NJ aint no better guys ghost malls and office buildings, Apt buildings and homes and stores. Going Going and gone. The same for PA it is all going to hell.
This is an interesting video, and I have also heard about potential problems in commercial real estate.
Keep in mind though that this is a video made by a person or group that is selling gold, an inflation hedge. It's in their best interests to scare you about the economy. Doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong, but it means he has a vested interest.
It is called Monopoly. The really big banks cut the funds for the small banks. Creating a glut of properties undeveloped. Then the big banks can buy or foreclose on the properties at pennies on the dollar. Same thing happend under Regan to a much lesser degree.
Hate to disabuse of the notion that NC is in good shape, but I was in NW NC last week (lenoir) and they have higher unemployment than Detroit. The folks there were telling me that they have the highest unemployment in the nation.
I live in Southern NJ and tons of empty commercial real estate is popping up all over the place (e.g. strip malls, shopping malls, office space). Trends researcher Gerald Celente and author Michael J. Panzner have warned of a commercial real estate collapse and that it will be worse than the mortgage meltdown because of all the leverage that was involved.
While it must be painful for the business owners I feel it's not such a bad thing, we need to stop pissing away what little cheap oil there is left on concreting over perfectly arable land to build soon to be worthless suburban sprawl on it
Well LA did it to themselves. Google "Malibu surfer problem"
•Many rich millionaires (especially those who inherited their wealth rather than earning it) can live off the money produced by their investments without having to do any actual work.
•Modern welfare systems give money to unemployed members of society. The question is thus what would happen if a recipient of such money decided to " surf all day" rather than look for a job.
Malibu surfer problem is all LA is. People not working and trying to become famous. If Hollywood leave CA for Canada you will see only foreigners left
You can't move to Canada. I'm a Canadian citizen living in the USA and when I went back to Canada even the bureaucrats gave me a difficult time when I was trying to renew my social security #, etc. Sorry guys, but I hate to tell ya, you can't just "move" to Canada if you're not a citizen, you would have to prove a dire "refugee status" to be able to stay.
Newsweek's new cover story is "The Recession is Over", they forgot to subtitle it "The Depression has Just Begun".
With unemployment still climbing to 1930's levels, and no incentive for anyone with capital to start or expand a business (thanks Obama) the end of this is a long way off. In fact, we may have a "reboot" of our entire way of life (not for the better).
The commercial real estate loan default tsunami is gaining strength. The FED will continue to try and bail out the banksters.
Yeah, most people think we're "coming out" of a depression. On facebook, all of m friends are just posting nonsense and triviliaties about their day to day life, like, "oh, I had a drink just now" or "my head hurts" etc. etc. They aren't even THINKING.
What a waste of natural resources. They should at least allow habitat for humanity to strip all the wood and other materials for building homes people need.

George, when I get a whole day or a couple days to myself, I'm going to go around and show you what they did around here. So many strip malls that fail and useless walls being constructed with useless benches... the lists go on, all failure.

