yes i have dilogni espresso grinder now for long cost me 74 dollers not that model when i put on espresso setting grind it cums out little coures why is that help me can i fix that
I agree that it was never going to be completely even because it is 2 different grinders. What it allowed me to do was to seperate the course grinds from the 2. I was able to see that the grinds from the Delonghi were more varied than those from the Sunbeam. The Delonghi had flakes that were about 5 times the size of the smallest course ground it produced. There was a lot of them also, not just 1 or 2. So while the sieve proved nothing, it allowed me to see why the Sunbeam is a better grinder.
Very nice review overall! I would much rather have the sunbeam on my counter than the Delonghi. and overall think that the Sunbeam would make a better cup. Its also the little thinks like the auto mode that i think make it a better choice.
This experiment is open to experimenter bias.

I'll just have to take your word for it. I got rid of the Sunbeam grinder a longgggg time ago. Replaced with a Mazzer.

What does the sieve prove? How can you have consistency between the two if you've got 2 different grind settings on 2 different grinders.

the Delonghi will give darker grinds because it grinds very fast causing two problrms;
1) The beans will become statically charged and stick to the plastic container
2) It has a tendency to get the burrs much hotter and burn the beans - hence them being darker.
Good to hear that you are happy with your new grinder though.

Thanks joellawry. Thought it had something to do with the grinding speed. Thanks for the insight.
