Binder should be used for a large or commercial area. Not fun to shovel!!! I like to get on the asphalt sooner with a little roller for a better press.
Seems to me that a binder coat isn't needed. Generally this work is done with crushed rock like 5/8" minus and for a residential like this only 2" of asphalt should be needed unless it's seeing heavy use like an RV.
Being that Asphalt is about 5-6 times the cost of crushed rock it seems like this is just an extra expense that the homeowner is paying to rectify the contractors lack of proper grade work.
That driway is good for condominiums and for cars with leaking oil,but it's not aesthetic.The stamped concret is more beautiful for a house.But this company work good.Good job.
