Her bow isn't broken. Just a few pieces of the horse hair have come off. Trust me, as a Violinist, you can still play even though some of the hair isn't quite attached.

That usually happens when you strike the strings too forcefully against the bow(when you do spiccatos). Or it could also happen from a lack of rosin. I should know, I'm also a violinist.
