I'm waiting for it to evolve to robotic guns blasting the hell out of each other. It would be interesting the kinds of strategies that would show up... light weight ones which attempt to out manoeuvre the weapons, big ass heavy ones, which can withstand multiple hits... etc...

You can build one but you wouldn't be able to enter it into any competitions because all robot fighting companies prohibit use of corrosives and liquids so it would be rather expensive and pointless to buld one that can't fight for titles
