  • WOW, watching this from New England very insulated from this train wreak!

  • Hmm, Barb and Nancy won re-election. And Jerry Brown is back out of the closet. Keep voting Democrat California. The flood of research and think tank industry into my little tiny underdeveloped red state is steady growth.

  • hope someone brake in and then they arrest you as a suspect..

  • Yea I really like this video and I just had to place a comment. I have already checked out your channel and I like what you are doing!

  • update?...please..

  • I remember touring this building back in 2005

  • Maybe they could move those buildings

    down to Mexico

Maytag just moved their manufacturing down there, smart move ,they can sell their appliances down there, at least they have jobs.

I don't think their going to need the parking structure though , most of them take the bus to work and don't have cars.

They could turn the property back to farm land, that could provide jobs for us since we don't have manufacturing anymore!

  • The inland empire (of los angeles) is in a tough position.

  • TORONTO IS BOOMING BUD

  • It's happening here in Toronto, Canada. The mass media here is completely lying to the public as well.

And our government is using subprime mortgages AKA Variable Rates to get people into gigantic mortgages.

    We are screwed.

  • Wow! this is insane!! So said to see!

i need to get a building for my photography business. I am not if i could move out to CA but I will look in other areas (NY and NJ)... I know I have to be careful about the property taxes, other tax, and other zoning issues.

  • No problem in New Jersey we are building warehouses planning many more. We are building condos anywhere we can stick them wetlands, flood plains, old forest remnants. CNN declaired to day the recession is over.

  • Wow this seems like a real problem that needs attention and ......Oh wait a sec. Football is on, and who got voted off Celeb danceing.

  • how come youu changed yous site from george 4 to inflation us without telling us

  • stuff is like this everywhere. Circuit City and Compusa went belly up here, and no one claimed the empty space yet. There are other "for lease" signs popping up all over too. Just who is going to occupy all this? NO ONE.

  • this is all the fault of the left and obama, if we had bush in office everything would still be growing!!

  • Wow that is pretty ignorant to say! It was the policies of Bush and Greenspan that lead to the artificial boom. The bust was unavoidable and Obama is only carrying on the same policies.

  • i was being sarcastic.

  • Wow...Its the same here in Missouri I drop off my sister at work, she works in an Industrial park area. I would say that 30% of the Industrail park had for sell signs up.

I just came back from living in Europe and i must say that we are in a deep depression here in America. I could feel it in the air! Wow...This is my Country???? If you live in it you can't see it. Its like when you live in a house that skink's you can't smell it until you go go and come back in!

  • a lot of folks in government jobs are getting laid off too. I know of several people who have to take several days off with no pay.

  • That's way in Islam and even in Christianity and Judaism, Usury (Interest) is forbidden. Only share and real investments are allowed. America will realize that later, but probably when it is too late.

  • Boom

  • those vacant apartments are a waste -- who in their right mind approved of those being built -- someone clueless I suppose. How long before those eyesores get razed? guess homeless people could get some relief in those if they are able to get in them.

  • America is in a tailspin. Look around your communities..you see business' comming in? When the best jobs out there are "civil service" jobs..cop/fireman/town employee...you know we are in serious trouble. Not everyone can be a M.D., Lawyer, or Wall street Guru. What is left? Liveable wage... No way! This is all planned by the NWO to destroy our hopes and dreams & make US desperate for the Socialist System. Hang onto your guns, bullets and butter...we will need them.

  • Construction workers need work, so they're building till the cows come home, hahaha.

  • TLDMdotorg ny

  • im a good looking guy and know my shhh

know when i ask someone for work in the union they look at me and get mad

thank god ive been prepreing for years.

because id be eating grass like a cow lol

    TLDNdotorg

  • NJ aint no better guys ghost malls and office buildings, Apt buildings and homes and stores. Going Going and gone. The same for PA it is all going to hell.

  • Same happening in Colorado Springs Colorado. I have lost track on the "Powers" corridor and Academy Blvd. of so many for lease signs.

  • Looks like greensboro North Carolina.

  • They can use all the vacant office buildings for housing when folks need it.

  • This is an interesting video, and I have also heard about potential problems in commercial real estate.

Keep in mind though that this is a video made by a person or group that is selling gold, an inflation hedge. It's in their best interests to scare you about the economy. Doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong, but it means he has a vested interest.

