@nonamechick88 you're supposed to throw out your mascara every 3-6 months, because of bacteria and germs and grossness. mascara typically lasts around 6 months for me because ive found they tend to dry up a little bit by then, plus if you use it EVERYDAY itll be pretty much gone by then.

i actually bought this mascara the water resistant one and it smears alot..im not sure if it is supoosed to be that way but i generaly have very long eye lashes and when i curl my eyelashes and when i apply the mascara it is heavy and it uncurls my lashes..i really did not like the product.

yeah same here like i have small eyelashes and the covergirl mascara did not really make them too long just a little bit but it does space them out good like their not stuck all together and it doesnt clump at all it gives you really nice eyelashes.

I bought this instead of Clinique's Long Pretty Lashes...to save $. Should've went with the Clinique. Anyone else notice how Not black this is? The 'Very Black' is sorta gray. And, it's dry and makes lashes feel crispy, and u can't build up the coats. ARG! Love the reviews :)

I thought the lash blast volume worked better after a few uses because it can pick up a lot of product but te formula is amazing and doesn't clump at all, it's the best mascara i've ever tried (well, I also love YSL volume effet faux cils and dior show blackout but for the price, Lash blast volume is exceptional) I really want to try the lengthening one!

I don't think lash extensions are silly at all...there's a reason why it's still all the rage and people will shell out cash to get them. It's sooo nice to not have to fuss with mascara in the morning, having your lashes look perfectly long and lush, making you look so pretty even without any other makeup on. However, I couldn't stand how often I needed to come back to the salon to get "refills". And I hated how I couldn't sleep on my face. Otherwise, they're amazing.

I think you made a great choice with the tubes of Lash Blast, cuz I actually did look up reviews of the Great Lash big wand, and the general consensus is that it sucks like the original overrated one. :/

good review. a little lengthy. but i still give it 3 stars. (out of 4 of course). maybe you didn't know this, but the max factor one is not a dupe. it is actually the same formula (or 99% the same) as the lash blast. both max factor and cover girl are owned by procter and gamble, and so they advertise much of their products the same. that's why those two VERY popular volumous mascaras look and feel exactly alike. could have been a little more clever in my opinion... but ehh. *shrugs* :-)

i'm using the regular orange CG lashblast waterproof - and find it SO difficult to take it off! i have (usually) great waterproof eyemake-up-remover but it can hardly take all of the waterproof lashblast off. any tipps?

xoxoLeony: I use Neutrogena's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. I soak a cotton ball with the remover and place it over my eye for a good 20 seconds & that REALLY helps to loosen waterproof mascara and liner. If that doesn't work maybe you should try an oil-base remover, that is if you haven't already. ;)

i have this mascara and i refuse to give up on it.. it doesn't clump on me but it takes many many coats to get the look i like. but it never clumps! the water proof version may be better.. everyone says the water proof lashblast volume is better. i don't know the difference. have you noticed a difference with the regular lashbast volume vs the waterproof lashblast volume?

The Max Factor 2000 Calorie is one of my favorite mascaras: nice, natural-but-defined fanned look without clumping at all. But the original orange LashBlast I hated, it was SO clumpy. But the brush and tube is exactly the same, so I don't know what's going on there. xD The formula differs, maybe?

I always thought the thickness of the lash blast want was a little difficult because I like to get the tops of my lashes too. It seemed like I had apply on the top, then curl, then apply it normal. I think I'll try this one. Thanks for the review! :)

I like to use the Lash Blast length on days where I want a more natural, less dramatic lash look and the volume version with smokier looks. Both are good, but I prefer the volume version for my lashes.

I have this one because I ran into a 'buy one eye product get one free' sale.

I like it. It's an okay mascara. Not the best thing out there but my lashes don't feel stiff with it and the wand is A+ in terms of getting all the lashes.

(It's great for the bottom lashes too.)

I wasn't overwhelmed with this mascara, but I wasn't underwhelmed either. I guess I am just "whelmed" lol. It was just so-so... def. would not repurchase. IMO, stick with the original Lash Blast. If you are going for length I agree that the Clean Definition line is better for a drugstore mascara.

Hi Irene! thanks for the review...don't think I will be buying this now. You know what CG mascara works wonders? and it is very underrated... the Professional Super Thick Lash. That gives me volume as well as length. Another one I really love is Fantastic Lash by cover girl. Sadly though, they are discontinuing it. I just hope Maybelline doesn't discontinue Full n' Soft! I would be lost!
