Not for long.. She tried out since the only rule the show has is that the performer cannot be signed at the time of their audition. She advanced to the top 36 but got disqualified right after she made it since they felt she had an unfair advantage. She got screwed over basically... But it's a TV show and they wanted some drama.

She was on the current season (8) and yes she's dating Mark. :)

emily clears up the "writing" part of "Fall" saying that they ALL wrote it but mark and joanna put the 'cherry-on-top' or final touches on the lyrics and the producing side of it....she's not trying to steal credit people, that's just how the creation of it went!! the final product is what she's insinuating...emily clears it up on twitter :)
