@barrybilt - The only limitation in file compatibility is what files your device allows you to use. So if your phone, tablet or other device can play AVI files then the Mobidapter will help you to do this. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks for your comment. Yes it will, however you would be limited by the maximum memory size accepted by the device - i.e. if your phone accepts a micro SD of up to 32GB, you would only be able to view this portion of an HDD.

Totally badass! The only improvement I could wish for is the micro sd card portion to connect by wires (dongle style), because the adapter box prevents this from connecting to some phones.

The Mobidapter can only be used with USB memory and not other types of USB device. This is because most mobile's SD slots can only handle memory and are not able to control USB devices.

Yes, you can transfer files in both directions -

USB stick to phone and phone to USB Stick. You can put videos on it and transfer them to a PC.

The maximum capacity usable is the maximum capacity of Micro SD memory card that the phone can accept (see your phone's specifications to confirm).

The Mobidapter is currently only for use with phones with Micro SD slots. A future release of an M2 / Sony Ericsson compatible version is possible so watch this space!
