  • I purchased my Black Diamond Ahwahnee from HumbleOutdoors last summer for about $575, it came with a free footprint.

The Ahwahnee is a tent designed for constant use...it's tough. There is a price premium, but if you are calling it home...it's well worth it.

  • In the past I have seen so meny of my tents die. So sad. I got the same tent you have over 10 years ago. This Bibler of mine just wont die! It's unreal...

  • What is the music with this video? I love it.

  • @quantumautumn Ah, nevermind. Found it! LOL

  • Wanted to update this vid. Fairly soon after we posted this review Black Diamond express posted us a new tent. Thanks for that Black Diamond!

The new tent has gone rally well so far (although we haven't used it as much as the last one). LIke I mentioned in the reviews I wrote this is a great tent, I guess we just has one that wasn't built as well as the (Chinese quality control...?).

Anyway, despite our issues with the first one this second is great, love it!

  • The reason this was posted?! If you'd read the reviews you'd have figured this out for youselves- BD did not initially want to fix the tent. Being in the middle of a 12 month cycle tour makes life difficult when you are in the middle of nowhere in Ireland and your tent leaks through the fabric everywhere... It's unfortunate that all three of you didn't properly read the reviews that I posted. Obviously Barry I posted them on different sites to try and get a more positve response from BD. Wakeup!

  • Black Diamond would fix it. Probably for nothing. I can set mine up from the inside, in less than two minutes.

  • Is there any site that you did not express your frustration with this tent? Outdoorreview, Trailspace, Backcountry, now Youtube - I get that your upset, but what is your goal in posting the exact same review on so many sites?

I've had an Ahwahnee for ten years, it's a great tent.

  • That's a nice tent. Demise? You mean you retired the tent because of deformed eyelets? Nothing that a handy person could not fix.
