he he, well I must admit I like some of the newer games, and honestly do heavy work on the computer so having the massive powerful hardware to back that is must, and windows 7 runs beautiful on hardware that can fully support it. Though as of now, I'd call ps2 more classic gaming >.> though I'm going to get a PS2 emulator to play my FF12, I just have to think about the dual-shock2 in the controller that it wants, and other games use.

  • @davejoshmom1

OC, and enough ram. though in all honesty if your a gamer, there is no real reason to use hardware like that. Yes, the brandnew hardware is cost, but honestly even my i7-960 is now suggested 140 USD, and that's on the new SANDYBRIDGE archetype on intel boards that's only about 6 months old.

*shrugs* though I do think some gamers are just crazy and try to play games on os's just because. (I played Halo 2 on my WIndows XP, despite the fact it required DX10)

  • @davejoshmom1

nice, doesn't make it a good idea honestly, since more apps and games for vista need ALOT more power then the P3 could provide.

I installed vista and win 7 RC on my old P4, and honestly they ran decent, but I couldn't do anything with them at all, without it slowing down massively.

  • @davejoshmom1

I'll have to check it out(firefox 3.6.6), but youtube has been dicking around on the videos for nearly a month, and somehow just today broken things for me. Which is annoying >.>

  • @davejoshmom1

I would suggest you can't complain because you choose to use OLDER & reliable computer parts, making upgrading OS a bad bad bad idea for you.

All i know is windows 95 [all versions] support was dropped for it's age / and VB that was bundled with the discs.(atleast in the USA, though I doubt highly UK would still be on that OS, since it is fairly unsecure and isn't good for alot of business use.

  • @davejoshmom1

lol, yes Firefox would be slow on older hardware, but that's not the point it's fast on mine. I've got to use another browser because I can't view view videos(on the video page, but home pages still work, good grief youtube get a fucking video player and stick with it assholes) due to some HTML5 not being recognized. Firefox 4 supports it, while firefox 5 doesn't .. I'm confused on that one personally.

  • @davejoshmom1

Well yes, win 2000 is reliable, I would not say it wasn't I just said it was horrible for game devs having it's own issues with them. Gaming just wasn't Window 2000 strong suit.

If you don't like DRM, and do what you can to avoid it.... I don't respect you because yes, I torrent things and do other stuff that I shouldn't and if windows 7 has DRM, I've not seen it stop me once, but with that said I am willing to buy the games as well.

  • @davejoshmom1

Window 2000 was a good office OS and business computer as well, though that being said it was almost as bad as Windows NT was when it came to gaming, and was a pain in every devs side with it's special issues that had to be addressed, and to be respectful, windows XP was there and a FAR better choice for devs.

I'm sorry you get told that, but that's YouTube (google) and even now they screwed up the web so I need another browser and i'm using firefox 5.01.

    Fucking HTML 5

  • @davejoshmom1

Honestly, if your complaining about companies not making products for your windows anymore and your using and OS greater then 8-10 years old, you've got an issue.

If your using an OS that had dropped support (95 [all versions, a, b, c] and ME [just digital puke]) and you are complaining, there are actually solid reasons to not use those for the everyday user.

I've never seen Microsoft tech support ever tell someone they have to upgrade when they get asked about problem X.

  • @davejoshmom1

Oh for pity sake. True that developers move on to newer systems, either by choice or force, but by the time that does happen and you want to play a good game, even if it was available for you OS, you don't have the hardware to back it up, so your point is mute. That point as far as utilities is worthless, since by that point also, there is 1-4 VERY good software that will stay for your OS in the Utilities that you want.

Microsoft doesn't force you to upgrade, (except special)

  • @davejoshmom1

are you stupid? They never forced you once to upgrade, or drop support for XP.

The ones forcing you to Upgrade are the Apple Line, and they fucking charge you for Service packs, and call them New OS, which is laughable.

  • Whatever you are saying, is it TRUE? I have to use Windows 'cause I hate Mac. Linux is okay, but when I have to type a report and PRINT IT OUT, I need Windows! And since the schools have WINDOWS computers I cannot do OpenOffice Presentations. So, now it is Windows. You have NO CHOICE.

