i ant to buy it cause i allways cut paper and so i want to buy that kind of paper

whoever tells me i will give them 5 subscribers!!!!!

  • the onlypaper i can think of thats similar to that is scrapbook paper and stuff. you just gotta cut it.

go to michaels or jo anne fabrics or wal mart or somewhere.

  • You get them at asian boutiques.. or anime ish places. o_e

  • I use normal scrapbooking paper, that is coloured and patterened and then just cut it into strips

  • i cant seem to get the pinching bit right.

  • btw... how many stars do you have so far?

  • I stopped counting after 1,000 lol

  • how do you make them so perfect? mine isn't perfect. it's like a weird star shape.

  • When I first started, the stars turned out very very odd looking. It took me some time to get the shape right. Practice makes perfect! Don't give up! ^_^

  • ha... that's "le voyage de chihiro", to Miyasaki...It's a beautiful movie.

    good video!

  • where do you get the origami paper strips?

i really need to find them since im making an astronomy project at school and i need to find those strips to make stars. and also im working on making a bottle full of those stars for my teacher lol Please reply back~ Neji123idiot

(on the right of the video)

  • oh ok thanks

  • were do you buy the paper

  • I'm just wondering but does the star origami paper you bought the same feeling as printer paper?

  • It depends, I bought several different types of strips. The shiny papers are smoother and the rest feels pretty much the same as printing paper.

  • Ohhh ok thank you and good video explains a lot on how to make the stars

  • thanks and wow you made alot of pretty stars!

  • whats the song you're using?

  • you rock. now i'm gonna make 900 stars to get my luck. thanks for showing me how to do it.

  • Nice.^_^ I'm going to do that for a gift-- 2min min per 2000 stars...~___~

  • Those are the best stars i've seen so far! Thanks for posting! But, can someone tell me where to buy those kinds of paper? Can you buy them at Hobby Lobby?

  • no but what i do since i can't find them anywhere either..i go at hobby lobby and buy origami paper and cut it up into strips and make stars with them...plus the origami paper is preety when the finished star is done ^_^

  • dude. just use regular paper. they're so small it doesn't matter if you use fancy paper. buy normal A4 (or whatever) paper in different colors and use that.

  • Vinagurl, yours are definitely the neatest, 'plumpest' stars on Youtube. I'm just waiting for my paper strips to arrive, then I'll fold them like you!

  • wer can i buy those kind of paper?

  • you can buy the star paper

    you have nice shinnney nails!!!

  • Cool!

  • I luv the paper u use!

  • where did u get the paper strips, their cool!

  • @kiwirocks001 i have to say it is in the describtion.

  • spirited away music!

  • i doubt it

  • then u dont need to see this then

  • What's the song in the background?

  • i went to the asian garden mall and bought about 1500 pieces for 5 bucks and i'm starting to make stars again with color.

  • Thanks!

  • Is there a particular reason you thread the long bit of paper through the star in the beginning [and before folding the last bit in at the end]? I've always just wrapped it around and only tucked it in at the very end. Does it change the results at all?

  • The treading in the beginning is just something I'm use to doing, but you can just wrap it around like you said. Both ways work and it doesn't make much of a difference. However, when you fold in the last bits at the end, it secures the star and prevents it from undoing itself.

  • Oh, that makes sense. Thank you!

  • haha thnks kinda hard the 1st timee

  • I love doing these. Thank you so much for this tutorial!! ^-^

  • cute

  • Where Can I Buy the Paper, I usually use Regular, But I wanna use this kind.

  • you can buy that kind of paper at a store called morning glory. its an asian store.=]hope you find the paper

  • Thanks...

  • Craft Stores sometimes

  • AW, How Kawaii<3

    Thanks!

  • try folding stars that are tinier than that because i fold stars that are the size of one dot of glue :)

  • wow, that is very small everybody has their own limits my stars are 3/16" by 6 thats the smallest i can do

  • oh thats cool

  • i do too i get my paper fromm opane where do u get urs?

  • from michaels arts and craft store i always buy origami paper there

  • ? do u cut ur own paper? i wnet and they had none...

