Frankly, I CAN'T see why Humma would want one of those. Maybe if he was leading a small cult, but as a high priest in the primary religion of an entire planet, shouldn't that be enough to satisfy him?
I love this movie and the details that go into its universe, but I HATE how they rebuild the Earth to the point just before it demolition. The idea was to rebuild Earth circa 10 million years B.C., but the tedium of doing THAT all over again is what drives the mice to take out Arthur's brain.
@erinmay94 I know right! My friends when we were watching this said that only i would notice that. I'm bit of a apple geek. I wonder if Steve Jobs know...(?)
I want that gun!!! LOL Jeff Foxworthy once speculated that women handle the language better. After all, you never see a man leaving a room crying while a woman says, "What? What did I say?"
@urpwnned A towel is the most incredibly useful thing a hitchhiker can carry, watch the variety of things they use them for throughout the film, which is just a fraction of its possibilities. For example Arthur uses his as a scarf when he's freezing.
Ford is so cool because he really knows where his towel is.
the amount of imagination in this film is fantastic. really, i watch lots and lots of movies and normally i should not like this movie because its quite stupid. but unknowingly, its a movie you enjoy watching. also this film has amazing visual effects that you don't normally see in comedy movies because comedy films are low budget. this one cost 45 millions dollars to make.
this movie is sooo fricken different from the books!!!!! It's annoying in some bits, but kind of interesting in others :) I still think the books are better tho, as with all books :)
hehe, I like how they showed the planet factory, its almost like something I imagined while reading the book... However most of the rest is crap.. Except the Marvin, I like him here!
Betelgeuse is an interesting stars for humans to come from, for our planet program by Deep Thought. Myself is from another time & place, not of this world, the words I use for my race and citizenship provokes much anger as I am not from Earth; I stay on Earth because I like the computers, beer, gin, whiskey, and women; I feel like I should have been a cowboy. Good stuff though, from Deep Thought; I am not responsible for the Giraffe, but have served some of Earths armed conflicts.
@BBknickers In the book, the earth ends 5 minutes before the experiment is finished, so it wasn't fully completed, but they can still get the info, so you have a point. In the books, they use his brain for later on, but the movie is very inaccurate.
