@lisquidsnake There is payoff if you know the characters and the nature of the relationship between Lorelai and Emily. It is one of the few areas that Lorelai empathizes with her mother, ironically (not sure if I'm using the word correctly) it's a "mother"-daughter dysfunction she relates to. In the same way the expression was of understated approval in "Babe", Lorelai is emphasizing the understatement by using the same line. It's really brilliant writing.

OMg i hate trix so much... the annyoingness of emily is tolerable because she snd lorelei are when you get down to it, close but trix is just monster. isnt her name Lorelei though? i thought She was lorelei the first, Lorelei is the second and rory is the third....
