gold fish, lol, some guys would leave them on shore to die because they eat bass eggs, but I could never bring myself to do that, just felt selfish...

  • yea i all ways catch and release the olny time i keep them is when im hungry lol

but ya carp are real stupid

ive never done it but i think you and catch the whith your hands or a speer or a steel hook on the end of e stick and they wont move lol

  • I got a 3 pronged thrust spear that I use out on the sandbars on the Missouri river and I spear kittyfish all day, I think I pulled 4 blue or channels in cant remember tho...but we got a small creek near our house and carp love it...thats how I got good spearin :p

OMG youtube should like make people take off videos with good weather in them like this one...its -5 here without windchill...man I wish it was nice again ice fishing sucks

    great video

  • make a vid

  • srry man iv been fishing my whole life from the age of 3 till now spent countless hours

on the water, and this is a large mouth bass. no doubt about it. if ur gonna correct some 1 or try to make sure u know the subject and wut ur talkin bout. granted its a comman mistake, but for some to think they are pointing out a fact, and is not doesnt help, the vid is labeled bass fishing and a small mouth is a bass even still. plz plz plz did i say plz? dont argue with me on this little bit.

  • WHAT FACT

and you ave no bussiness saying this me and cutlerylover where haveing a good convo about it

  • have you ever caught a walleye (sorry if i mispell it) or a pike? i hear those have needle sharp teeth.

  • Yes, actually my grandfather bought 5 of them for the pond but in the next 3 weeks we kiled 4 of them on accident because they swallowed the lure and we just could not get them out, but boy did they put up a fight...and yes they have sharp teeth!!!

  • Hey, that was too fast of a catch. I'm thinkin that was a trained fish. You are a man of many talents.

  • haha, well actually just a well stocked pond and a good time to fish, lol...

  • Yeah, my grandfather had one of those in Canada. I think for a family gathering one day we caught about 35 rainbow trout in like an hour, if that long.

I never knew you could hold a fish like that to keep it from jumping into my hair or something.

  • Thats cool, yeah but its only for bass, their jaw is so strong, it supports their own weight, but for other fish you want to use a different method of holding it...Some fish like sunny have very pointy fins like on the spine of the body and you need to sort of slide your hand down its back and grip the body, otherwise they will poke you, Ill see if I cna film it next time I catch a sunny, but yeah, different methods for different fish, The worst are pike, ughhh,, they have sharp teeth!

  • pike's are awsome aswell but what you want to do is dont go in there mouths with your hands!

you will have to take a plug and some tongs.

also if you want to hold them for a photograph wat you want to do is:

    - hold one hand on the kiew of the fish ( i dont know how to call it )

    - and the other hand on the lower part of the body ( near the final fins )

if you do that they wont try to jump around.

or anotherpart if you are scared to do the above. get behind them becouse the wont see u!

  • good advise, So far in all the years I fished in the pond I have only caught 1 pike, and it was HARD to get that hok out, it swallowed it all the way down...I am not sure if there is even any pike left in the pond? If there are they must be huge, lol...

  • Very cool man! You're lucky to have a lake like that so close to home. Catch and release!

  • Yes, I am very lcuky to be enjoying my grandfathers property...Its our own private pond, but we let alot of neighbors fish on it too...

  • haha man awsome fish

i fish aswell most of the time on carp (latin word : Cyprinus carpio)

i dont know if you can find those in America but in holland the get very big... (at my fishing spots around 20 pounds. a mate of me actually cought a 40 pounder)

next time ill go fishing and bring my camera with me aswell.

by the way , that kind of fish doesnt exist in holland, i always wanted to go to Australia or America for there fishes.

awsome man keep bringing more fish :P

    -Michael

  • Nice, yes we have carb here in the US, and where I live, not in this pond though, but I use to fish in a nearby lake that had madssive carp! all they are are giant goldfish, same family...They eat bass eggs too so some people kill them when they catch them, but I never did, Just seemed like a crappy thing to do...

  • haha, well that some people kill them is very weak , becouse its nature!

here they eat ( sometimes , not like its their main meal ) the eggs of a pike, but a grown up pike eats small carps and all sorts of fish, so...

but what i know carps eat bugs , plants , worms , potato's ,bread , and some other stuff

  • my dad caught a 14 pound large mouth its awsome

  • Wow, thats amazing!

  • very nice video all your videos are great keep up the good work

  • Thank you!

  • nice i cought a larg mouth sunday

  • Hey, very cool man!

  • god, i can't even remember the last time i went fishing. it's got to be at least ten years.

  • Yeah besides fishing at my grandfathers house I have not gone in years myself...When I was younger and I lived in New JKersey I usr to fiss alot...I will hopefully get alot more fishing in this summer!

  • Hey first view and comment! Nice vid!

  • Thanks!
