  • Does the Prt Scr button work?

  • @MrBrander It can be made to save an image of the calculator screen, but that functionality is not present in the demo application shown.

  • Wouldn't you need an external power source for a mouse or keyboard? the 4x 1.5v batteries just give 6v to the calculator. A keyboard or mouse it self requires 5v. I don't see any extra wiring. Doesn't make sense. . .

  • @casey321b The wiring is inside the calculator. A 5.1v Zener diode provides the necessary drop from the calculator's battery.

  • @KermMartian This makes more sense.

  • @thaGkillah wow immature much ?

You are just proving my point that you are just the typical youtube troll. You should have been swallowed and not conceived.

  • What remix of Under Pressure is this?

  • i think ur doorbell rang at 1:35

  • could I do this on an TI-84+ ? This is pretty nifty!

  • @kennytheamazing You could indeed do this on an 84+, but it would be easier to use a TI-83+, Doors CS 7, and Jerry v0.1: cemetech. net/programs/index.php?mode=file&path=/83plus/asm/shells/modules/jerry.zip

  • @KermMartian thanks for the links, I was unaware of this shell, or any proper programming base except for ASM geeks. I'll be looking into this :)

  • can you play gta IV on max resolution?

  • @thaGkillah get out of here troll

  • please please upload the ps/2 mod please

  • To all those saying this is a fake based on statements like that the PS/2 connector isn't plugged in at around 0:20...

The reason it seems to not be connected is because the female PS/2 plug extends out of the chassis, because it doesn't fit if the entire contact was to be within it. You don't see the contact becsuse the mettal shielding hides most of it, but if you go to the project web site, there are pictures of just the contact with nothing plugged in.

  • And, a contact doesn't float in the air like that if it's unplugged. Look at the shadow, and especially the keyboard contact at 1:18.

  • I know your project was not just a fake, but if the video was by someone else with no name i would call it like that.

The problem: all you showed could be a fake cause it would be much easier to write a programm that outputs what you can see on the screen...so i think the video is no good evidence for the truth ;-)

i just believe you because i know more than this video of the project ;-)

  • you guys just did something awesome xD, did you hard-mod it on the motherboard, or did you link a cable to the I/O port? cause even i could have done that, and then write an application reading the X and Y and drawing a cursor there.

  • kewl~

  • I like TI's because of what you can do with them.

The world is almost complete now........

  • grEAT SONG/viDEO

    uNDER pRESSURE BY qUEEN

  • Not as good as Ice Ice Baby would have been by vanilla ice. I was really hoping it was that song when the video started.

  • OMG man the Ti nspire has all those features, and the Ti 89 Titanium is Ti's most powerful graphing calc.

  • lal no the ti-92 and ti-92 plus and voyager has qwerty keyboards

  • and the voyage 200 too

  • this is pretty sweet are you gonna officially release these drivers?

  • it's real. I downloaded the drivers to my friend's 83p (without him knowing)

  • No, this is real. this guy actually added PS/2 ports to his 83, and they worked right. It was featured on lifehacker, or slashdot, or gizmodo. one of those sites

  • Yeah, Isn't hard to fake such a thing. I got a wireless keyboard, lights glow when u hit caps lock, etc. All you need to do, Cut a old PS2 cable, simply stick it into a screw hole (unscrew screw first) place the plug near calculator (that wasn't even connected) Very easy. xD

  • i love it whn ppl think they're detectives and need to prove things r real or fake. If you had a life, you woulldn't need to tlk about other irrelevant crap. And for heaven's sake people! It's a calculator, there's no need for it to do anything else. DAMN!

  • and if you had a life you wouldn't even be watching this , HA, YOU DOUCHE, i bet you just bag on other people on youtube.

  • problem is you watched it too

  • Er. Nevermind. Ran my mouth off before looking again. It is, in fact, wired, it just isn't plugged in. Nice catch.

