I believe the "lamp shade" was an Elisabethean Collar, the type used to prevent cats and dogs from disturbing stitches after surgery, aka a "cone of shame".
Yeah, Pass the Pigs looks like it makes a good giant-size game. I think a giant foam mockup of The Adventurers would be cool. What do you say AEG? ;-)

Good thing you didn't cover the board game library. There were full at 4pm and you had to wait to play. They would call you when space became available... even then there wasn't enough seats and the pay structure was idiotic. It has been so horrible compared to ORIGINS CABS for MANY years. They basically say 1 person buys a pass and any con attendees can game with the person with the pass... which sounds nice but I told them everyone in Gen Con is gaming with me so only I needed to have a pass.
This year I met Margret Weise of Dragonlance fame, and Shane Hensley & Clint Black of Savage Worlds. Demoed some great games too, but sadly missed you guys!
