Yeah, a D1 power conference. The SEC is the only conference more powerful than the Big 12. And Mizzou isn't going to the Big 10. It's called negotiating leverage against the Big 12 to change its policy and get a TV network. The only reason they'd move to the Big 10 would be the increased TV revenue. Mizzou hasn't taken any recruits away from Texas in Texas because kids grow up dreaming of playing there. Mizzou has already taken 3 kids with Oklahoma offers this year.
And Mizzou can't help that the North is weak. Not long ago that the South was weak and the North had all of the power. Nebraska is back and Mizzou is on the rise. And say what you will about Mizzou's schedule, but it still ranked 58th in the country. It's not great but you act like Mizzou is scheduling Fort Scott CC and SEMO for every non-conference game. And it isn't wishful thinking about beating UT or OU. Utah beat Bama with much less talent than Mizzou.

@colbymercury missouri is one of the top academics in the country for a public university, just thought you should know. there have been plenty of top recruits choose MU over OU and UT justin bland and justin smith both chose MU and they were top 25 recruits

Such a disappointment that the rivalry is ending after next season. It's truly an underrated rivalry. The basketball is definitely the game you circle for non-conference, and the football has been good too. I do understand that it's not exactly great for places other than Saint Louis, but here it's wonderful.

He was great. We're gonna miss him. However, we played better defense after he got hurt. He was out for much of the season. Luckily, most of our starters on defense were new so they improved a lot over the course of the year and were able to make up for his absence.

Such a disappointment that the rivalry is ending after next season. It's truly an underrated rivalry. The basketball is definitely the game you circle for non-conference, and the football has been good too. He was great. We're gonna miss him. However, we played better defense after he got hurt. He was out for much of the season. Luckily, most of our starters on defense were new so they improved a lot over the course of the year and were able to make up for his absence.

that opening game of 2008 is going to be absolutely insane. Illinois is a GREAT team and SO young. The winner of that game next year will be on its way to a big season.

looks like illinois almost won. hmm. maybe tigers aren't that good since they haven't played anyone that good and can only beat illinois barely. That was a 50 50 game. Tigers could've easily lost taht game After watching this video, I don't think Mizzou is that good.

Hey guess what....Mizzou didn't lose that game.....but I do think your right Mizzou isn't that good especially that Chase Daniel guy...He's awful.....He only threw for 421 and 5 TD's today against Colorado.....and that defense man so many holes....only held the nations top scoring offense to 10 points....yeah they suck.....dumbass!!!!

I know because Alexander, and Coffman are two of their best receivers. Trust me, Maclin, Franklin, Rucker, Coffman, Alexander, Saunders. All of them will be playing on Sundays. Yeah Mizou lost to Oklahoma twice, ok great. Doesn't take away anything from Mizzou, they had a great year. And if you remember. Oklahoma is a pretty damn good team.

You just made my point. Except that Tommy Saunders will be in the NFL? Hell no. He only gets catches cuz the defense thinks he sucks, so they leave him wide open. Don't get me wrong. He's not a bad player, but not nfl level. And u're right about losing to oklahoma twice. BOTH of those games were road games for Mizzou. Texas is a lot closer to oklahoma than missouri . Bob stoops was WRONG when he said they were on neutral sites.
