I suppose what I should have said was that Cuba has a better healthcare system, which I believe it does, taking into consideration that its not NEARLY as wealthy as America, they have a better system, I personally know people in America who have had to spend the price of the houses they live in because they had complications with their kids when they were born, think about it.

@DP719 I see how your comment would seem fair, so I will refrain from calling you an idiot, but you know very well that it is the responsibility of the government to get the troops out or anything involving the military and it SHOULD be the responsibility of BP to clear up the mess or in the least help to do so and also to compensate the people negatively effected fiscally. BP has not done this thoroughly or well enough so it's left to scrounge up that bit if money which would help...

What I CLEARLY took issue with was Barack Obama sending out this message out there that the effects of the oil spill are gone and I ALSO mentioned that he should probably be letting people know what's up so they could for instance, donate and help where BP has failed and where the government has failed to prosecute BP

It's because these mainstream media sources which are controlled by the government but also by people who probably have monetary interests in BP and oil. @GoodBadAndGrey No, the MSM is not liberal? Where can you point to an example of any liberal reporting? You might catch glimpses of liberal examples (Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, The Young Turks, atc). But the big news networks (abc, cbs, nbc, cnn, and especially fox) are conservative.

@aurora990 Health care reform has passed but it is a step in the right direction, currently Cuba has a better health care system that you do. Your right and freedoms are being taken away by the government, regardless of republican or democratic, this would be the case.

Perhaps what you have read, listened to and seen has made liberalism sound bad, but this is not the case, especially if you think that having your rights and freedoms away is a bad thing

@aurora990 Ironically, the health care reform package was anything BUT liberal. It was a massive giveaway to industry. Hear any complaints from the insurance industry? No, they will be getting federally subsidized subscribers. There is no protection against rate increases, and no public option. The lack of the public option angers most liberals, in fact. This was not a liberal victory, and I can't even say it was a conservative victory. It was a corporate victory.

Which is a shame, but in a state of affairs where BP can hold an internet meeting and clear itself of responsibility for what happened, it's ridiculous. This is mainly down to certain government elements having monetary interests in BP and in the general media. I am no conspiracy theorists but I think at this point it's no secret that main stream media is controlled
