  • my brother in law is very concerned about my appearance of the side effects of abilify...he says that abilfy only works good on a few amount of ppl. i took one today but ill never take it again....without any medication its not easy to live but so be it..i was born without and i will die without

  • @Helmjolk yea it's hard to tell. It probably has different effects for different people. You just have to figure out what is best for your situation, which isn't always easy. your phyciatrist should know a lot about this stuff and can hopefully help you out.

  • This drug is crap. Abilify treats people better without the nasty side effects.

  • @dawgpound4501

can i ask a question? i feel lots better with zyprexa but i know its a harddrug which will not really solve my problems, i also got abilify now but i dont feel anything, can you maybe describe for me the use of it? my psychiatrist also said that it works the best of all anti psychotics, but im not really convinced, or is it that i dont notice the good working of it, because i dont notice the nasty side effects? maybe a weird question but thanx in advance

  • @Helmjolk yea zyprexa was kinda weird for me. It kinda worked for me in some ways but it almost made me somewhat emotionless. Its hard to explain. Plus i gained a lot of weight when i was on it. With the abilify i feel like the emotion part of the brain is not blocked at all. I'm more outgoing and i just feel like myself. The zyprexa made me feel like a different person. Yea the drugs work differently. From what i understand the zyprexa blocks certain things that abilify doesn't block

  • @Helmjolk also yea the zyprexa blocks more of a certain thing to the brain that abilify doesn't block. I''ll have to look that up so i can tell you what it is cause i forget. I think this explains why i feel more like myself while on abilify and have more emotions and stuff. Also i'm on a very good combination of prozac and abilify. This combination works great for me. Some people are different though. With zyprexa i always felt somewhat tired too. plus with abilify i can thinkstraight

  • @dawgpound4501

    thnx

i quit zyprexa now for a month, and today when i read ur comment, i grabbed my abilify, which was just laying there for half a year and i never took it...

now i took one (10mg) i feel a little difference , i think a bit relaxer but my heart hurts?

  • @dawgpound4501

my heart hurts a little ,is this only in the beginning until my body gets used to it? or is this forever?

  • she forgot to say these pills make you fat

  • @niggagunz

yeah even i who never have weigh over 70 kilo's

zyprexa lets me eat 3x more(this can NEVER be good for u and ur stomach)

im trying not to take it for the last weeks although my autistic, schizo and borderline appearances are high now...im trying to get myself under controll

  • Eli Lilly Zyprexa suits

They called it the *Five at Five* (5 mg at 5 pm to keep nursing home patients subdued and sleepy) and *VIVA ZYPREXA* (Zyprexa for everybody) campaigns to off label market Eli Lilly Zyprexa as a fix for unapproved usage. Big Pharma companies that have relied on fraud to market industry's worst pharmaceuticals--antipsychotic drugs--which have become industry's most profitable cash cow. ---

  • i took zyprexa for 2 periods, ive stopped both times due to side effects. not the ones mentioned though. during both periods on this drug, the longer i took it, and the more the dose was increased, the more i had suicidal thoughts. now this doesnt seem to be the norm with this drug, well, not to my knowledge at this time. but it does highlight the fact different drugs can have different reactions with each individual.

  • I don't want diabetes, or a heat attack...or a stroke! Dx

  • "The side effects of Zyprexa, which is an anti-depressant that treats bipolar disorder or manic-depressive psychosis, include diabetes and high cholesterol. " I believe this medication is actually an atypical or novelty antipsychotic, not an antidepressant - atleast that's the drug classification this drug falls into, and now there is a generic form of Olanzapine. Also the more expensive medication for psychosis is Clozaril which makes Zyprexa look like a Flintstone Vitamin when comparing s/e.

  • This Woman is done, i can see

  • I'm screwed!

  • people are so uninformed about health problems, its unbelievable.

The only answer most people know is to turn to big pharma companies that just make bullshit pills.

It's all about RAW organic herbs and foods people! WE are humans and our planet has everything imaginable for us to ingest and benefit from her!

Do research on natural alternatives people!

  • @Nenshati19 stick your herbals up your arse. They don't work and if they did, doctors would be prescribing them.

  • does it treat cshizophrenia aswell?

  • I used to take Zyprexa. On of the side effekts witch was under 1 of 10000 is sudden death and much more shit... I quit it after i wrote that. Dont start takin it, even if your therapist or whatever say you should.. If you have psychologic diseases. Got make a therapie.

  • @Badlawful I take zyprexa for bipolar disorder and it's been a wonderful support. I get to sleep every night and I don't have any more anxiety or psychotic episodes. I don't think you should be telling people not to take it.

  • i use to take zyprexa 10mgs ...i noticed i gained more weight from the drug ...i stopped the drug myself ...im now on xanax meds benzodiazepines to relax me it helps better except the withdrawls im 38 yrs old from cali

  • Recent studies on macaque monkeys have found that administration of haloperidol or olanzapine for about two years led to a significant overall shrinkage in brain tissue, in both gray and white matter across several brain areas, with lower glial cell counts, due to a decrease in astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, and increased neuronal density.

  • Hi, I am worried about you, You look stressed, you are also delusional, Those side effects are not new we knew about it for long years now!

There are much more problems from this drug then you are mentioning,

Anyhow you look stressed and your voice is a bit scratchy, i am worried, thought we should put you on 5 MG of Zyprexa, what do you say?

I think you are psychotic and delusional.

  • NO, Zyprexa is one of the worst drugs, it should be prescribed to war criminals like those in Eli-Lilly, Those people should be the only one to take this drug.

    Or, Simply destroy it.

  • i agree.

it did cause suicidal tendencies in the past but tragicaly when someone dies of suicide he/she is already dead and cant sue and those that knew him/her believe that he/she comited suiced for skipping dosage.

it fuck you up slowly but shorely.

how it works is as soon as you skip a dose cuz you went out drinking(i.e:do not mix with alcohool) you begin to deteriorate.

although some take it without a problem.

zyprexa should be banned and destroyed