  • @davejoshmom1 I am too hooked on to Windows. I cannot go to Linux. This just makes me want to run 2000 on my PC instead of 7.....

  • i love windows media player. its easy to rip and burn cd's. the interface is my fav part and its just the best.

  • the only reason i watch these videos is to remind myself of why the world sucks. you arent helping it. not that i am, but im not spewing lies and factual errors about it either.

  • @AppleSoldier The way I see it windows is moving forward and becoming better and more reliable where as apple is moving backwards ..now offering nothing more then standard PC hardware with the MAC OS.which by the way crashes most probably because of its overheating issues.

  • Go google windows 7 emeek. Look at its market share and how happy everyone is with it? Stable? Yes its stable my windows 7 system has crashed once since I've had it. Which is more then I can say for recent apple systems. Ever wonder why if Windows is soo shit that you guys at Apple have created bootcamp specifically so you can install it? Why do so many Mac users buy pretty macs then put windows on them if mac os is sooo good lol.

  • HIs name is applesoldier for christ's sake!!!

  • you should use Windows 7 for a while and then make your own opinion about it, not read the opinion and reviews of what others say. And I like the Mac OS too, but I don't make 8 minute videos about everything I didn't like about it.

Mac OS is like a tricycle, everyone can ride them and its impossible to get hurt on one.

Windows is like a Ninja street bike, if you ride the speed limit and have a helmet on then you wont get hurt.

Linux is like a bike from IKEA you do what ever you want with it.

  • wow some one is on mac's dick in his butt, news flash bro, i have more problems on my mac than my windows 7 llogic pro keep crashing hardcore every time i hook up an instrument to the macbook, but my pc runs fine wiht reason and fruityloops and still fast as hell

  • If you really can do nothing with the control panel, then aou are just a dumbass.... sorry for that, but its true.

  • A mac fanboy, that doesn't know, what he is talking about. just say everything is slow.... yeah.... that will do the kick - retard.

Windows 7 is one of the fastest windows systems ever made. But the fastest system at all is a linux system. Just Try DSL - Damn Small Linux!!!

Please just stop talking.... i feel your IQ dropping while you're talking...

  • Retard? That's harsh dude.

  • @AppleSoldier no you are wrong you can install unsigned drivers. the nvidia beta drivers are not signed and i install them all the time, where the fuck do you get your info

  • Mac Retard

  • I think you were lying about those specs. I bought my laptop - Core2Duo @ 2.1 GHz, 3 GB DDR3 ram, GeForce 9400M, 320 GB HDD @ 5400 RPM. It boots up in well under a minute and I never have any slowdown. I can run my browser with multiple tabs, media player with an HD, chat online, and convert video files with complete responsiveness. So I highly doubt a rig with a phenom and 4GB of ram is slow... unless it was 4GB of DDR 400 ram.

  • AppleSoldier, keep these good videos coming into youtube.

  • wow apple Soldier get your facts right you dumb mac user.

  • there's no point to have an upgrade feature going from XP to 7. thats like having one in Tiger to migrate to Snow Leopard. its the same thing. saying that microsoft should put one to upgrade from XP to 7 is like telling apple to put one to go from Tiger to Snow Leopard.

  • I think the control panel is very organized and easy to use.....

  • I respect Bill Gates heavily.

I (in the words of Dr. Cox) "Mega Lothe" Steve Baldmer

  • I have windows 7 and I love it. It is a lot better than vista (even though vista wasn't too bad near the end), It rarely freezes, simple to use, and can do a lot. Windows media player works fine for me (but all I use it for is to upload CDs onto my computer, put music on a device, and listen to music). I don't think it takes long to start. I can hit restart and be back on in about a minute. Windows 7 is, in my opinion, the best OS I have ever used.

  • you can pin anything to the task bar you just have to know how ( pinhead )

  • it sound more like a fan boy freak out lolz.

  • eric, you forgot something.

I just noticed most of my old games do NOT work on windows 7.

To play those old games (which were designed to run on XP) I need to install some kind of program, which probably does something like paralells or X-over on a Mac to run the game on windows 7

  • Or just use compatibility/install XP Mode

  • Or, if you have a half-decent CPU with Intel VT, you can run XP mode in Windows 7, and VIOLA! Idiocy, FTW.

