they would have gone for it on 4th down and made it with a qb sneak by nesbitt. nesbitt was running all over vt with qb isos, sneaks, and option keepers for over a 130 yards. the outcome would have remained the same. this call, though, completely changed the outcome of the game.

That is fairly confident considering you were playing against a defensive team. All it takes is one screw up by one GT player or one great play by one VT player and you don't get it. Not to mention a free first down easily changes the game.

They called Helmet to Helmet, and it was...but that being said that was a really really weak Helmet to Helmet call and makes the penalty itself look weak when it is really a call that should be reserved for the idiots in the middle of the field who purposely launch themselves at receivers trying to catch passes over the middle...a kid in Idaho died from a crossing route where a DBack launched himself at the receiver and caused the kid brain damage...

This was a blown call, and it really changed the nature of this game. If the call would have not been made, ga tech would have had the ball back, and with their offense, it would have melted a lot of time off the clock for a long scoring drive. Now I know I am assuming that ga tech would have scored but they had the momentum until that flag.

Just curious, do you have the UNC @ GT game, where they kept the clock running when GT was driving down the field. Time elapsed due to the clock continuing after a 1st down AND a receiver going OOB.

This is the first time I felt man-love for CPJ, as he absolutly gave it to the refs. They replayed CPJ yelling at the refs on the board and everyone cheered. GT won, but that would have been a scoring drive for sure.

dude trust me i am a tech fan this didnt cost us the game it was nesbits fumbles that gave them 10 points one of which was with about 1:10 left in the 2nd he fumbled gave them the short field and they scored a td we went in to the half down 14-9 in stead of up 9-7 the fumbles cost us the game cause if nesbit wouldnt have fumbled it would have been 10 less points for them we would have won 17-10 not lost 20-17

As a GT fan, I was angry that we did have other chances and failed to capitalize, along with penalties. This ultimately cost the game, not one penalty.

However this was a clutch play which would have forced a VT punt but instead lead to their go ahead score. It was a pretty bad call(which wasn't even called correctly anyway), and certainly didn't help anything.

I see the section of GT fans wanna blame the refs even though their team fumbled the ball 4 times. Every coach in the NCAA was told that shots to the head would be more closely called this year. Should it have been called, maybe and maybe not but why even risk getting called for it?
