The Bowie song itself might not necessarily have been an influence though, eg. Dylan himself wrote a "Song to Woody (Guthrie)" a decade earlier, etc, etc.

the title reminds me of "song for Bob Dylan" by Bowie. I wonder if they were influenced by that concept of writing a song for an artist