  • can anyone tell me the name or send me the link of that wallpaper?

  • do you fuckin know how to count

  • you know whats better than

    Mac and PC

    SEX!

    End of Story

  • @bisnumber1 You are talking VERY unrelated from the topic here. Sooner or later you WILL need Windows Because everything supports IT!

  • dude, windows 7 is the shiz. vista sucked though. fucking fanboy.

  • dude, get a life

  • Clearly a fanboy!

i dont love win7 but its really a good opponent to snowleopard.

for me at least, and I'm a regular pc user.

  • BULLLSHIIIT

    LINEX IS EPIC THO

but your a retard the whole of youtube knows that now

  • You are the definition of a douche bag :)

  • I know this is about the operating system moreso than the hardware, but I'm familiar with both and I'll switch over to a Mac when 1) they're priced reasonably for what's inside them and 2) you can legally build your own. Outside of gaming, that's Mac's biggest flaw compared to Linux/Windows... I love being able to pick and choose what goes into my computer.

  • apple promotes a closed system - their justification being that they have the power to control all the components within them to have better compatibility/reliability

  • Moreso to have better control over their customers, limit what they're able to do, make sure things are done Apple's way. Yeah, there's higher security in it, but there's also higher security in prison. Doesn't mean you should spend your life in a cell.

  • wow that is such an absurd analogy. i understand that you think building a custom computer would be amazing but having apple make it all for you isn't that bad. i guess it all just comes down to people not being able to afford apples and getting defensive about it.

  • @bruzcuz1

    I totally agree with you

  • macboxes = shitboxes...

  • The person who write the first letter is just a fucking moron, the second one is more true.

  • Nice biased interview.

  • I detect a mac fanboy.

  • A mac hillbilly fanboy!

  • is everyone that watches this an idiot? can you not read the title? or description? its a fucking email from someone else. your eyes are for reading more than what your writing to bash someone. probably before you watched the video.

  • glad to see at least one person takes the time to read the description and notice the WEB SITE I put in the video. Thanks for getting my back dude. And I Really mean that.

  • no problem, i just have common sense. though anytime someone talks bad about windows, someone who has never even used a mac or linux will step in and say mac is shit and can't be better than windows for blah blah blah reason. thanks for being objective and presenting both sides of the story. :)

  • your a weirdo...

have you ever done any research on anything you say, or have you just watched the mac adds?

  • mac adds

  • I installed windows 7 rc on a 10 year old desktop and it ran and booted up twice as fast as xp. you probably used the oldest cheapest peice of crap hardware u could find.

  • i dont believe you, no offense.

  • @AppleSoldier You: LALALALA I DUN WANNA HER IT WINDUHS SUX ND CNT DO SHIT AND 6 = 7 AND STFU YUR RONG

  • I find it hilarious that the only argument mac users can come up with for having a better machine is doing nothing but point out the faults of a superior OS.

  • @AppleSoldier enjoy the products u like stop hating pls

  • I'd like to see Apple support suspend on more than 6 different models of computer.

You're not an IT professional either, you daren't touch 90% of the IT market because you think the OS it uses is inferior.

  • Nice objective viewpoint

  • dude in like 80% of ur videos ur bagging on windows. like dont u have something better to do?

  • Custom install for XP users is easy...

    And LOL @ buying vista...

Media player is easy to use... another moot point - again I point out here you state you are running build 7000

Sleep features are not entirely MS's fault either as such settings are BIOS related too.

You most defiantly have the IQ of a peanut!

  • LOL

You say bill gates chucks it out the door, despite the fact you have pictures of ballmer...

Slow boot up, you pulled that out of your ass.

Slow in general is also a big misconception.

And last but not least, you mention you are using build 7000....

Registry hack.. QQ m0ar, are you such a noob that you can't use the registry?

Home groups, makes network sharing easier for others... Yet if I said anything about innovation in the light about your OS X, you'd still act like a anti-MS idiot

  • I'm sorry, but Windows Media Player is so extremely easy to use and the Control Panel is great, at least in my opinion. I prefer it over the management of Mac OS X and Linux/Ubuntu comes 2nd:P

  • u suck

  • go fuck your self

  • I was talking about the crashing etc. btw

Also his screenshots of the control panel are of a much older build obviously plucked from the internet. This guy has NOT installed Windows 7.

