Well, it's not actually a monkey, it's an ape - a chimp to be exact. Monkeys have tails. Chimps are extremely smart, as most people know. They don't want to be in the zoo. They know they are trapped. They know it's not home. So they are unhappy and this is the way some react. I feel bad when I see chimps in zoos. It's inhumane.
