i wnat one so bad where can i get one i live in west kentucky coudl i find them wild??? if so where should i look i have 32 acres of land most woods with a creek that runs in the back i have vrush piles and a about 2 fire wood stack and a thing of building wood is there somthin i can set up to attract them? or maybe a safe non harming trap like would a sticky trap some food in the middle of a square of duck tape? just take water and pur it over to let the lizard come loose from it
idont think u can catch them in kentucky. im pretty sure they live in arid or desert enviroments such as oregon r california. im staying in oregon and these lizards are fairly common.
Are you sure? Because the Western Fence lizard lives solely in the western states, like California, Washington, Idaho, etc. And so is the Sagebrush Lizard (an identical species), but there are isolated populations in North Dakota and Nebraska. The only fence lizard that might reside in your location is the Eastern Fence Lizard.
Idk man, Western fences only live in the western states. You have to be seeing some other, similar type. Maybe a mesquite lizard? Or a swift? It can't be a western fence lizard.
uuhmi have two babies and i caught mine they are very fast but your best chance of catching dusk. Thats when i caught mine. I ran them under a log and put a little container in front of the log and the i lifted the log and the lizard ran right in!
ok i have one and it will eat anything i feed him/her small crickets. mine is a northern though. check out my other channel reptileman2212 you can see mine. i will put upa feeding video later soo subbscribe to my other one thanks.
you need alot of space for these tiny lizards, they roam around, uhm they eat anything you can find around where you catch them. they need UV and heat to copy the sun, they like to climb so stuff to climb on. pretty much it. hows it going with them btw? see its been 2 months
well i just caaught one today (i already have geckos so i have the what not an extra 5 gal and burrowing sand) i put like one big cricket in when i only had sand and he ate it so maybe insects? and they LOVE to burrow
i just got 1= ) but im not sure male/female becuse it dosnt have the blue markings that a male has but it has the yellow markings a male has near legs so....
I dunno, I could be wrong but the baby ones probably don't know how to detach there tails or something. O_O A friend caught mine for me and it doesn't do anything. I sometimes pick it up by the tail (though I try not to) and it really doesn't do anything. I adore my lizard. <3
you can catch a baby 1 so easily! just quietly sneak your hand to the tail (dont lean to it cause if it see's your shadow it will run)and quickly grab its tail.
You know, you can catch those and put them in a tank with sand, some rocks and a hide. They will eat crickets. You can buy crickets from a pet store. I have 2 males and 1 female, no eggs yet. They are each 5 years old so, they live quite long, suprisingly.
whats the song called? i like it.

Do not grab it's tail because it will detach as a Fence lizard's defense.

I heard from multiple sources that sand is really bad for them, and you should have mulch or something instesd.
