My dad is a mechanic, he works with road cars and rally cars, because I live in Barbados and that's the real only motorsport. A little track racing goes on but not much. Me personally though I just like driving cars, I want to be able to tune my cars, but not as my job, just a hobby/pastime. I actually own an MR-s can't drift it really, but it's still fun to drive

@eastdistrict No, its not even a TRD v8. Its a Chevy LS1 engine. Very good torque band in Naturally Aspirated form. No need for turbos there, which is the up side because NA gives better throttle response than turbo. Turbo = more power.

No offense in any way towards these guys, but to me commercial drift looks absolutely boring.

Don't get me wrong ,these are skilled drivers no doubt, it's the whole track layout, 400HP+ car scene that put me off.

I would rather see cars with lesser power fly around ebisu alike tracks

@hitaro47 it is sad that drifting has turned into a V8 LS1 powerfest in north America but that's what competitiveness does to these competitors, it forces them to out do each other. at least the japanese showed restraint for a few more years before they started out powering each other. Its also funny because most D1 drivers could easily drive and drift better in cars with a third of the power.