  • This guy has NOT installed Windows 7, I've been using Windows 7 since build 7000 and not one complaint of Applesoldier rings any bells AT ALL. I'm a Mac user too and prefer OSX there is NOTHING true about what Applesoldier is saying here. Unless he installed it on a Pentium 66 Mhz

  • Same here, I've been using Windows 7 since build7000, been using the RTM for about 3-4 weeks, really enjoy the OS. Haven't got a supremely great computer with regards to hardware, rated 3.8 within the Windows Experience Index but operates extremely well!:D Favourite operating system to date.

  • Neowin today:

"Hacker: Snow Leopard less secure than Windows"

  • Slow and unresponsive? What? Maybe it's just you but I've had no problems with Win7, whether it's on an old outdated system or a new one. It's faster than XP although USB2.0 control is slower but that's just my ports being an ass.

  • Stupid. I got the windows 7 professional final release install and didn't had a single problem. It's fast, nice and stable!!!

This guy either doesn't know what he is doing or got the a beta version installed!

Also I'm not a windows fan boy. I got a macbook and Iphone. Also windows 7 on my PC runs very nice and smooth.

  • I have had the rtm1 and ive never seen a problem. And its silky smooth

  • This is coming from a guy with a wallpaper called iWallpaper. It was fast on my setup with a Q8200 and 2gbsof ram. Don't lie emook.

  • i dont have a problem with windows 7 i just wish it was faster on my old laptop. runs okie on my macbook though lol

  • Windows 7 is the same old crap than windows vista, the same old technology the only difference is the name. This guys really know how to make money out of the stupid people who buy their peaces of crap

  • you probably haven't used the new os. anyway alfredillo22, tell me what is still the same as vista?

  • 7 is built on Vista, at it's core it's very much Vista, they've just trimmed the fat and cleaned up the code to make it less resource hungry and less glitchy. They've done a lot of UI polish too and made it more consistent. Vista at its heart wasn't "bad", it was a transitional OS moving from old outdated tech from XP, but it just wasn't fully baked or polished enough to be really considered "great". Under the improvements in 7, it's still the old Windows with the registry, dll's and crap.

  • Under the improvements in 7, it's still the old Windows with the registry, dll's and crap.

Yes TalesofWar, I get reminded of that a lot, yet problems with registry and dll's rarely happen. Sure registry can get clogged up just like OSX leaving left over files/folders after an uninstall. The registry and dll's were a problem back Win 9x, Me... Registry and Dll errors just isn't happening and if it does, it's rare.

  • Go kill yourself idiot.

  • I don't think you have a clue what your on about your a mac user so you whole idea of how a OS should work is founded on that. For those of us that have been using Windows for many years know how things work it's not a problem for us to understand. I'm not saying Mac or PC is better just pointing out that your video is based on your Mac experience and windows will never be Mac nor the other way round so get used to it as I like the way things are as I'm sure you like your Mac the way it is.

  • Too bad I installed an unsigned driver for my GPU. This guy has linux rage problems.

  • Is that with the final code? As in the RTM release? As far as I'm aware (I may be wrong, or there may be a way around it via registry hacks) you can't install unsigned drivers with the final version. You can with the BETA and possibly RC, as drivers weren't ready when these were put up for testing so they could be more lax as vendors had to make beta drivers to ensure they worked before going to MS to get them to sign them (and pay a fee to get them signed).

  • Just like any OS, it only runs as good as the user knows how to use it.

  • Actually now they have Home Premium, Pro, Ultimate and Enterprise

  • Windows 7 is a rock solid operating system and it is not slow. It is faster than Windows XP on modern systems. There are only two main editions of Windows 7 (Home Premium and Professional). If Microsoft allowed us to pin the Recycle Bin to the taskbar, it would be too much like a Mac. I agree that most Desktop Gadgets suck.

  • 7 seems to run faster than XP on modern systems because XP's spaghetti code was poorly optimised and scales very poorly with better hardware for some reason. Most likely a case of planned obsolesence, or bad coding (or both, which is more likely the case). I've noticed that 7 locks up far less than XP ever did on this machine. Let's just hope 7 has better scaling so it can run as long as XP without having the same problems on newer hardware that XP had.

