Guarantee you he doesn't just 'stand in front of the net' as you say, because anyone who plays hockey knows that it's impossible to cherry pick because you WILL be hit if you're in front of the goalmouth. Is he as flashy as Lemieux or Gretzky? No. Because this day in age, where trap defense is huge and gun n' run hockey is out, Crosby is playing a different kind of game. Tell me why other players who 'stand in front of the net' aren't as successful as Sid or Ovechkin.

You're right, Ovechkin would rather his shot fall into Fleury's glove, like in game 7, or try to throw a hit and bowl over his own player, or turn the puck over to Sid while Crosby proceeds to score on the ensuing breakaway, or fall on his ass while trying to shoot the puck in the winter classic. Ovechkin is a great player, but don't try to act like he's better than Crosby, especially if Crosby burned him in their most important head to head matchup so far.