  • haha, there's another way, make your own 8 1/2" square piece of paper and cut it in well maybe 16 or 32 strips. that way you can make stars like mine

  • when i use regular printing paper and start with pinching the sides one side goes to the inside the other get puffy its so weird gonna buy good paper soon

  • what paper do u use?

  • I use pre-made star strips.

  • i dont put the short ends in the slot i just fold them to the back and just keep folding

  • Yeah, that works too. Either way, in the end it's still a star *^^

  • oh ok thx :) because i saw a lot of people fold stars like that so yeah

  • i fold stars like that

  • omg star confetti

  • thanke you so much!!

  • I love that near the end... "Just add it too the pile..." lmao

  • What songs did you use for the video??, i like them all.

  • yayy! i bought some paper yesterday (its shiny!!) and its alot harder the first time then i would have thought... but i am glad i watched this because i have been skipping a step

    xoxo(thankss)

    abercrombielove18

  • where did you buy it?

  • i went to this place called grand plaza.

its like a really big place with like all these korean stores. and i went to the one with all these cute pencils and all cute little asian things, and bought like 3 small packages then like a huge one with like 1,500 strips. : ) i finally got it and have a couple hundred done: )

  • that's cool thanks! I don't have pretty paper like you so I have to use used up magazines. Sometimes I screw up and one side is squished and the other side is puffy.

  • hey were do u get the paper for this?

  • Bought them at stores.

  • do you know stores in Amsterdam Netherlands that sell these strips of paper?

i really wanna make some of these i only have ugly white paper

  • You could always go to a craft store and buy some decorative paper and cut it to size. Or you could use wrapping paper (gift wrap) and cut those to size. Just about any type of paper works. Use your imagination! ^^

  • how mamny stars have you made?

  • Over 1,000 stars.

I'm using them to decorate my room, but too many stars and not enough space...lol

  • lol

  • Perfect job i think you are enough talented...

So you dont need more luck bicoz you have enough...:)

  • what song is it it makes me so happy

  • the star i made today is veery small, first i used a 6x6 inch square washi paper and cut them into 3/8th of an inch

  • Why are they so shiny???

  • why??? Well the person who made it decided to make it shiny...lol it's just the type of paper, they use different material and the light reflects it and it makes it shiny. (same with the scratch paper)

  • haha thanks! i love making them!

  • Wow! This video is awesome! I love origami stars! Do you mind if i add this to my myspace?

  • no problem

  • Thank you. =]

  • the name of the piano song in the background is "Always With Me" from Spirited Away

  • I think it's called "Always With Me",it's from the movie Spirited Away.

  • i'm sure of that ;)

  • Thanks SO much for posting this, I had serious issues and most videos didnt show and explain as well as yours did! :)

  • In what store did you buy your stips of decorated paper?? because i fell in love with them they are so cute!!!

  • lol I know aren't they ☺

I bought them in two different places. Some of them I bought in China Town,CA and the other one was in a mall in California, I forgot the name.

  • sorry to be such a pain about the papers but they are cute... do you remember which city in california (china town) and what store?

  • Well here's the address to that mall in case you ever want to go there.

    ----Asian Garden Mall(Phước Lộc Thọ)

    ----9039 Bolsa Ave

    ----Westminster, CA 92683

  • what floor in that particular mall? because i do go there form time to time.

  • The top floor. When you get there, in the middle should be the jewelry center and on either side (right or left) there are stores that sell them. I don't remember the name of the store, but when you see it, you know right away (just look inside)

  • that's the one my cousin goes to!!! they didn't have good star paper when i went there though... so i asked my cousin (who lives near there) to get me some. i don't live near any place that has any star paper.

  • that's the one my cousin goes to!!! they didn't have good star paper when i went there though... so i asked my cousin (who lives near there) to get me some. i don't live near any place that has any star paper.

  • where did you find your paper?? all i can find and all i have are the solid colors or the holographic shiny ones...

  • Well I bought mines in a store. You can make stars with any type of paper as long as it's not too hard or too fragile.

  • lol how am i suppose to count 900 stars!!

  • one by one...

    lol

  • How long should the strip of paper be? No one ever tells that.

  • Well, I bought my strip of paper so I dunno the exact measurement. Sry... my guess would be it's 27cm long and 1cm wide.

  • i feel so bloody stupid i cant even make the first loop thingy i did it once but i dont know how i did it
