Or maybe your racial background? lol Anyway I think this look and style suits you best, or maybe more of the tribal look/style. Oddly, I normally prefer the traditional. As a martial arts teacher and darabuka player for a troupe, I can say you are quite good, especially for under a years practice. The negative ones are mostly just racists. Take care.

They are best.U have nice body and face. U need more technics and learn improvisation. And, jesus, do u listen music? How about trying connect music,and movings? By the way, music has rytm.

2 years? This video was posted in October of 2008, when I had a few months of lessons. I don't care what Latvian and Russian girls dance like after 3-4 months, I am my own person and my style is completely different. I improve at my own pace and I am doing much better now than back when I posted this video.

I think I know what you mean. With metal, you can dance to the music and if you do it well, it will look good, but you will always be just dancing to the music.

Using "belly dance" music, especially drum solos, you can do more than just dance to the music... you can become the music.

i am EGYPTIAN , belly dancing runs in my blood , so trust me , u are a very much talented belly dancer , but it was not a a good idea to link both metal music with belly dance , ... the spirit of belly dance and the hidden sexual touches are totally lost to the hard music , ... i have subscribed though , ...

I agree, to a degree. I do also think that Arabic music is the best for belly dancing, only with Arabic music will you get the real essence of Raqs Sharqi!

But this is me being creative and having fun in my own space, I think people should be free to create and dance to whatever inspires them.

But yes, I think it is essential to get in touch with the music from where belly dance originated, which is why I do Egyptian style belly dance and not American Tribal Style or Tribal Fusion.

I'm not a big fan of metal, either, Yame ... but you could dance to anything (marching band, banjo, bagpipes, whatever)!

Thank you, Malphas. The second song is called Woe of the Defeated and it's by a band called Hollenthon. I can see how they sound similar to Therion at times, but they are generally more "folk-ish" than Therion. Both are awesome bands, though.

Thanks for the compliments! I have 2 full costumes; one I recently purchased which you can see on my Eshta Ya Amar video, and one I made which you can see on my Raks Bedeya video.

Everything else are assorted skirts, belts, shirts, scarves, and bras that I bought or made separately and don't actually match with anything else.

Thanks! Well I figured some people who like my dancing might like the video regardless of the music, but I also occasionally get people who will complain the music is terrible, or metal people complaining because I'm dancing to their tr00/kvlt/evil and sacred metal like's it's heresy to have fun... so I like to let people know exactly what they're in for. If they can't stand metal (or dancing) that much, why watch?
