Chiropractic upper cervical adjustments address the underlying cause of trigeminal neuralgia...upper cervical vertebral subluxation which in turn causes pressure upon the brain stem which holds the nucleii of the cranial nerves.
I know how you feel. I was a 16 when my mom had her pain attacks and cried and I also didn't know what to do. Just tell her that you know her pain is real and help her by allowing her time to rest. Ask her if there is anything that you can do to help her feel better like praying for her or helping her with the chores at home.
She didn't have cancer, she had trigeminal neuralgia. I didn't know how debilitating her pain was, just that she was in a lot of pain. At age 16, I had to stop going to school to help my mom full time due to her spending long periods of time in the hospital. I helped her with the chores at home, including caring for my 2 halfbrothers ages 4 months and 2yrs old. Later, after her surgery she was in comma for 5 days, I helped her by bathing her, and feeding her till she could do it herself.
I also suffer from TN and my mom suffered and went through a surgery to move the vein that was pressing on her nerve. There are drugs that she can take to help her cope a little w/ the pain or when the drugs don't work other treatments are available and finally surgery.
my mum told me today that she had Trigeminal Neuralgia desease. is it a desease? does it mean that she has cancer? ive been looking it up all night, im so worried. she sits there and cries while the 'electic stabbing' pains take over, and i cant do anything. im so worried
TN is not like cancer, there are different causes for it. A vein pressing on the Trigeminal Nerve, a tumor pressing on the nerve, multiple sclerosis, etc. She needs an MRI to diagnose her reason.
Hi Brian, glad to see you're so strong in light of what's going on with you. My mom was diagnosed about 4 months ago with Trigeminal Neuralgia. If you have this disease, it doesn't always mean you have cancer, does it? She went to the Mayo Clinic and they took biopsies and CT scans and pet scans and found nothing there. She did have a lesion by her left sinus cavity, but they said it was non cancerous. Sometimes she's alright, sometimes the pain is horrible for her.
Mr. Nelson, my heart goes to you, you are one of the precious few ones who deicide on action¡¡¡, very warm and humane work, very kind hearted, and inmensely important for the rest of the population, God bless you , and God bless all patients, the heavier the load, the biggfer the blessings I beg for you.

Hi, Very sorry to hear about your fathers brain tumor. Spitting blood is a serious indication of something wrong. The Doctors are goint to have to fix something immediatly . If you can get a 2nd opinion it would be. Good. I am doing well. No pills and no pain. Remeber to eath healthy. I have websites on that under NelsonIdeas dot com Brian Nelson 713-467-3025.
Hi Brian - I've recently been diagnosed with TN also. Thank you for helping to get the word out about TN. I had never heard of it before being diagnosed. God bless you...Janie
I am dying of cancer. It is getting worse every day though the pain comes and goes. Sharing my experiences, and hearing from others, has been important in my journey. Thanks for posting.
I look forward to hearning fom you. When you post your pain journal on the web others with similar symptons and pain write you. This is valuable to both of you. Most Doctors dont know about Tn. 1 in 25,000 have it. People think you are faking it. They don't see anything wrong. You tell them you have been to numerous doctors and they don't see anything wrong either so they think it must be in your mind. Brian
Hi Brian I have TN also. Its hard to explain just how terrible this disorder is to most people and how much it keeps you down. Pain and I are old friends now. I have found some things do help and some days are "better"... hang in there, it does have remission periods, that are much better.
I went to your site but couldn't find a video on your Trigeminal Neuralgia Story. Go to my main domain RadbotMacJack Thanks for your kind comments. Go to NElson Ideas com for creative web directory. From there send me a mail. I can put your TN Youtube story on my TN Story STite. Brian Nelson 713-467-3025.
Ok Brian, will do. I have studied this disease for many years, since getting it; when a tumor was removed from my lower right jaw (5th cranial nerve) in 1996. I have spent thousands of hours looking into every possible angle. No cure as of yet, but some days its worth being alive. I couldn't say that 5 years ago. I will most likely call you.
