  • I spotted 57009 and 57012 on sunday. They had been repainted into DRS colours and were stabled at York.

  • Having worked on them...apart from pulling to much weight they couldn't handle !!. They were nice loco's when not in de-rate.

  • I filmed 57005 still in freightliner livery on the 23rd January on a long marston trip.Glad to get it going to LM while still in the freightliner colour scheme.Dont suppose it will be long before cotswold paint it to their colours.57005 is good for the clag.Nice vid 01276

  • theyve already started on one loco.. i think... or is that DRS, anyway 1 freightliner 57 being painted at the mo.

  • im the driver on that train any chance of sending me video/pics. good video shame u cant c me

  • okay sure, just send me an pm with your email!.. only have this video, no pics. we waved madly at you to horn it but no horn :( then chaced you down to Reading West but was just bit to slow!

  • into the darkness - no wonder the 66 was flying, it had nothing on...good vigil

  • how did you know these diesels were comming??

  • guy told me who I saw earlier that day while at the railway

  • Class 47/57 sure were successful, unlike the majority of BR classes!

  • dont forget the HSTs and 91s.... but yes very few of the other majority are no longer running or just clicking on to couple of locos
