I like this review, unlike other reviews this is actually about mixing music from studio work while the rest are just used to talk about listening to music

Ok let's let this comment be the end of a recurring discussion: These are studio headphones, they have some of the best reviews out there for anything near their price range and maybe even some models in a higher bracket. These beat the living death out of Dr Dre's overpriced shit.

Don't even fucking compare the Dr Dre's to these please. Dr Dre's are hyped frequency wise, have leak problems and are nothing but a brand name when compared to the 'real deal.' Thumbs up so everyone reads please!

Would anyone recommend ath pro 700 mk2 over beats by dre pro. I have the pros and I think I want to get rid of them for some audio technicas. Any comments?

if anyone wants megga amounts of bass get some skullcandy skullcrusher subwoffer headphones they have a bass amp and if you turn it all the way up the bass is just amazing

what he failed to mention is that you need a decent sound card to drive these and they will sound way better with a good sound card.

what exactly is the difference between Coiled and Non Coiled? Im getting these but I don't want to purchase the wrong ones

@brianvelasquez get the ATH-M50 not the ATH-M50s the s is for straight cord so just make sure theres no s on the end and it will be coiled! i just ordered mine the other day, i hope there as good as everyone says!

please don't buy dre beats. these are not a replacement (they are flat/monitors, not going to 'fuck your head with bass') but there are SOOO many better headphones for that price. or you can pay a lot less for the same. dre beats are like a gucci bag.

@IMxYOURxDADDY put it this way, i did a few mix-downs on pro tools 9 with these headphones, then transferred them to a professional, (not home-studio) and the results were impressive. =)

@IMxYOURxDADDY Beats pro are all about bass, sometimes the bass is cranked up so high its muddy. It's a brainwash thing where they make all the Dubstep and Rap fans think that if they pay the extra money the bass will make their ears EXPLODE. It will, however the ATH line is the cleanest sound you can get for an amazing price. Save hundreds of dollars and get these.

@ToOFrEaKyFoU they do go around the ears. But as far as the price goes, you gotta look around, i got them NEW in box by the engineer at the studio i was interning, thats why I got them at a good price.