  • Too many clicks to eject a device?

    watch?v=ezzgAGG2gBQ&hd=1

    Don't think so.

  • Obviously a relatively new converter to the 21st century of computing (i.e. Mac environment). You'll probably do this PC bashing for a few years but eventually realize that Microsoft is hopeless. Just leave it alone, they will never learn. Just be happy you know the difference and leave the other to fend for themselves.

  • at least we have something to control about

  • Emeek, I do like your videos and I respect your opinion, however I think this video is crap! Come on man, you are just copying some idiot's opinion without even trying the system out yourself. I have Win 7 on my machine and absolutely love it. Its fast, and yes, I have compared it to OSX. Also I've installed ultimate at work on Pentium machine with 1 gig of RAM and its good for internet browsing and basic tasks like work processing etc. And it uses only 275Mb RAM out of the box.

  • You're slow not Windows 7 :)

  • The driver signing for Windows is not only a Security issue as in virus's can masquerade as drivers, but a quality issue. Which would you have, a driver signed by MS or related company that's gone through tests of the drivers (WHQL) or a 3rd party no name that's questionable driver support. So give me a freakn break about driver signatures even OSX has software signatures from programs.

  • Personally, I'd like for them all to not sign the signatures. It's my damn system so they shouldn't give a shit what I did on it, they got my money after all.

Signing drivers just from companies would be a better deal (to quality ensure them), as well as on request from 3d party sources, but if I want an unsigned 3d party driver, it's really non of their business.

  • Ok first off you can allow 3rd party drivers not signed, Iminurcomputorz. It's in system properties under Hardware Tab called Driver Signing. You can change it to however you want or just turn it off. So this "Driver Signing" isn't even an issue. I've had ATI drivers not driver signed and worked fine, so no... MS isn't going to stop you from installing a third party driver, but driver signing is like a certification that these drivers are tested and be the most compatible.

  • I haven't tried 7 so I didn't know, but the way you wrote your comment I thought that you couldn't install unsigned drivers (At least not without a hack). My bad.

  • Lots of gamers like custom drivers that have been customised to offer optimal performance in games, which won't be signed, or at least there's a VERY small chance they will be. I don't think it's really as big an issue as Emeek made it sound but I can see it being annoying for lots of users. I'm sure there's a way to turn it off, but the older way in XP of simply saying it's unsigned and may cause harm then asking you to go ahead may have been the better option.

  • snipurl com/rtqam

dated january 2009, outdated as hell

  • Microsoft really are shit lol, I can't wait for google's operating system. I will never use Microsoft ever again.

  • Google's operating system is a fucking Linux distro with a web browser.

    You really are a tool.

  • PS. The people in the article are as dumb as rocks.

  • Eric, you know what would be good...if you actually stopped reading other people's articles. You do have the ability to formulate your own opinion through your own experience because you're a smart guy, so why dont you just install Windows Vista or 7 on a spare machine and use it and tell us its faults through YOUR experience with it.

Its easy to just read an existing article but what does that get us? Nothing. We may as well skip your vids and just read the original.

  • He did. He installed it on his own machine natively, listen to the start of the video :)

  • To turn off driver signing without a reg hack simply reboot your computer, press f8 and select start without enforcing driver signatures.

  • I love OS X. I love your video. But I really like Windows 7. It's a huge improvement over Vista and from my experience, it's not this slow on my MacBook.

  • In the description of the video you say

[Stay tuned for my next video "The Linux Letter Part 1". ]

    I'm looking forward to it.

I hate Windows Media Player also. OS X had sleep and hibernation issues too, however I believe it's been fixed.

  • Well, I have Vista hooked back up to boot camp on my beefy iMac. Windows Media Player is fine to me, and it's easy to use as long as you don't mind clicking a tab to show it's contents like options for media sharing and burn and rip discs.

  • Nice video I like the commentary as many other videos just have captions

  • And there's only 6 versions of windows 7

  • only 3 the public consumers can really buy themselves.

Of course it does not matter because mac fanboys are always right.