  • This is fake because the mouse is not plugged in at :20 and the keyboard might not be plugged in. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm??????

  • You do realize there are such things as wireless mice?

  • do you realize there there was a wire on it

  • You do realize that PS/2 mice aren't wireless.

  • You do realize that you missed my second comment in which I retracted my statement.

  • This is fake for a few reasona that I can see, pause it at :19 or :20 and you can see that the cord on the mouse is not plugged in, yet it still works . Hmmmmmmm????? Also, the keyboard is not plugged in it looks like, either.

  • nitpicker

  • coool

  • such a waste ,

  • point?

  • that eats batteries...

  • can u buy that calculator and accecoirs in the netherlands too?

  • Dude fuck you, ya pice of shit, i for one think its cool and i am the leest bit nerdy, and why the fuck are you looking at this video anyway if its so nerdy

  • watch your language; KermMartian's here.

at 00:19 look at the PS/2 port its unplugged.

  • lol ya its fake i suppose

  • fuck shit, where do you get a mouse???

    wtf?

  • Awesome.

  • Why MIDI music??

  • cool!!!

    Is there a tutorial for putting a ps/2 port in a ti-83??

we need those next year in school and m planning on modding it "a little"

  • No tutorial yet, but it's some really easy wiring. I'll post it eventually.

  • Turns out we need a TI-84

  • *crickets*

  • no shit sherlock

  • Please Answer|:

Can you actually do this by just converting the cable to satisfy the calculator?... please say yes...

  • this is art! incredible..

  • noooo it's under pressure. get it right. geeze. =)

  • Vanilla Ice is an idiot, listen to the police instead (real song and better).

  • That wasn't Vanilla Ice.... that was Queen "Under Pressure." Vanilla Ice got sued because he used the same riff...

  • Whats the point in having a Calculator if your hook it up like a computer? If you have the Calculator at your house then just use the damn computer...whos going to carry a mouse and keyboard with them? haha

  • I think the good thing about this is that if you have a portable keyboard...the ones that fold...you can hook it up and have more functionality for games!!!

    More Buttons equals more options!

and the mouse would be great.

By the way guys did you guys put up like a blog on how you did everything? Another question how do you make drivers for the calc?

    -GN

  • Isn't the Voyage 200 better??

  • PIMP MY CALCULATOR!

  • You get mad geek cred!

  • i <3 queen :)

  • eat a goat pet a goat that is all i have to say about this video

  • hmm i have TI83+ also, how do you do that lol

  • Yay for vanilla ice :P

  • don't ever say "yay for vanilla ice"

  • *Cough* Queen *Cough*

  • lol its under pressure by queen

    vanilla ice stole the riff

  • I know that very well hence the :P which from me means basicly "I am mocking this even though I know it was actually the beat to a queen song"

  • lol ok

  • wow. you are a nerd. get a life and start banging chicks, not getting rammed in the ass.

  • Very nice :)

  • Do I sense a hint of jealousy? Have fun flipping those burgers man.

  • XD at first I thought it was a MIDI of "Vanilla Ice".

  • ahhhha i thoguht the same thing

  • Same, umm, background I guess. Of those two songs. That's why. "Dundundun d-d-dun dun"

  • Cool calculator. Love your taste in music as well. Under Pressure = awesome.

  • Yes, but can it view porn?

    Didn't think so...

  • Well, it can't view porn, but it can play video games like Mario and Zelda, and you can save test answers onto it.

  • How sure are you that it can't...? :)

  • I was kidding. Its a cool calculator. I remember programming games into my TI-83/4's back in high school. Good times, good times.

  • lol

  • That is so geeky.. but using a MIDI files is just plain oldschool über geekness :D

  • MIDI??!! NO WAY!!!

  • Thanks everyone. :)

  • that is so COOL! Great Job on it KermMartian!

  • The midi is the best part of this

  • lol true that

  • MIDI is the best part of everything. ;)
