  • to hell with all these people saying dont rev it, fuck it! rev the damn thing all day aint gonna hurt a john deere. aint nothin run like a goddam john deer yeah buddy

  • Don't rev an cold engine like that!

  • that's one nice lookin "fahrty-eight fufty"

  • HI all you Dudes this video was stopped when the tractor started for 5-6min to allow oil to the head and then start video and REVED up the engine as a normal Irishman would do OK,,,

  • dude why the hell would u rev it up while its still cold.

  • thats why you plug diesels in!! because when you start it, it will start right up!

  • -10 celcius or farenheit?

  • @HYJACKIE Off her accent Celsius.

  • That sounds and starts more like a 55 series then a 50 series. It must have an updated fuel pump on it. And revving it like that with it being cold will break rod bolts and pistons. The pistons are rattling around inside the cylinder walls due to the cold and wearing them out 4 times as fast.

  • GLOW PLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MultiBaldEagle john deere never fitted them with heater plugs!!

  • jak trup mój jest z 84 roku i przy minus 10 od strzala pali

  • why not wait for the glow plugs

  • @sportscarfan1989 because it doesnt have any!! you could get them with a block heater tho

  • R.I.P 4850 with revving it like that

  • reving an engine like that on any cold start much less one that's -10 is asking for engine damage... it's like you jumping out of bed in the morning and being forced into running a 5 mile marathon barefoot.

  • At about 1:18 look at the top of the screen where the exhaust is it bellows out black smoke. I know u shouldn't rev a cold diesel engine but why. I meen I would never do it. How does it wear the engine.

  • @jonny2k100 all the seals, piston rings etc havent had time to expand and seal properly. Oil hasnt reached all the moving components yet. well thats my take on it. much like not doing any exercise for a long time and then just going hard out. You hurt the next day

  • shit :D in Lithuania was -27 and better star then this tractor :D strange....

  • I could never do that to a cold engine

  • Hello there, a bit of bradex easystart might be an option for the next time.

  • you must have put about 2 years of wear on that engine by revening it after the cold start ijust let it tick over the next time.
