To avoid some super long comment I'll summarize my view--I use my ps3 for epic single player games and watching blu-ray dvds (and for epic ps+ perks), and I use my 360 for playing multiplayer games and talking with friends (and of course each for its respective exclusives)

The system would most probably crash if you try to put that feature in and use it, because about 70% of the memory is running the game.

I'm certain that the audio quality has to do with the cell processing in ps3 and the fact that most multiple platform games are built to run xbox and then port to ps3.

my best guess is that after building the code to be crunched in the xbox processor, its too hard to rewrite the code to be properly translated by the less powerful single cell processors, so audio quality takes a sampling hit on the ps3.

and yes there should def be cross game voice chat. this is redic at this point

Ok look, when Sony made the PS3 they had it use ALL the RAM available so they can't download things in the background or do cross game chat. But what they did right in doing that is create a new standard for console quality, point and case Killzone 3, UNCHARTED 1-3 Infamous 1&2 the list goes on... Lack of cross game chat is true but the supposed "bad sound quality" totally confuses me. I don't know what exactly ur experiencing when you say games on PS3 sound bad. If anything Sony has always been known for their high level of sound quality that is almost never matched. The name of company "Sony" comes from the latin word "Sonus" which means sound. This dates back from the walkman to the current PS3 and the most recent PlayStation wireless 7.1 virtual surround sound bluetooth headsets.