No they put up shit we don't need Strip malls and Office parks.
LOL - primarily was a joke, as if there were to be a recovery, G4T main theme would be lost.
But there is no real recovery soon - the banks will simply inflate there assets to meet liabilities, and how badly they distort the economy to prop themselves up is irrelevant to them.
This is easy, we're fucked. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I would like to take this opportunity to remind the debt slaves that their job is to shut the fuck up and suck it up. Remember, your government has your best interest at heart, even if it kills you. You can get to be one of the elite if you remove your conscience and follow this motto "If at first you don't succeed, keep sucking". Don't forget to support the career whore of your choice, after all this is a democracy. LOL
Ghost buildings, ghost malls, ghost subdivisions, etc.... The half finished stuff will have to be torn down.
The commercial real estate defaults are the banksters dirty "little" secret. They have dumped some of the toxic loans on the FED. The FED has become the outhouse where the banksters dump their crap.
The dollar is falling at a pretty good pace right now. China is here to talk about their "investment" in the US Tbonds. It is getting interesting.....
California longshoreman refused to load & unload military gear et al. That President had an R by his name. But the rottten bastards kept unloading cheap Chinese junk. Poisoned pet food, lead conaminated toys, etc. American jobs leaving the country with every boat load they dumped. The NAFTA Superhighway reaches from Mexico City to Canada. What those longshoreman going to do for a job when it is complete? Unload boats in Puerto Villa?
George, i say this all the time, but you are doing a great service here...we hear these stories in the MSM superficially, but you really drove the point home when you actually provide a visualization to this commercial real estate mess...Keep up this great work, and hopefully you will inspire others from other parts of the US and around the world to bring some light to their area...If i had your skills, I would do the same here in the Bahamas, with all the empty hotels and casinos that are here!
Donald Trump sure is wearing a brave face...I wonder when he's going to go bankrupt in this fucking retail building mess?...that will be pretty sweet seeing the mighty FALL*
What is happening is just the beginning. Once the dominoes begin to fall, the whole market and our economy will come crashing down. I would not be surprised to see 25% unemployment (U3) this time next year with (U6) reaching 40%. Martial law will quickly follow as food riots startt to rip cities apart. In 2011, we'll see one or more American cities burn. The sheeple will wail and gnash their teeth... and the wolves will prey upon them... and the sheeple will have to beg us sheep dogs for help.
why some ppl always have to bring chinese and Arab into this issue ? It's easy to blame it on someone, but only those who are brainless don't know their governments gave away all the taxpayer's money to the CEO of the Goldman, GM....big saving plan or wat?
Nice landscaping at that Office building. I would be willing to bet that in short order these building start to be dismantled by thieves, getting the Palm trees, gutting the wiring & metals & in no time flat this building will look like Stalingrad circa 1942.
Incredible to think that millions of Dollars were spent on building materials, fuel in manufacturing & transporting to the assembly area.
In what do we get for all this waste? Well we can marvel on the stupidity of some greedy people.
Your absolutely right, in 1995 I needed good credit and about $1000 bucks to rent a slum apartment. In 2007 I bought a house with nothing down, it was easier to get then when I tried to rent a slum apartment in 95. I also got my house refied down to 5.5 fixed thanks to Obama, fixing to buy a new Smart car with $4500 credit from guess who Uncle Sam.
Thanks Obama for the ReFi and The Goverment paying my downpayment on my new foreign car.
off the 91 fwy... watched them build it...all the sunprime loans companies are gone. banker boys...
keep driving west to Orange county they are all over the place...and getting worse..and the idiots are still building off the Five fwy in south OC...go north same thing off the 101 in North Ventura... Just open your eyes people.. welcome to the future of Taxifornia
I live in North Orange County, CA. It's amazing to see in my city alone how many properties are up for sale/lease. It's really sad to see. Not only are the companies or banks who own the building paying the price but the city doesn't collect property tax and the state sales tx. it ultimately ends up effecting the little guy in higher taxes probably.
i talk to a real estate agent and she told me that they are going to do more commercial and home building in the next coming weeks i was shocked she said it's funded by chase
A contractor purchased property that he was going to turn into a hugh industrial complex with homes attached near a park . He got the plumbing in an 1 structure . Have not seen any movement in 6 months . Everything starting to grow over .
My stepfather is a construction worker too (he also does drywall, etc.) and he doesn't have work. We live in San Diego. It's pretty bad here although no one will openly say so. They just want to pretend things are ok.
Im a 13 year drywaller and 5 year commercial drywall estimator , both residential and commercial construcion is dead here in the north east , Ive never seen anything like it , I know a 40 year drywaller thats never seen anything like it. The only thing I know is what is happening to the U.S. economy is no accident, "Audit the fed"
What is happening here has been planned for a long time by the NWO..it is meant to break US down to the point where we are desperate and crying for the government to seize control of everything. The Fed is a private company and should never have been given power over our money. Abolish the FED!! Check it out here on Y.T... the FED is a private company controlled by the world's super elite.
Unfortunately the vast majority of Americans STILL think that what you've said is a "conspiracy theory"....as hard as that is to believe. They really think it is.
All willing to be written off. If it does not make money in 90 to 120 days, drop it like a hot potato. It's a total loss at 180 days. Write off. I used to write off hundreds and thousands at tax time. After 180 days, it's worth more as a write off.
By the time the commercial bubble bursts, it should be round two for residential, then round 1 for credit cards. The house of cards has yet to fall. Lock in some gold/silver, store away food, and get ready for a rough time.
WOW, watching this from New England very insulated from this train wreak!

