  • A LOT of millionaires in Singapore, China, and I recently learned Japan

    Time to move? =O?

  • I'm not going to make a list, but while Citi isn't the shadiest and most corrupt financial institution, it's up there. bank of america is by far the most corrupt I can't believe epople haven't been arrested there yet. But I overall still have high regards for Citi.

Best Financial Institutions based on prestige and ethics (excluding PE firms bc those ar ethe top of the top)

    #1) Goldman Sachs

    #2) UBS

    #3) Morgan Stanley

    #4) Barclays Capital

    #5) Deutsche Bank

    They're all neck-and-neck though =)

  • Citi really helped me get that house and start that business. I really owe them so much.

    (money)

  • does anyone know who the narrator is?

  • Name of the Song???

  • Considering that Citigroup offers far more than just loans and credit cards, it's kind of hard to say that it's trying to mislead people into getting in debt. They offer banking services, investment services, retirement services, saving services, insurance, etc, not just loans and credit cards.

And if people are stupid enough to get into debt over their heads, then tough s**t. Be smart with your credit, or suffer the consequences.

  • i agree citi group does have a diversified selection of services and the only people to blame for debt are credit crunching people themselves who love credit but cant pay it back.

  • "And if people are stupid enough to get into debt over their heads, then tough s**t. Be smart with your credit, or suffer the consequences"

And yet, Citi was stupid enough to get into debt over their heads, they didn't have to suffer the consequences, they got billions of dollars in taxpayer money.

  • Citi just paid back TARP w/interest and now they are buying back senior notes ahead of schedule. I'd say that's a good example of living up to your responsibility.

Yeah, we all make mistakes; it's how you deal with them is what matters.

  • name of the song?

    Thanks

  • Fritz Doddy, is the composer of this song visit his myspace,

    friend ID=10788292

  • does anyone know the song in the background?

  • The commercial is geared more toward potential high-end/high-yield customers rather than ma-and-pa kettle.

  • can you not judge this commercial just by it's artisical excellence? when i first saw this commercial it reminded me why i fought for my Ph.D and masters.this message had a strong imagery and inspired many of my students of their dreams and aimbitions, and of course, the ones who 'first believed in you'.

  • BTW, I referred to cards a lot but obviously Citi provides many more financial options than that. Credit cards are just a more common way that people screw up their lives. Remember kids...stay in school, get good grades and don't get pregnant. Live everyday to take advantage of every opportunity that is given to you.

  • Evil presents itself in many guises, but if someone cannot resist a temptation then they deserve whatever result will occur. It's that plain and simple. If you don't earn enough money, get a new job or higher education. If you need money for that education work hard and save up or get a scholarship. There are a million ways to become rich in this great nation. If you are smart enough and are driven enough you can achieve anything.

  • Yes, they are enticing people of all ages, including young kids to get these cards and ruin their lives but the responsibility relies solely on those who choose these cards. Just as many people choose to overeat and become morbidly obese. If someone is not smart enough to maintain a credit card or mortgage then maybe they have no business getting one.

  • I understand you aren't taking offense with me, but I am just making it clear that everyone decides what they want to do in life. Sure, I have a credit card from Citi and spend money on it. But I have never ever defaulted on my payments and that is how people screw up.

  • All are variables that are able to be controlled by the individual who ultimately makes the choice to get that credit card, that loan, or mortgage. Just make sure you read the fine print and thoroughly understand what you're getting into.

  • citi is the world's financial leader, and this commercial proves it

  • where can I get a copy of this video

  • one of the best commercials ever! citigroup definetely is a quality firm and it's a quality commercial.

  • the song is clocks from coldplay but without the vocals..

setting, atmosphere, and even the narrator's voice is perfect for the whole thing

  • I think this is the best commercial made. Better than the ones that are nothing but annoying.

  • I love this new ad campaign. Great response to Bank of America's "Bank of Opportunity".

  • that song is soo tight!!

  • The music was created specifically for this commercial by the ad campaign company. I don't believe it's something you download.