  • It is called Monopoly. The really big banks cut the funds for the small banks. Creating a glut of properties undeveloped. Then the big banks can buy or foreclose on the properties at pennies on the dollar. Same thing happend under Regan to a much lesser degree.

  • lol thats so close to where i live.. i drive passed it all the time

  • Great video. Next shoe is droping - Commercial Realestate. It ain't over till the derivatives mkt fall. Notional value is at least 591 Trillion.

  • I live in a part of Georgia that was left behind and there are commercial spots even here that are vacant.

North Carolina looks to be in pretty good shape though.

  • Hate to disabuse of the notion that NC is in good shape, but I was in NW NC last week (lenoir) and they have higher unemployment than Detroit. The folks there were telling me that they have the highest unemployment in the nation.

  • I live in Southern NJ and tons of empty commercial real estate is popping up all over the place (e.g. strip malls, shopping malls, office space). Trends researcher Gerald Celente and author Michael J. Panzner have warned of a commercial real estate collapse and that it will be worse than the mortgage meltdown because of all the leverage that was involved.

  • While it must be painful for the business owners I feel it's not such a bad thing, we need to stop pissing away what little cheap oil there is left on concreting over perfectly arable land to build soon to be worthless suburban sprawl on it

  • just dont give your guns up. Because if you do then they will start sending people to debitors prison

  • Well LA did it to themselves. Google "Malibu surfer problem"

•Many rich millionaires (especially those who inherited their wealth rather than earning it) can live off the money produced by their investments without having to do any actual work.

•Modern welfare systems give money to unemployed members of society. The question is thus what would happen if a recipient of such money decided to " surf all day" rather than look for a job.

  • Malibu surfer problem is all LA is. People not working and trying to become famous. If Hollywood leave CA for Canada you will see only foreigners left

  • You can't move to Canada. I'm a Canadian citizen living in the USA and when I went back to Canada even the bureaucrats gave me a difficult time when I was trying to renew my social security #, etc. Sorry guys, but I hate to tell ya, you can't just "move" to Canada if you're not a citizen, you would have to prove a dire "refugee status" to be able to stay.

  • Newsweek's new cover story is "The Recession is Over", they forgot to subtitle it "The Depression has Just Begun".

With unemployment still climbing to 1930's levels, and no incentive for anyone with capital to start or expand a business (thanks Obama) the end of this is a long way off. In fact, we may have a "reboot" of our entire way of life (not for the better).

The commercial real estate loan default tsunami is gaining strength. The FED will continue to try and bail out the banksters.

  • Yeah, most people think we're "coming out" of a depression. On facebook, all of m friends are just posting nonsense and triviliaties about their day to day life, like, "oh, I had a drink just now" or "my head hurts" etc. etc. They aren't even THINKING.

  • What a waste of natural resources. They should at least allow habitat for humanity to strip all the wood and other materials for building homes people need.

  • I live in tampa,fl, and it's the same story over here! why isn't cnn covering this stuff?! it's alot more serios than michael jackson!

it's so bad over here that i could make 1 hour documentary.

  • Business, as I have seen it, is way down here in Austin, but I must admit that I am not seeing anything like what you are showing in this video.

These kinds of informative videos about construction, businesses, homes, jobs, are what we want to be informed about. Thanks, George.

  • California is dying. I'm trying to convince my mom to sell her house (if possible) and get away, but she won't. Then again, during the wildfires, she and her husband were trying to put out the fire with a little hose. They will stay until the very bitter end bites them in the butt.

  • kinda impressed with this video G4T - thks

  • Thanks again !!!!!!!!!!

  • Thakx for the new real news. Ray from Newyork,

  • It's getting like that here, south of Dallas TX.

Lots of commercial property vacant. Along with NEW build commercial property.

    Great vid George.

  • Any chance you could make a video about that and post it here on utube?

  • George,

You are getting me all confused. It is announced to day in AP that the sales of NEW HOMES was up by 11% in June, the highest increase in 8 years WOW; causing the DJ to rise by almost 10 points. Are you shooting pasted paper model homes or using photoshop to fake those unsold homes in CA. You are demoralizing people who see home-run in a short 5 meter sprint.

Just kidding - you are doing a great job.

  • Biggest year ever at this time of year we sold 1,700,000 houses (2005) this past month 305,000. Big recovery.

    I know your joking.

  • Sacramento has the same thing going on all over the county and other counties around here. some centers are completely empty now.