  • My windows 7 boots up in 28 seconds. And windows 7 was faster than OS X for me. And for me snow leopard crashes for than 7. Eric your full of shit

  • Nice video.. Totally agree

  • OMFG!!! microsoft is fucking retarded.

  • Just wait till the release to test it, then blow all you want about it. I've used it, and it currently stands in my opinion as the best version of Windows yet created.

  • It's the best version of Windows maybe, but compared to OS X and some distros of Linux it's still not quite there (in terms of ease of use and so on, not so much number of apps made for it). That's my expereince and opinion at least. As far as Windows goes it's a step in the right direction and one they really should have taken long ago, but under the shiny exteriour it's still Windows.

  • Linux is not quite there at all. It has a good base, but there's no fancy technology under the hood, and much of it is a glitchfest, and it's community supported, so nobody is obligated to help you if you have a problem.

Windows has certain things that keep up, like the most advanced graphics engine, most software support, support for virtually any hardware. It's not in the stone age like people want to believe. The stone age is Unix.

  • The hardware vendors support that hardware, not Microsoft. Windows has a generic driver profile that each kind of hardware uses and is supposed to run on by default before a specific driver is installed to unlock all the extra features, like how you can plug a printer in and it'll likely work, but if most likely won't let you use the built in scanner too. Pretty much everything but Windows is based on or is UNIX, so you can't tell me everyone else has to be wrong and only Microsoft are right?

  • Unix is garbage.

  • LOL! That's one of the most ignorant comments I've seen in a long long time in these kind of discussions. UNIX is the most stable, secure and powerful OS foundation in existence. It's used in more or less everything. What do you think Linux is based on? Or OS X? Or Solaris? Or BSD? UNIX runs the world in some form or another, and I mean that in a literal sense. It runs the backends of everything you hold dear in life outside of friends and family. What do you think this very site is running on?

  • Well, Windows has support for virtually any hardware made. Whether that be Microsoft's doing or the hardware vendors, you can't say the same about OS X. By hardware I meant more in terms of chips and cards and stuff.

I'm not saying that DOS is better then Unix, but I think it's time somebody made something new. Come on, ls, cd, mkdir? That shit is before the GUI existed. It's time for a change.

  • Yet ironically it still works better than NT does.

  • No, Nt is much superior to Unix, if you believe otherwise you are obvious a stupid *nix worshiper or a mac fanboy. either one. Just because Microsoft creates something it does not mean its crap. the highest uptimes on netcraft are Windows Machines, not Unix, not linux, not Plan 9 either.

  • I was actually very surprised when I first learned that the technology in advanced operating systems dates back to the 1960's. And these Operating Systems are doing a good job. But isn't it time for a change? All technology is moving forward at such a rapid pace, and we still have computers that take a minute to start up and crash if you run too many applications. I would say it's time for change. Let the old 60's-90's tech die already.

  • Which Unix? when it was being developed by AT&T it was not secure, stable, and sucked at networking. its the worst foundation especially with Windows. It has great Ideas but it Does not mean Unix is good itself as an OS. Windows Nt is much superior than Unix in every way. Windoes Ce also runs your Atm machines. Bsd does not use that old crappy At&T code. Original Unix is garbage. pure and simple. I mind as well advocate Dos Or NT, because its more useful than Unix.

  • Hmm. I've got Win7 64bit on a C2 Quad (4Gs of RAM) and so far its been a blast as far as Windows goes. I only screamed in pain a few times while mucking about with it. Not sure how games will play since that's all I use Win PCs for but I'll still use my Mac for everything else.

Although W7 looks like Vista I've found W7 to be less annoying than V but more annoying than XP for GUI experience. I don't want to have to re-learn where all the shite is kept and that's my main stress point for M$.

  • I HATE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER!!!!!!

Hibernation is useless. Its does as much as sleep does.

  • Slow boot up? The fucking OS booted up faster than an ipod touch, just search

"Boot-Time Windows 7 vs iPod Touch"

  • Microsoft is stupid, 7 versions of windows? Wtf is that? and its more expensive than snow leopard.

