Autotune doesnt make u a good voice, just tunes the pitch. If you're a bad singer, auto tune wont make a difference. Trust me, i've tried it already !! Doesnt make any miracles :)

The whole tool set of a producer is rather large and with the tools available, you can do quite a lot. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it as something that can only fix minor problems.

this show is a sham. a lot of you probably don't remember ben mills from 2006, but he was the most original talent ever to come out of the x factor. he came third place. why? because the producers know who they want to win from the moment the live stages begin. in that year simon deliberately played down ben's performances so he could make sure leona would win. the same's gonna happen this year. they want 1 direction or cher to win so they're gonna play down other contestants.

You can tell if something is auto tuned because it has a slight watery sound or liquid change from one note to another. But basically Yes that woman did have vocal effects in post production edited to her voice. Just ask any music major or musician.
This doesn't show how powerful it really is so people might think, 'Oh Auto-tune is not that special', but trust me, it is MUCH more powerful than this shows
It is in fact cheating. They used Gamu who actually can sing to make the effects look less drastic. I've used these things for many years. It makes rubbish people sound decent(in tune). You could even use oscillation and automation on bars to make it seem better. It's much more easier to notice in person with proper examples

I don't know how many concerts you have seen, but I have seen a lot and still going and the albums sure don't sounds like the live version. I like the live versions more because of the real raw sounds and the album versions are tuned, no doubt about it.

You can tell if something is auto tuned because it has a slight watery sound or liquid change from one note to another. But basically Yes that woman did have vocal effects in post production edited to her voice. Just ask any music major or musician.

It is in fact cheating. They used Gamu who actually can sing to make the effects look less drastic. I've used these things for many years. It makes rubbish people sound decent(in tune). You could even use oscillation and automation on bars to make it seem better. It's much more easier to notice in person with proper examples

Manually auto-tuning(lol) is for people that cant sing, it is handy for studio works
so u see, you missed the point, the girl can sing, but her perfection was brought to the level of the singing legends of all time via auto-tuning , and that is whats considered offensive by many talented singers
