How do you figure? car has full exhaust, no cats all the bolt ons. Why would I have to lie? Some LS1s were factory freaks and dynoing 320 rwhp stock..they were underrated from the factory.

@jacobklotz Mos def you can put 400whp to the ground with cam and bolt ons. With a piss poor tune, my old Z28 6MT put 396whp to the ground with TSP Torquer V2 112LSA, Pacesetter LTs, TSP catless Y-pipe, Hooker Exhaust, and SLP CAI. Sold the Z for an STi, but I can still remember her like yesterday. Going from NA to FI really makes you appreciate the instant power and torque the LS1 puts out.

@xZZxTakedown Indeed. I just read up on an LM7 build that did a head swap and cam. Made around 450 crank hp (wasn't dropped into a car). Once you factor in drivetrain loss, that's still pretty damn impressive.

Too bad the internals wouldn't last so long. But money bullet proofing saves you cash in the end heh.

You're good till you start going over 450-465 at the wheels lol,I've seen too many people say bye bye to their motors that way. I love ls1's but hate their stock internals, but it's not like you can buy some badass new ones right? haha

@xZZxTakedown haha yup. That's what we did with my cousin's LT1. Rear end was about to go, so he took it to the track with the goal of blowing it out. Put on his spray, and better tires for the night.

After we picked up all the pieces, it was a good excuse for him to get a beefier one haha.

It came as an SLP option on the SS camaros. Its called the Center Mount Exhaust, or more commonly CME. All it is is a one-piece tip thats fed by the muffler, and requires a valance under the bumper.

personally, I would only do that mod if it was a car for the track. I don't think it sounds like shit, but its more of a racing mod. Theres other less aggressive street cam mods that have a cool sounding rhythm unlike this, this is more of a race cam for maximum power. But I am yet to find a cam legal for street use in california, damn strict ass emissions regulations and smog checks haha. What you got 419hp in? Ls1 camaro or ws6?