  • wow

  • Looks like that local economy IS very conducive for TEEKERS & tha Tweeker lifestyle, eh George boy.....

  • powermousey,i used to work for IBM 5600 south cottle road right next to the train track on monterey road,it's been demolished alright, yellow equipments are moved in,FERMA got the contract to demolish those buildings,it's all fenced off, buildings i used to work in are completely wiped out,ten years i was there,i can still recalled my badge numbers ;))).There's new construction going up at the moment,i drove by the site almost every morning my my way to work...

  • yes, I remember my badge number too. I used to work at IBM and then Hitachi in the disk manufacturing. In building 4. =0) but hey, thats some good news that new construction is going up. Perhaps it would be good for some more Bread and Circuses in that area for Hitachi and San Jose to complete their stadium. More jobs for construction and workers and staff for all kinds of sporting events and other events at the stadium. More revenue for San Jose and CA State from die-hard event fans.

  • Sean Penn for governor, California is doomed!

  • Boom Boom...Boom Boom Boom

  • That is going to be the future admin building for the governor of California and his/hers Hollywood beurocrats. Your next governor will be Sean Penn. Gay rights and weed for everyone! WOOHOO!

  • got that boom boom boom.

  • Best place for dopers

  • Boom Boom Pow.

  • Great reporting. You don't see this on MSM. oh! that's right we're in a recovery!

  • These deserted office buildings, homes, and commerical stores are equivalent to the Ruins of Rome. Ruin buildings and statutes of past glories.

  • Come up North to the Bay Area. To see empty office commerical buildings in Fremont-Miliptas-Santa Clara-Sunnyvale even in San JOse. A Trillions of Dollars in another BUBBLE, thats going to brust!

  • Thats so True, vsaldanas.

Moved out of San Jose a few weeks ago.

Higher cost of living, fewer jobs available...including well paying jobs, increase in crime and traffic too.

And in the area of 5600 South Cottle Road: a deal between San Jose and Hitachi that fell thru with a uncompleted stadium, a few foundations for housing and apartments, non built PGE power and also police stations, and no improvements done for the light rail. At least the sidewalks are done and completed.

  • Mission Viejo, CA: every week within a one mile radius of my house, there is at least 1 new retail vacancy, usually more. Yet today's tv news is all about how the recession is over! OVER! Happy days are here again!

  • George, when I get a whole day or a couple days to myself, I'm going to go around and show you what they did around here. So many strip malls that fail and useless walls being constructed with useless benches... the lists go on, all failure.

  • There's no one there cuz they're headed East. I got new neighbors below me ... Cali plates. New neighbors in the complex across from me ... Cali plates. See a bunch of U-Hauls pulling cars on I-10 East-bound ... Cali plates.

I say, "Keep going East until you reach Washington. Then ask POTUS if you can move into the West wing." I mean, if they want to "care for us" in all aspects of life, then I'd like a little of that servan cookin and cleanin he's got goin on.

  • Robert what state are you in?

  • Arizona .. grew up in Texas, so I have family watching U-Hauls going through there, too.

  • LOL, I agree with you. They should all go to DC. Just CLOG the city so that the problem will be directly in the center of the country, and in the faces of all the politicians there.

  • they built it to give construction workers jobs, should have just paid them straight out...

  • No problem giving construction workers jobs, it all wouldn't have been a waste if they had put up solar panels, railroad trains, Nuclear plants. Things we need.

No they put up shit we don't need Strip malls and Office parks.

  • * * * * *

George, what are you going to do when the economy recovers?

    :))

  • carolsjrhrs64, what makes you think there is going to be a recovery? You got any reason to belive that?

  • LOL - primarily was a joke, as if there were to be a recovery, G4T main theme would be lost.

But there is no real recovery soon - the banks will simply inflate there assets to meet liabilities, and how badly they distort the economy to prop themselves up is irrelevant to them.

  • Carlos it reminds me of the AC DC song "Highway to Hell".

Maybe that should be the Theme song to the Obama administration.

  • Thanks for driving around and actually showing us this stuff George.

  • This is easy, we're fucked. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I would like to take this opportunity to remind the debt slaves that their job is to shut the fuck up and suck it up. Remember, your government has your best interest at heart, even if it kills you. You can get to be one of the elite if you remove your conscience and follow this motto "If at first you don't succeed, keep sucking". Don't forget to support the career whore of your choice, after all this is a democracy. LOL

  • This is the only News we are getting.

