its funy i went to school with "2 hard 2 guard" we went 2 a divison one junior college ( globe institute of technology) thats when he first came 2 da states. he dint speak english 2 good.. but he was mad cool, he was ineligable to play that yr, then left the following yr, havent seen him since, then one day i ahve a game at west 4th in ny and i see this ni99a int he news paper like yo thats my ni99a lol.. im glad he doing his thing...im assuming his english got much better

Well, no-need-to-guard has been ruled inelligible to play during the first semester of the season. Granted it wasn't his fault, he was given faulty information about a class from his academic advisor. He could become eligible next semester (January) if he passes all his classes this semester. The EWU head coach wasn't optimistic that DeLeon would play at all this year. Seems like he is not doing well in two of his classes. You should see him back on the NY playgrounds soon.

Here are "No Need 2 Guards's" final stats for the 2008 season: Avg. 26.2 minutes and 12.5 pts, that's .477 points per minute. 37.0% shooting overall, 32.0% three pointers. 708 minutes played with 70 turnovers, for an avg. of 1 TO per 10.1 minutes played (worst on team). Turnover to assist ratio of 1:1.2 (not good for the pg). Free throw 75% (not bad). Rebounds 2.6/gm (good for the pg). He needs to stay at school over the summer and develop some chemistry with his team mates.

have you compared his minutes per game...he dropped 24pts in 25min vs Kansas (a very good school) and then he dropped 42pts vs Colorado in about 35min. He comes off the bench and usually plays under 20min, and he's only 19.

Here at Eastern Washington we call him "No need to guard". Guy can't shoot, 35% overall and 30% from 3. It's obvious he's never played organized ball before, he can't relate to his teammates, doesn't play any D and so he sits a lot. He had one good game that he can tell his kids about when he's an old man. He should have stayed on the streets and not brought his hack game to a D-1 program.
