This was the best theme. I was so glad when they replaced the dated old theme with the ugly hospital gate. This theme makes me sad, though, since Steve and Audrey start the reel and are such a contrast to the Sonny-dominated GH of the last decade-and-half. I think it's no exaggeration to say that most of the characters would be considered "beloved". Can you say the same about today's group?
@toastietube i STILL miss the themes that George Wright played live..and as to today's cast..no Steve & Audrey, Jessie & Phil, Howie & Jane, Lucille & Al, or Sharon & Henry..this morning, i listened to an audio of i made in 1971 of John Beradino telling the the Christmas Story..this modern-day permeation of 'untouchables' is a stark contrast to seeing (and hearing) how everyone came together at Christmastime..daytime has lost its heart.....

However, in my experience, there are many intellectuals who frown upon following so-called "youth trends" by using 'gay' that way, so I would be careful about dismissing everyone who refuses to use it that way as 'dumb'.
OMG!!!!! This is the GH I knew and love... its like seeing a beloved childhood friend for the first time in ages... if only if only it could be as good as it was back then!!!
In the Netherlands we only have B&B and ATWT and I think they have the best daytime openers in the USA...but I must say I love this and the current GH opener as well!