    Keep up the good work.

    We are in a NewsBlackout

  • They fale, then go to Government for a baile out.

We just have not got the bill yet. Just paied with fake money.

  • Ghost buildings, ghost malls, ghost subdivisions, etc.... The half finished stuff will have to be torn down.

The commercial real estate defaults are the banksters dirty "little" secret. They have dumped some of the toxic loans on the FED. The FED has become the outhouse where the banksters dump their crap.

The dollar is falling at a pretty good pace right now. China is here to talk about their "investment" in the US Tbonds. It is getting interesting.....

  • Yet, according to the elite, there are too many people in the world.

  • Live in Michigan, you want to talk about vacant malls and retail space.....its horrible.

  • California longshoreman refused to load & unload military gear et al. That President had an R by his name. But the rottten bastards kept unloading cheap Chinese junk. Poisoned pet food, lead conaminated toys, etc. American jobs leaving the country with every boat load they dumped. The NAFTA Superhighway reaches from Mexico City to Canada. What those longshoreman going to do for a job when it is complete? Unload boats in Puerto Villa?

  • I see a lot of vacant CRE in my area, but 'Moffett Towers' (google it) takes the cake. 1.8M square feet of newly-built office space, VACANT.

  • great reporting George...we are seeing the same in our area w/ lots of vacancies

  • Not a problem. Tax us at 95% and make us all live in tents. That should take care of it.

  • California should succeed. China then should go buy it, and move its population there to help the nation of California. Hawaii can tag along too.

  • George, i say this all the time, but you are doing a great service here...we hear these stories in the MSM superficially, but you really drove the point home when you actually provide a visualization to this commercial real estate mess...Keep up this great work, and hopefully you will inspire others from other parts of the US and around the world to bring some light to their area...If i had your skills, I would do the same here in the Bahamas, with all the empty hotels and casinos that are here!

  • They were all built for the Chinese?

  • boom boom pow

  • Hey that's another good place for homeless to live in. Hopefully there is some land nearby to grow vegetables in.

  • Donald Trump sure is wearing a brave face...I wonder when he's going to go bankrupt in this fucking retail building mess?...that will be pretty sweet seeing the mighty FALL*

  • What is happening is just the beginning. Once the dominoes begin to fall, the whole market and our economy will come crashing down. I would not be surprised to see 25% unemployment (U3) this time next year with (U6) reaching 40%. Martial law will quickly follow as food riots startt to rip cities apart. In 2011, we'll see one or more American cities burn. The sheeple will wail and gnash their teeth... and the wolves will prey upon them... and the sheeple will have to beg us sheep dogs for help.

  • The sheeple will be fleeced ....

  • a ghost town truly........

  • downloaded really slowly!

  • why some ppl always have to bring chinese and Arab into this issue ? It's easy to blame it on someone, but only those who are brainless don't know their governments gave away all the taxpayer's money to the CEO of the Goldman, GM....big saving plan or wat?

  • goldman is a jewish name you brainless

  • Refer to "Goldman Sachs Group Inc"....do I have to type everythings in order for you to understand ? Gee...

  • who going owns the business mabe chinese and Arab.

  • Well, when the big earthquake happens the whole area will be pulled into the sea. Nobody will have to worry about all the vacancies then.

  • Nice landscaping at that Office building. I would be willing to bet that in short order these building start to be dismantled by thieves, getting the Palm trees, gutting the wiring & metals & in no time flat this building will look like Stalingrad circa 1942.

Incredible to think that millions of Dollars were spent on building materials, fuel in manufacturing & transporting to the assembly area.

In what do we get for all this waste? Well we can marvel on the stupidity of some greedy people.

  • George your the best in this genre of YouTube videos, great sound effects boom boom boom.

I hope you can do a movie like the Inflation Nation on this subject.

It kind of bothers that the devolpers of this have not gotten thumped in the head for their incredible stupidity and wastefullness.

Were these developers so dense that they somebody didn't tell these dumbass's that these are nothing about albotross's?

No accountibility, just evebody getting their share of the pie & splitting.

  • Good video, George.

    "Bubble, bubble,

    Toil and trouble,

    Hey , I think I see,

    Barney Rubble."

  • So having homeless is not a condition of not having homes, its an error manifest in our money game, and soon the game will be over.

