I live in simi valley about 20-30 miles from the epicenter. So it wasnt that bad but after not having an earthquake for a long time, it just gets your nerves rattling and your adrenaline pumping. We really have to prepare for the big one before its too late!!
I keep telling myself I'm going to make an earthquake kit, but I haven't done it yet. My first earthquake was at the ballet and I thought ,"wow, for such an old theater, they have some really high tech seats that vibrate." I'm an east coast girl, what did I know. Glad you're safe. Do you have an earthquake kit?
Glad you are okay. You look great btw! I lived in northern CA for 4 years and I experienced a couple of earthquakes. They are interesting and exciting if all you do is shake. I hope it never gets much worse. I will stick with my hurricanes as we get warnings for them, lol, and I am a chicken!!
I have never been through a hurricane, only tropical storms, winter storms, and tornadoes. Natural wonders are so exciting when there are no injuries or damage. I miss the midwest thunderstorms and lightning, I dont get to see mny of those any more :)
Yeah I love an evening summer thunderstorm assuming there are no injuries but trust me, you don't want to witness a hurricane. We had a category 2 and it was bad enough. Lost power for days and lots of damage and flooding locally. We faired well though.
When I was watching Home Alone 2 in Maria's room, the room all of a sudden moved a bit. It lasted for only 5 seconds. Laughing My Freaking Butt Off!

Everyone and everything made it, except my coffee which spilled on my blackberry. I had to take it apart and let it dry out :)