Maybe they could move those buildings
down to Mexico
Maytag just moved their manufacturing down there, smart move ,they can sell their appliances down there, at least they have jobs.
I don't think their going to need the parking structure though , most of them take the bus to work and don't have cars.
They could turn the property back to farm land, that could provide jobs for us since we don't have manufacturing anymore!

carlosjhr64 2 years ago
carolsjrhrs64, what makes you think there is going to be a recovery? You got any reason to belive that?
valhala56 2 years ago
LOL - primarily was a joke, as if there were to be a recovery, G4T main theme would be lost.
But there is no real recovery soon - the banks will simply inflate there assets to meet liabilities, and how badly they distort the economy to prop themselves up is irrelevant to them.
carlosjhr64 2 years ago
Carlos it reminds me of the AC DC song "Highway to Hell".
Maybe that should be the Theme song to the Obama administration.

Thanks for driving around and actually showing us this stuff George.

Yet, according to the elite, there are too many people in the world.

I see a lot of vacant CRE in my area, but 'Moffett Towers' (google it) takes the cake. 1.8M square feet of newly-built office space, VACANT.

Not a problem. Tax us at 95% and make us all live in tents. That should take care of it.

California should succeed. China then should go buy it, and move its population there to help the nation of California. Hawaii can tag along too.
mrzack888 2 years ago
George, i say this all the time, but you are doing a great service here...we hear these stories in the MSM superficially, but you really drove the point home when you actually provide a visualization to this commercial real estate mess...Keep up this great work, and hopefully you will inspire others from other parts of the US and around the world to bring some light to their area...If i had your skills, I would do the same here in the Bahamas, with all the empty hotels and casinos that are here!

Well, when the big earthquake happens the whole area will be pulled into the sea. Nobody will have to worry about all the vacancies then.

Well we can marvel on the stupidity of some greedy people.
valhala56 2 years ago 6
George your the best in this genre of YouTube videos, great sound effects boom boom boom.
I hope you can do a movie like the Inflation Nation on this subject.
It kind of bothers that the devolpers of this have not gotten thumped in the head for their incredible stupidity and wastefullness.
Were these developers so dense that they somebody didn't tell these dumbass's that these are nothing about albotross's?
No accountibility, just evebody getting their share of the pie & splitting.

The bubble goes on.

When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing -
When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors -
When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws dont protect you against them, but protect them against you -
When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice -
You may know that your society is doomed." Quote from Ayn Rand's, "Atlas Shrugged", 1957

What are the banks doing with all the defaulted credit card accounts that are exploding????
frontier1701 2 years ago 2
I'm guessing much of the banks are padded with bailout money.
I see a growing culture of people like George has suggested, abandoning payment on their credit cards.
You're talking about people that can't afford their mortgage and have been foreclosed--their credit is already shot.
As if they'll feel any guilt about owning un-secured debt to credit card companies?
What happens when everyone jumps ship? Hmmm...

So why not jump in with both feet?
Max out your credit cards by buying PMs, and then cut them up and give Chase, BoA, etc the finger?
You have real money, they have paper.
The faster we break the banks, the faster this system will reset equitably.

Elextacytheband 2 years ago 3
What is happening here has been planned for a long time by the NWO..it is meant to break US down to the point where we are desperate and crying for the government to seize control of everything. The Fed is a private company and should never have been given power over our money. Abolish the FED!! Check it out here on Y.T... the FED is a private company controlled by the world's super elite.