  • Your absolutely right, in 1995 I needed good credit and about $1000 bucks to rent a slum apartment. In 2007 I bought a house with nothing down, it was easier to get then when I tried to rent a slum apartment in 95. I also got my house refied down to 5.5 fixed thanks to Obama, fixing to buy a new Smart car with $4500 credit from guess who Uncle Sam.

Thanks Obama for the ReFi and The Goverment paying my downpayment on my new foreign car.

    The bubble goes on.

  • off the 91 fwy... watched them build it...all the sunprime loans companies are gone. banker boys...

keep driving west to Orange county they are all over the place...and getting worse..and the idiots are still building off the Five fwy in south OC...go north same thing off the 101 in North Ventura... Just open your eyes people.. welcome to the future of Taxifornia

    ..

  • They should turn those office complexes into public schools.

  • yeah for the sheeple's kids....TEACH EM EARLY!!!

    idiot.

  • When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing -

When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors -

When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws dont protect you against them, but protect them against you -

When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice -

You may know that your society is doomed." Quote from Ayn Rand's, "Atlas Shrugged", 1957

  • What are the banks doing with all the defaulted credit card accounts that are exploding????

  • I'm guessing much of the banks are padded with bailout money.

I see a growing culture of people like George has suggested, abandoning payment on their credit cards.

You're talking about people that can't afford their mortgage and have been foreclosed--their credit is already shot.

As if they'll feel any guilt about owning un-secured debt to credit card companies?

What happens when everyone jumps ship? Hmmm...

  • Comment removed

  • So why not jump in with both feet?

Max out your credit cards by buying PMs, and then cut them up and give Chase, BoA, etc the finger?

You have real money, they have paper.

The faster we break the banks, the faster this system will reset equitably.

  • I live in North Orange County, CA. It's amazing to see in my city alone how many properties are up for sale/lease. It's really sad to see. Not only are the companies or banks who own the building paying the price but the city doesn't collect property tax and the state sales tx. it ultimately ends up effecting the little guy in higher taxes probably.

  • dito..truely amazing what you see when u open your eyes...

  • bubble

    buildings...

    for pod peoples

    when will it ever end

  • Are those office buildings in Menifee?

  • corona

  • Welcome to California

  • welcome to Taxifornia USA

  • i talk to a real estate agent and she told me that they are going to do more commercial and home building in the next coming weeks i was shocked she said it's funded by chase

  • Where I live now

A contractor purchased property that he was going to turn into a hugh industrial complex with homes attached near a park . He got the plumbing in an 1 structure . Have not seen any movement in 6 months . Everything starting to grow over .

  • I've been in construction for 35 years and I've never seen it this bad. I've been out of work for 7 months. Loosing everything.

Thanks for the bailout Ben Bernanki.

  • sorry to hear... what part of the country are you in?

  • Phoenix AZ

  • heard it's pretty bad

  • My stepfather is a construction worker too (he also does drywall, etc.) and he doesn't have work. We live in San Diego. It's pretty bad here although no one will openly say so. They just want to pretend things are ok.

  • Im a 13 year drywaller and 5 year commercial drywall estimator , both residential and commercial construcion is dead here in the north east , Ive never seen anything like it , I know a 40 year drywaller thats never seen anything like it. The only thing I know is what is happening to the U.S. economy is no accident, "Audit the fed"

  • What is happening here has been planned for a long time by the NWO..it is meant to break US down to the point where we are desperate and crying for the government to seize control of everything. The Fed is a private company and should never have been given power over our money. Abolish the FED!! Check it out here on Y.T... the FED is a private company controlled by the world's super elite.

  • Unfortunately the vast majority of Americans STILL think that what you've said is a "conspiracy theory"....as hard as that is to believe. They really think it is.

  • All willing to be written off. If it does not make money in 90 to 120 days, drop it like a hot potato. It's a total loss at 180 days. Write off. I used to write off hundreds and thousands at tax time. After 180 days, it's worth more as a write off.

  • Tragic..all those buildings just sitting there vacant..what a waste.

  • Crazy stuff

I remember back in the 80's when I was living in San Bernardino an Norton airforce closed the base there .

Business's started shutting down left an right .

Reminds me of that time .

    Peace.

  • By the time the commercial bubble bursts, it should be round two for residential, then round 1 for credit cards. The house of cards has yet to fall. Lock in some gold/silver, store away food, and get ready for a rough time.