  • wtf? you know there is about 7 versions of Mac OS. lol

  • Those are incremental upgrades of different times. What he is talking about is that 7 different choices that will mainly confuse potential consumers. 3 different versions of windows for the consumer alone. I understand maybe 3 across the board. With Apple you get Leopard and thats it. 2 years later new version snow leopard. And each version at the time had all features. You are getting OSX ultimate every time a new versions comes out while being cheaper Than windows.

  • About 7 Versions of OSX, But MS decides to release 7 of ONE!!!! Windows.

OSX would be compared to windows the same way, OSX..... leopard, tiger, cheetah, etc.

Windows XP, VIsta, 7 Me, then you have to count the bullshit versions of those... Pro, Ultimate, starter, home premium, student, buisness, media center (for some).

  • No there isn't, not of the same release. There's two at any one time. The server and client version. Apple just name their OS's differently. OS X is based on 1 foundation and all incremental upgrade since are also based on this foundation, so it's called OS X (10). When they change that foundation again, it'll be OS 11, then we'll get improvements to that as OS 11.1, 11.2 and so on. Microsoft release several versions of the same release which does nothing but confuse most users.

  • Amazing vid emeek *****

  • Emeek, your number 2 point of going from XP - Win 7 is not fair. Granted, you can go from Tiger to Snow Leopard...you have to pay 170 dollars to do it.

  • no you don't, It's already been proven that the $30 snow leopard disc is the FULL version of SL. so suck it

  • I stand corrected...cocksucker.

  • But it's illegal though. Apple does not bother putting licencing security cuz they know people who buy apple are rich, aka can afford mac and its OS

  • Macs start at $600

$600 for a computer isnt expensive for even someone working at minimum wage.

  • Very Nice! please do make it a weekly series. I enjoyed it a lot, and am sure i'm not the only one.

  • Windows doesn't crash here either, but then again, I know what I'm doing. Enjoy your bootcamp, it's there for a reason durr.

  • doesn't imovie '08 crash every time you sneeze.

  • Gee, a beta version isn't rock solid stable? Who would have guessed that.

  • i hate it when poeple lie and say there pc never crashed in years like i said i had a dual-core AMD pc with 4 gigs of ram it crashed every 30 minutes or so randomly and i had to send an errror report. most people who hate macs have never even touched one we hate oc because weve owned them before.

  • Just because it happens to you doesn't mean it happens to everyone, I've never had my system crash only applications, chiefly betas, and macs are not crash prof my mac mini has crashed a few times.

  • holy crap, i love steve balmer.

  • dude i love ur movies it makes me laugh so hard bec u are so right

  • "No upgrade install from XP"

No upgrade install from tiger to snow leopard either.

  • you can upgrade from Tiger to SL

  • Not without a clean installation.

  • not without refornatting.

  • Lmao, most of the people that are subscribed to you are Windows Fanboys!!

    Hahahahah.

  • more from FSF org

no one wrote you these letters. These arent to you they are from fsf.

  • technically he's right, he subscribed to FSF, and they sent him the monthly newsletter ...LMAO

  • Maybe your hardware is shit, mate?

Windows 7 has been amazing for me. I've literally never had any lock up on a homebuilt machine that is already 3 years old at this point. Not as fast as XP, but faster than Vista on the same hardware. Win7 RTM is fantastic.

  • Black Part:

    1. It is consistent...don't know what the fuck are you talking about

    2. 7 and XP are to different

    3. Nobody need to eject any device on Windows...maybe you need to do this on OS X...don't know...

    4. Desktop Gadgets WIN...

    5. I tried iTunes 9 yesterday...it is just SHIT...WMP is fast, simple, easy...just gives you the best UX

    6. It works everytime

    7. Easy to use...but everybody just uses the search box...

  • iTunes 9 = win, easiest damn things to use EVER

Gadgets = Rip off of Widgets

My Win XP crashes, Intel Pentium 4, 3.1GHz BUS with two high spec 512mb RAM chips (Totaling 1GB).

My Grandad's & Friend's Vista laptops freeze and crash and they were purchased within the last 2 years

  • @DismissalOnline

they were probably visiting porn sites a lot

  • Totally 8-) My Grandad just uses his laptop to send emails to our family in New Zealand and watch the BBC iPlayer

  • its cool to know that your grandad uses a computer

    :)
